One Piece: Alucard the Immortal

Chapter 25: The Strongest Army

Completely unrecognizable as human, Cahill had mutated into a monster due to the Blacklight Virus. Alucard temporarily dubbed him a Blacklight Infected.

Alucard wanted to test the gap between them and whether Cahill possessed the same abilities as himself.

CRACK!

Just then, Cahill's attention finally shifted to Alucard. He transitioned from running on two legs like a human to scurrying on all fours like a beast. No, he only had three limbs left, but his left hand still clutched the greatsword.

"Finally focusing on me, huh? Then come on!" Facing the infected Cahill, Alucard stood his ground, neither dodging nor fleeing, a faint smile playing on his lips.

Many in the Joris Kingdom army showed ecstatic expressions. Though the monstrous General Cahill had killed far too many of their own, if he could also kill Alucard, the culprit, they would die in peace even here.

However, ideals were beautiful, but reality was harsh.

As Cahill lunged, ready to cut Alucard down with the sword in his hand, when the greatsword's blade was a millimeter from Alucard's neck, a loud gunshot rang out, pulverizing Cahill's sword-wielding arm. The greatsword fell to the ground with it.

"Alright, can you regenerate your arm, just like me?" Alucard watched the armless monster with interest.

Due to the powerful shockwave from Casull's bullet, Cahill couldn't help but stumble back a few steps. He barely managed to steady himself. After a furious roar, he charged directly with his massive body, but there was no sign of regeneration at the site of his severed arm.

Alucard retreated a distance, raised his pistol, and fired, saying at the same time, "Can't regenerate, huh? It seems you're still not perfect like this."

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The continuous firing broke Cahill's massive body into chunks of flesh. A moment later, everyone saw the monster that had been slaughtering countless soldiers from both kingdoms turn into mere chunks of meat.

Draugr suddenly reacted, roaring and waving his hand, "Charge! Charge!"

Cahill's mutation had caused everyone else to momentarily halt their actions. Now that Cahill was dead, it was the perfect opportunity for an offensive. How could Draugr let it slip?

Immediately, the battlefield erupted in renewed slaughter.

Alucard, standing on a rock and gazing at the battle below, spread his hands and muttered to himself, "A battlefield, huh? After the River of Death awakens, I'll have an army of my own, won't I? How exciting!"

In the first war Alucard joined, the Harald Kingdom already held a massive advantage.

Four hours later, Joris hastily retreated.

Draugr didn't pursue them but instead opted for a steady, gradual advance. He planned to let his soldiers eat a hearty meal before pressing the attack.

"Prepare a ship. My business here is concluded," Alucard said coldly to Effman, who had brought him there, upon returning to the military camp. Cahill was dead, and King Cnut's assigned task was complete. Alucard had no interest in lingering.

"Understood. I will arrange a ship for you, but the remaining large sum of commission is with His Majesty the King. Please trouble yourself to return to the kingdom with me," Effman replied.

Before leaving, Draugr, the Harald Kingdom army's commander, stopped Effman and whispered in his ear, "His ability... we might be able to utilize it."

Every time Draugr recalled Cahill's mutated appearance, goosebumps rose on his skin. But at the same time, he couldn't help but be captivated by that immense power.

He thought, if they could mass-produce such monsters, wouldn't they be able to assemble an Undying Army?

As a warmonger, the mere thought excited Draugr, and he eagerly hoped to draw Alucard into their ranks.

Effman instantly understood Draugr's meaning. Though he considered Alucard's personality and felt it was likely impossible, there was no doubt he himself was greatly tempted.

Creating immortal soldiers was the desire of every warmonger.

A few days later, in the Harald Kingdom, Alucard successfully received the remaining one hundred million Berries in commission.

Meanwhile, Effman relayed everything that happened on the battlefield in detail to King Cnut. Cnut expressed great interest in building a powerful army. Before Alucard left, he arranged a special banquet in his honor and ordered several beautiful women to serve him.

'Are there no small-chested women in this world?'

At the banquet, though the women the King found were undoubtedly of high caliber, the immense size of their chests was something Alucard had never seen in his twenty-plus years in his previous life.

Empress, Robin, and Nami all seemed to be the type who could burst out of their clothes. Truly, many aspects of this world were unique.

"Alucard, you, who should have been a noble, now have to struggle for money and livelihood. Do you wish to continue this life?" Cnut asked with a hidden agenda, ordering a maid to refill Alucard's cup.
