Omnipotent Husband System

Hao Ren finished taming the elders and came back to the Cauldron Valley. He intended to find a lodging when he realized that Grandmaster Kar might still be waiting for him. The young man headed to the main hall of the Forging Council, and realized that he was again becoming the subject of scrutiny. After all, it was not every day that someone came from outside, and managed to invoke the spirit phantom of an exalted venerable.

Hao Ren didn't mind all this, if he didn't get the gazes, that would be abnormal. Initially he thought that these elders might have some people to remind them about the progress of the situation in case someone invokes the sleeping spirit. However, when Sypher stepped forward and informed him about the situation, Hao Ren realized that these obsolete old coots have placed their eggs in a single basket.

If they had anyone else to tell on him other than Sypher, it would not matter either. He was that confident in handling the situation on his own. Since the problem lay with these old men, he decided to make a move against these men and take them out directly.

Coming to the main hall of the Forging Council he realized that Old Man Kar was indeed waiting for him with Sekai beside him. The old man came over with a smile and said, "Grandmaster Ren, thank you very much, Sekai managed to breakthrough the barrier of seventh level thanks to your guidance."

Hao Ren waved his hand with a smile as he looked at Sekai and said, "It has nothing to do with me that he managed to break through. The initial reason behind this advancement is his own skill and comprehension of the situation. It may seem like his enlightenment in the forging room was provoked by me, but in reality, it is the hunger to grow better in his heart that allowed him to advance. What's more important in this scenario is that he probably learned that he should take his time and make a firm foundation before jumping in the stream."

Sekai bowed to Hao Ren and said, "I have been foolish, Grandmaster Ren. Thank you for your advice, I will always remember the lesson and not act over confident."

Hao Ren smiled and then he looked at Old Man Kar, before asking, "Elder, you seem to be a frequent traveller of this city, do you know where I can stay for the time till the Grand Conference Begins?"

Grandmaster Kar nodded and said, "It would be my pleasure to lead you there. Please, come along with me."

The young man nodded and then the trio left the council tower. The city was bustling with a lot of activity, because there were many independent cultivators pouring inside the city. Grandmaster Kar said, "The fate of these cultivators is filled with struggle and shackles. There only one Master in every thousand, and the grade of those masters is not higher than level five, what a pity. So many people who gave up other paths to work for their dreams, yet they could not even receive guidance from anyone."

Hao Ren looked at Grandmaster Kar and asked, "How many disciples do you have, Grandmaster Kar?"

The question shocked the old man and he replied, "I have three disciples, my son, and my nephews."

Hao Ren looked at a few old refining disciples and said, "Why did you never take any of these people in your care?"

Grandmaster Kar thought Hao Ren was calling him a hypocrite, but he didn't mind and replied, "I have taken several of these independent people under my care, however, they lack the knack one needs to walk the part of refining."

Hao Ren smiled and asked the second question, "Then what is the point of lamenting? The people all over the world make a choice, the path they wish to walk might not bear them any results but they would still walk it with their eyes open, facing all the dangers, and the disappointments. This is the truth of cultivation. Don't worry about them and focus on your own path. Only when you have surpassed your limits shall you look at others and feel pity for them."

The old man shivered, and Sekai noticed a slight shift in the aura from his grandfather. He was surprised, almost to the point where he called Hao Ren a freak in his mind. This man had spent a few hours with them and yet he was able to give them two chances that might as well be life changing opportunities.

They reached a small courtyard and Grandmaster Kar said, "This courtyard is my family property, you can take the inner most room to prepare for the conference."

Han Lingshi was reading a few reports but her gaze was locked to the void. She was sitting in a daze, and the rest of the people were communicating with each other using spiritual communication and Maya Okudera said, "Someone call His Excellency over to meet her, or we will lose out a lot."

Hao Mei took a deep breath and replied, "Well, it is not possible to contact him we have no idea where he is."

They turned to look at Ye Yue who was also participating in the meeting, and the latter said, "Don't look at me like that, Big Brother forbade me from speaking."

She then looked at Han Lingshi and said out loud, "Sister-in-law, can you please hear me out."

Her voice woke up Han Lingshi and the latter asked, "What is it Yue?"

Ye Yue sighed and said, "The people from the Iron Mountain City would be coming over soon to deliver a piece of profit that we brokered with them."

Han Lingshi nodded and said, "Host them at the southern pavilion, don't allow them to look inside the city."

Ye Yue replied, "Yes, but there is one more thing for you to decide."

Han Lingshi raised her brows and asked, "What is it now?"

Ye Yue sighed and replied, "Big Brother found twelve Grandmasters, all level nine or eight. They would be coming over to start a refiner's academy in the nation. He wants you to give them a spot and some people to manage the place."

Han Lingshi furrowed her brows and said, "Is this a joke?"

Ye Yue and the rest of the people gulped because they could sense her rage. Han Lingshi said, "He is never home, and has no idea what is actually going on here, yet he keeps sending more for me to do."

She raised her hand and slapped the table hard. The stone table directly turned to dust and Han Lingshi said, "Tell him to come over and discuss this issue at length with me. I am not his servant. I care not if we are powerful or not, we are strong people and what we need now is peace."

That said she walked out of the imperial study. Han Lingshi had tasted the flavor of traveling in this world of cultivation and she was now feeling caged inside the bounds of the Imperial Capital. This was something she hated a lot, yet Hao Ren, instead of handling things alongside her was giving her more work. She was frustrated.

She reached to her bedroom and took a few deep breaths to calm her mind and sat down to cultivate. However, after a few minutes, her face turned white as if a corpse, and the room was flooded with the energy of the Nether Dragon Flames inside her. It was a coffin made from Ice.

The guards posted outside sensed it and so did Ye Yin. She quickly travelled through the shadows and moved to the Imperial Study where most of the people were still discussing the issue of the academy. Ye Yin looked at Hao Mei and knelt on the ground before she said, "Her Excellency is sealed inside Ice. We cannot get through; I have a feeling that she is going through Spirit Deviation. Please summon His Excellency. Only he can solve this now."

This was a bomb that none of the people had expected and it left them deaf and dazed. The first to react was Hao Mei she dashed out and said, "Lan! We are defence level red! Seal the Capital!"

Ye Yue stood up from her chair and said, "I am going to track Big Brother."

That said, she opened a void portal inside the imperial study and then left the place in a blink. The people had no idea what was going on. This was all too sudden, Han Lingshi facing a Spiritual Deviation meant that something was wrong with her state of mind, and if they couldn't figure it out, it would be drastic.

Han Lingshi was facing herself in the Soul Sea. She stood calmly before her own self that was dressed in a royal coronation attire and she asked, "Why have you come here? What do you want?"

The Regal Han Lingshi smirked and said, "I have come here to make you realize something. All those years ago, when I told you that you can ascend to an even higher realm if only you didn't let him tie you down, do you believe it now?"

Han Lingshi shook her head and said, "No."

The regal self, chuckled and asked, "Then why are you sealed in ice, Han Lingshi, wife of Hao Ren, the wandering dragon?"
