One Piece : Captain, We’ve Arrived at Laugh Tale

Chapter 111: Chapter 111 : Luffy, Our Bounty Has Increased

Treasure and Bounties

The chest of gold contained no ordinary coins, but royal gold jewelry. Even without professional appraisal, it was clearly worth more than 100 million Berries.

As for the medicinal materials, only doctors could truly appreciate their value.

Seeing Chopper lose his composure like this, it was evident these were extremely rare medical ingredients!

Then, everyone noticed a small box lying in the corner of the chest. If their suspicions were correct, it should contain Devil Fruits!

Everyone instinctively looked at Carl.

Carl didn't hesitate. He grabbed the small box and opened it, revealing two Devil Fruits covered with mysterious patterns.

"There really are Devil Fruits! Can the radar actually detect them?!"

"Two! There are two of them—what a development!"

"Hahaha! Finding treasure is always exciting! We must have a feast to celebrate today!"

Everyone was either surprised or excited; no one could remain calm.

Carl took out his copy of the "Devil Fruit Encyclopedia" and made comparisons: "Let me see! Well, this one appears to be a Zoan-type, the Inu Inu no Mi: Model Mangy Dog. And this other one... doesn't seem to be in the encyclopedia."

Upon discovering a fruit not recorded in the "Devil Fruit Encyclopedia Volume 21," Carl's interest was immediately piqued.

Everyone knew that unrecorded fruits were generally exceptional!

When everyone heard about the dog fruit, they exchanged glances. As for the unknown fruit, its value couldn't even be estimated.

So, how would they divide the spoils?

"Ahem, even if this dog fruit isn't particularly impressive, it's still worth 100 million Berries. As for this unknown fruit, I'm more interested in it. A fruit secured with sea stone locks is definitely no ordinary item. Here's what I suggest: the Inu Inu no Mi goes to the Heart Pirates as thanks for their help in this treasure hunt."

"Sounds good!"

Luffy immediately agreed with Carl's proposal.

He was primarily interested in adventure and treasure hunting; the ultimate ownership of the treasure didn't concern him much.

The other Straw Hat crew members raised no objections.

Law and his crew, however, were surprised, as they didn't feel they had contributed significantly.

Although diving to the seafloor wasn't easy, the Straw Hats possessed skills that could have managed it without much difficulty.

Moreover, the Heart Pirates had received Carl's training for many days, so helping out was the least they could do—even without payment.

Yet here they were being offered a Devil Fruit!

Nami immediately objected: "Carl, Luffy, don't be ridiculous! These treasures belong to us Straw Hats! The Straw Hats' treasures are all mine, and I decide what happens to my treasures!"

Everyone stared at Nami incredulously.

Her greed for money and stinginess had reached an advanced stage—likely incurable.

Chopper stepped forward and said: "Law, these medicinal materials are extremely precious. Let's study them together, and then split them fifty-fifty."

Now that was different!

Everyone couldn't help but sigh at the contrast, while Sanji, the love-struck cook, thought Nami's greed for money was simply adorable.

Nami protested: "Chopper, medicinal materials are valuable too! How can you just give them away?"

But Chopper replied: "Nami, these medicinal materials aren't for selling! They're treasures for doctors, and Law is a doctor too. Since he helped us, he deserves a share!"

"Chopper..."

Looking at the innocent and generous Chopper, Nami felt momentarily ashamed.

By comparison, her money-grubbing image seemed ugly and potentially off-putting to everyone. But she genuinely worried about finances—after all, she managed the expenses for the entire ship. Those who hadn't managed a household's budget couldn't understand how costly supplies were.

Though admittedly, some of that money did go toward her personal purchases.

"Well, since even Chopper agrees, I'd look too stingy if I insisted otherwise. The Inu Inu no Mi and half the medicinal materials go to the Heart Pirates, but I won't part with a single piece of gold!"

Nami conceded.

Her crewmates sighed with relief and smiled at Law and his crew.

There was no justification in the entire ocean for requesting help without showing gratitude.

People might not express their disappointment openly, but they'd certainly harbor resentment.

Over time, relationships would grow awkward.

Afterward, it would be a question of whether you'd feel too embarrassed to ask for help again, and whether others would still be willing to assist you.

"In that case, the Heart Pirates graciously accept!"

Law was particularly interested in those medicinal materials. As a doctor, how could he remain indifferent to such rare ingredients?

While he would have understood if the Straw Hats hadn't offered any compensation, their willingness to share made him genuinely appreciate their gesture.

Especially the medicinal materials—to him, those were more valuable than the Devil Fruit.

Law took the Inu Inu no Mi, then began examining the medicinal materials alongside Chopper.

Nami directed Usopp, Jango, and Mr. 3 to carry the box of gold into her bedroom and add it to her private treasury.

Carl didn't concern himself with the gold.

Although Nami was money-hungry, she truly was responsible for the entire crew's expenses.

While Luffy and the others might hunt for food regularly, items like firewood, rice, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, and tea all cost money. Everyone's clothes, ship repair materials, and the massive amounts of drinks consumed during celebrations—all required funding. Nami even provided everyone with pocket money.

So in reality, Nami's personal savings weren't substantial, and Luffy might actually spend it all if left unchecked.

Nami's character wasn't just innate; it had been cultivated by the perpetually cash-strapped Straw Hats!

Therefore, Carl often overlooked Nami's greedy tendencies.

He gazed at the Devil Fruit in his hand, silently contemplating how to identify its name.

"By the way, Luffy, about the news!"

Usopp suddenly remembered something important and called out: "After you went underwater, we bought a newspaper. There's a report about us—our bounties have increased again!"

"What? We have new bounties?!" Luffy was instantly excited.

"These bounties will make your jaw drop. Look here!"

Usopp laid the new wanted posters on the deck. Law and his crew gathered around, unable to help staring at them.

Straw Hat Captain Monkey D. Luffy: 100 million Berries!

Lightning Swordsman Carl: 1 billion Berries!

"Lion King": 250 million Berries!

Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro: 200 million Berries!

Black Leg Sanji: 120 million Berries!

Tengu Sniper King Usopp: 80 million Berries!

Hypnosis Master Jango: 35 million Berries!

Cat Burglar Nami: 30 million Berries!

Sea Beast "Moo Moo": 2 million Berries!

Pet Chopper: 50 Berries!

The Straw Hat Pirates had officially entered the billion-berry league, becoming major pirates comparable to New World powerhouses!
