Chapter 42: Entering into the Flying Fortress
'Is there even such a thing?'
Ibro questioned his sense, but when he saw it from far away with his naked eyes, he started to believe.
The trap was meant to send him far away from here, while this colossal castle would hit his village hard, and after it might destroy Noda's village as well.
When he tried to scan this inside of this castle, his divine sense was blocked by some sort of a huge defensive shield. It wasn't surprising for something that big and mighty to be there without proper protection.
The only problem for Ibro right now was regarding this castle, he didn't want to destroy it, he wanted to snatch it for himself!
However, the castle was drawing near his village. if he didn't act soon, his village would be threatened.
So, he made up his mind, went towards that castle without any pause, even his strikes weren't used, evading all the attacks coming at him, until he reached this castle.
Just being there above it, made him feel more ecstatic to grab it under his wing. It was massive, much huger than what he initially thought.
"It's time to crack this shield open then."
He muttered, as he started to use his most powerful attack.
'Nefrisca Santo Janigmay.'
'Nefrisca Santo Janigmay.'
'Nefrisca Santo Janigmay.'
.
.
.
'Nefrisca Santo Janigmay.'
'Nefrisca Santo Janigmay.'
'Nefrisca Santo Janigmay.'
'Sa Romy Dai.'
'Alfa Ta Shtoy.'
'Sa Romy Dai.'
'Alfa Ta Shtoy.'
A big bubble appeared surrounding him, while he used his PSR energy, injecting it into the two swords, while performing the most strongest single opponent strike he had, the dragon descent strike, and he wasn't planning to do just one, he was performing two at the same time, hitting the same point simultaneously.
"Let me see you shatter!"
A two huge swords appeared with two big hands holding them. they followed his movements and two dragon descent strikes befell over the shield.
The shield was made of a strong amount of energy, but facing these two brutal strikes made of ultimatum energy, it couldn't last, and a crack appeared, big enough for Ibro to pass easily through it.
And this was only the effect of a single attack, but he didn't stop as he followed it with a couple more attacks, to widen this crack as wide as possible.
It was worthy of being a defensive shield for this island, or floating castle. As Ibro was content with this degree of defense, he entered inside, knowing for sure such a flying castle wasn't something that could be easily found here, in the entire game world.
Once inside, the first thing he did was to send his divine sense kicking in, looking, without any struggle, towards all the details here.
The more he looked, the more shocked he was. This floating fortress wasn't just a simple fortress, or even an island. It had levels inside it that made it vastly huger than what he initially imagined. Each layer here was attached to a pocket space of its own, which he couldn't access from out here.
Ibro wanted to delve in, explore each pocket space and unveil its secrets, but he had no time for that. The first thing he did was to summon his strongest defenses, the golams.
This fortress was the size of an island, and so he didn't need to fill this small place with weak skeletons, he needed elites, as he was quite positive he would face elite monsters and demons too.
As he suspected, once he started summoning his golams, many monsters and demons started to appear. They all had one thing in common, their strength was higher than any monster or demon Ibro fought before.
The first hit was shielded by the initial wave of summons, which created an impregnable area around Ibro, who started to proceed with phase two, offense.
This time he had no reason to hold back, so he summoned his strongest attack units, the flying frost bony dragons, and the death knights over their skeleton horses.
This time he summoned them in smaller numbers, but each and single one summoned was among the strongest ever inside all the worlds of his pocket space.
So, with this iron defense, and hot offense, Ibro stood his place watching the intense battle unfolded in this place. the more demons and monsters being slain, the more powerful his skeletons became. He was content about it, until he noticed a single problem.
'The castle is still moving towards the village!'
Ibro muttered as he initially thought when he attacked here, the losses would make those leading this fort to abandon it. however it seemed they were determinant for destroying his village.
'Let's then kill every single one here.'
Ibro then ordered his skeletons to push through, summoning others and others until the whole island was covered with white coat made of bones.
Once the surface level was cleared and controlled by his skeletons, he ordered them to push into the deeper levels. This task started to show challenges, as, somehow, no matter how many monsters or demons being killed here, much more would appear and close the gap.
That made his skeletons unable to advance, despite the fact they were stronger than their enemies.
'Fine, let me join in then.'
Ibro then moved, with his two huge swords hanging in the air in front of him. He went towards the place which led to the next level, and then he started to take the stance of the sword whirlpool strike. This strike was his stronger AOE attack ever, and using it in ultimatum form was his strongest form of attack.
His strike descended like doomsday upon monsters and demons, clearing a whole lot of them in the way.
"Push your way through!"
Ibro's scream was followed by a mighty roar that trembled the earth underneath his feet. The skeletons rushed in, like a tsunami, aided by more and more strikes Ibro was launching from behind to support them.
They started to gain momentum again, being unstoppable, killing any enemy they faced down there.
So, when the level was cleared, and it was cleared in no time, Ibro realized the cause and the source of all these endless demons and monsters.
The pocket spaces inside each level acted as a teleportation portal, linking two worlds, or even more, together. So, the space here was small, but in fact these pocket spaces made it able to cover the whole world with their forces if needed.
Ibro sighed, as he couldn't retreat his skeletons from this level then. He just summoned enough garrison here, and then went ahead towards the passage leading to the next level.
The door to the next level was blocked, as usual, with demons and monsters. So, he needed to act, using his strikes, to clear the path, allowing his skeletons to delve in and act.
The moment he crossed the passage bottleneck, everything went smoothly after that, as the demons and monsters couldn't stand against the strength of his skeletons. Besides, they werent the only one who could summon endless reinforcements, as he also could do that.
Level by level he descended, and from his divine sense he knew there were one hundred levels here, which was something odd. He thought, initially, this castle was only five to ten levels max, but now it was one hundred levels.
What also bothered him, was the fact he couldn't find the commanders of this place. He knew they must be hidden deeply in the monsters and demons, but he knew he had no time to waste here.
Whatever this island was here for, his enemies knew their plan had failed, and it was just simply a matter of time before Ibro could control this whole place. so, Ibro knew their best action now was to reach the sky of his village, and attack the village from top.
He also feared, the worst, that they might detonate it. He wasn't afraid of his life, as he had more than one card to defend his, but detonating such an island would lead to great damage eventually happening to the village, or even worse, eliminating it from the surface.
So, he had nothing left in his hand except to strongly attack this castle, and rapidly try to control it.
To do so, he continued to use his strikes without reservations, and his skeletons were summoned to cover the space before they killed every monster and demon there.
'Don't stop looking for them,' Ibro gave his system the order, which he was very stressed about right now. the system didn't reply, as it knew how delicate this situation was, plus his master's desires.
Ibro jumped from level to level like a maniac, without rest, without even a moment to catch his breaths. He kept pushing until he neared the one hundredth level, staying in each level for ten mere seconds, he finally reached there after one thousand seconds.
And when he cleared the monsters and demons there, he was shocked to find nothing to control this island. The control room, the place where the commanders were, wasn't here.
'Damn it!' he cursed, as he used his divine sense again ,trying to find anything he might have missed.
