One Piece: Alucard the Immortal

Chapter 23: You... Perhaps You Can

"Come on! Nelson Cahill! Use that greatsword of yours and try your best to kill me!" Alucard shouted.

Suddenly, his tall figure transformed into bats, flying into the sky.

To everyone's astonishment, the bats swirled around the battlefield, then coalesced in front of Cahill, forming a hand holding a gun.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

A continuous barrage of bullets spewed from Casull's muzzle.

"Is he a Devil Fruit user?"

Cahill scoffed. He couldn't allow the bullets to strike him directly. He pulled back his greatsword, which was large enough to serve as a shield, and blocked the bullets one by one.

Heheheh...

The fluttering of bats sounded like mocking laughter. The bats that formed the hand were less than a tenth of the total. The remaining bats flew behind Cahill, coalescing into Alucard's form, but this Alucard was missing his right hand and his large-caliber white pistol.

Bat Transformation's new ability allowed him to turn into bats for attack and defense, much like a Logia-type Devil Fruit user. However, Alucard would still be injured if hit, though this was meaningless for his immortal body.

During Bat Transformation, the location of his heart couldn't be determined, and hitting his vital points was purely a matter of luck.

More importantly, he could divide his body for attacks, as seen now: his right hand remained in the air, firing shots in front of Cahill, while Alucard himself, without his right hand, appeared behind Cahill.

"General Cahill! Look out!"

Five Joris Kingdom soldiers rushed forward, shouting, and prepared to attack Alucard with their spears.

"It's really inconvenient with only one gun!" Because the white gun Casull couldn't undergo Bat Transformation, Alucard couldn't instantly recall the gun to his hand. His other black gun, Jackal, hadn't awakened yet, preventing him from fully unleashing Alucard's power.

It was truly frustrating to fight like this!

Alucard swung his hand like a blade, severing the spears in the hands of the five soldiers in one go. He temporarily abandoned his attack on Cahill and focused on these five men.

In no more than three seconds, Alucard's hand-blade slashed across their necks. Blood erupted, gushing out, and the five men lost their lives.

Three seconds was short, but for an expert like Cahill, it was extremely valuable. Seizing this opportunity, he suddenly spun around, wielding his greatsword like a whirlwind, slicing Alucard's body in half at the waist.

"Reversal Slash!"

Cahill let out a roar, intensifying the force in his hand, slicing Alucard's body into two halves, with his waist as the dividing line!

Everyone on the battlefield saw this scene. The Joris Kingdom army immediately erupted in cheers, while the Harald Kingdom fell into a deathly silence.

The foreign aid hired by the King... he just died like that? Wasn't he a bit too weak?

"Idiots..."

About fifty meters from Cahill and Alucard, Effman also witnessed this. He scornfully looked at those present who were unaware. "He also has the alias 'Alucard the Immortal,' you know? How could he be killed so easily?"

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

Five continuous gunshots rang out.

Cahill suddenly felt excruciating pain in his arm.

Looking down, he saw the joint of his elbow was shattered. If it weren't for the Frostvine armor, his arm would have been severed with the very first bullet.

His almost-broken arm was completely unable to continue holding the greatsword as a weapon. With a loud "BANG!" the greatsword fell to the ground.

Cahill endured the intense pain and turned around. He saw the eerie, gun-wielding arm still floating in mid-air behind him, the gunpowder smoke curling from its muzzle seemingly telling him that it was the one that had just fired!

"Heheheh..."

Mocking laughter echoed across the battlefield.

Suddenly, everyone watched as the arm floating behind Cahill dropped to the ground.

Alucard's upper and lower halves, which had been cleaved in two by the previous sword strike, transformed back into bats, re-forming ten meters in the air. He reformed into Alucard's original appearance, standing in the sky like a fiend crawled from hell, slowly descending to the ground.

Alucard the Immortal!

Everyone had witnessed it with their own eyes!

A monster whose body would reattach even after being completely cut in half.

If anyone had ever seen the Chop-Chop Fruit, they might instinctively think of it, though Alucard's version was far bloodier.

"What's wrong, Nelson Cahill? The hand you use to wield your sword is about to break off. Why don't you use your last bit of strength for a proud suicide?" Alucard mocked loudly.

Indeed, after five consecutive shots from Casull, even with that armor, Cahill couldn't take it anymore. The elbow joint of his right arm was so shattered that only a layer of skin connected it, a truly horrifying sight. He probably couldn't control that right arm anymore.

"What are you talking about?"

Cahill said indifferently. He picked up his greatsword with his left hand and abruptly chopped off his own right arm, letting it fall to the ground. With a roar, he rallied his troops. "My right arm is gone, but I still have my left, don't I?! Joris Army! Why have you stopped?! Advance! Advance!"

Alucard's eyes widened slightly, revealing a look of pleasant surprise. He chuckled, "Interesting. You... perhaps you can..."
