One Piece : Captain, We’ve Arrived at Laugh Tale

Chapter 110: Chapter 110 : Teacher Carl, Can You Cut Open The Seastone

Underwater Treasure Hunt

After drawing lots, Luffy, Nami, and Robin descended to the ocean floor in a submarine.

Usopp and Chopper, who hadn't been selected, were visibly disappointed. Sanji, however, was even more devastated. While Usopp and Chopper longed for an underwater adventure, Sanji simply wanted to be alone with Nami and Robin.

As the submarine submerged, Carl quickly averted his gaze. Noticing a News Coo flying by, he purchased a newspaper and rolled his eyes as he read its contents.

Meanwhile, the submarine continued its rapid descent.

Nami held the radar in her hands, guiding their direction, while Luffy maintained his Observation Haki the entire time.

After diving nearly one kilometer, Luffy finally detected something at the seafloor with his Haki. The ocean floor in this area reached depths of two kilometers. Though not as deep as Fishman Island, it wasn't easily accessible.

"I sense something! It seems to be a huge shipwreck!" Luffy exclaimed excitedly, stomping his foot.

"A sunken ship? I wonder if there are sea monsters lurking nearby," Robin commented with her characteristic smile, casually mentioning something frightening.

"A shipwreck? That means we might find treasures from some old pirate crew—not just Devil Fruits, but chests of gold! I'm going to be rich!" Nami's eyes literally transformed into beli symbols, making it difficult for anyone to look directly at her.

Bepo thoughtfully activated the submarine's lights, illuminating a small portion of the seabed visible through the viewport.

Soon, a massive, nearly completely decayed shipwreck came into view. Alongside it were two large, rust-covered chests.

The treasure had to be in those chests!

"Treasure chests! They're treasure chests!" Luffy pressed his entire body against the glass window.

"Indeed, treasure chests. It seems Carl's radar was truly useful," Robin remarked with admiration.

Law, Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin exchanged bewildered glances, scarcely believing that there might be Devil Fruits inside those two chests.

Nami could barely contain herself. "What should we do? Go out and salvage them?"

Law shook his head. "If you go out like this, the water pressure would kill you. We're all Devil Fruit users, and there's no diving equipment on board."

"Then what should we do? We can't just see the treasure chests and return empty-handed!"

"It's simple. ROOM!"

Law activated his ability, tossed a ball of paper onto the floor, and used his Shambles technique to swap it with the two shipwreck treasure chests.

With a loud bang, both treasure chests dropped into the submarine.

"Hahaha! The treasure chests are mine!"

Nami didn't care how dirty the chests were; she immediately rushed to open one. However, as soon as she touched the lock, her body went limp, and she collapsed to the floor.

"Nami! Are you okay?" Robin quickly moved to support her.

"Sea stone!" Nami exclaimed with lingering fear as she regained her strength.

The locks on the treasure chests were made of sea stone!

That meant there must be something valuable inside!

Luffy examined the lock and confirmed it was indeed sea stone, completely undamaged. Both boxes appeared to be in good condition. Though they could be forced open, it risked damaging whatever treasures might be inside.

"Straw Hat, why aren't you affected by the sea stone?" Law asked, somewhat surprised.

"Huh? Oh, I am affected, but because I wear a sea stone bracelet during my morning training every day, items with low sea stone content only prevent me from using my abilities. They don't actually drain my strength," Luffy explained casually, stating something that defied common knowledge.

It was then that Law remembered he hadn't seen the Straw Hat captain use his abilities during morning exercises lately.

And he always wore that bracelet.

So it was a sea stone bracelet!

"Straw Hat, is training with a sea stone bracelet really effective?" Law couldn't help but ask.

"I'm not sure, you should ask Carl about that." Luffy, incapable of contemplating such complex questions, immediately redirected to Carl.

Law nodded, making a mental note to ask Carl later.

Everyone searched the sunken ship once more to ensure they hadn't missed anything before ascending.

There was no need for caution when returning to the surface, so Bepo controlled the vessel to surge upward. As they broke through the water's surface, seawater splashed directly onto Usopp, Chopper, and Sanji, who had been anxiously watching the sea the entire time.

"Everyone! We found treasure chests!" Luffy waved excitedly.

He carried the two large treasure chests onto the Going Merry's deck, with Law and his crew boarding shortly after.

The others immediately gathered around. Usopp went straight for the chest and promptly collapsed just as Nami had. Clearly, the sea stone affected everyone with Devil Fruit powers.

Zoro quietly asked, "Carl, can you cut through sea stone?"

Carl was momentarily stunned. "Cut sea stone? Zoro, that's quite ambitious. I doubt even Mihawk could do it... But you make a good point. Perhaps I should work toward cutting sea stone. Then I'd surpass Mihawk."

Cut through sea stone and surpass Mihawk?

These words ignited a storm in Zoro's heart.

Yes, if he didn't know how to surpass Mihawk yet, sea stone was the answer. When he could cut through sea stone, he would surpass Mihawk!

Carl had no idea that his casual remark was taken so seriously by the listener.

From that moment on, Zoro set his sights on cutting sea stone!

"How do we open these?" Nami grew increasingly anxious. Having treasure chests right in front of her that couldn't be opened was unbearable.

"Leave it to me, Galdino! Watch what I can do!"

Mr. 3 displayed a confident smile. He studied the keyhole intently, then manipulated his white wax, transforming it into a key.

"Nami-san, here you go!"

Mr. 3 handed the key to Nami.

He knew that Nami managed all possessions on board and wielded considerable authority—sometimes even the captain and Carl wouldn't dare cross her—so it was wise not to offend her.

Satisfied, Nami took the key and inserted it into the lock. With a click, it opened.

"It worked! I didn't expect you could actually make a master key, Mr. 3. Keeping you around was the right choice!" Nami rarely gave such praise.

"Mr. 3, you're amazing! You're truly my nakama!" Luffy gave him a thumbs up.

"Mr. 3 is incredible!" everyone cheered.

This made Mr. 3 slightly embarrassed, though he seemed pleased by his usefulness. Only Mari observed him expressionlessly, as if she knew his character well.

With another click, the second treasure chest was unlocked.

As they lifted the lids of both chests simultaneously, the golden contents of one chest dazzled everyone's eyes. The other chest contained items wrapped in oiled paper that emitted a medicinal scent.

"Gold!"

"Medicine!"

Nami and Chopper exclaimed at the same time.

Their voices carried unparalleled excitement, as if they were beholding priceless treasures. But this was perfectly normal—one was greedy for money, the other a dedicated doctor.
