Naruto:Suna Shinobi

Chapter 31: Chapter:31

"His name is Hiriito, and he's my teammate in the puppet corps," Sasori stated simply.

Ebizo nodded in approval.

He didn't deny the word "friend," meaning he truly acknowledged Hiriito as one.

Seems like I made the right call, Hiriito thought.

Pairing two geniuses of similar age and interest was bound to create a strong bond.

"Well, Hiriito," Ebizo continued, "I saw your report from Ishido Jonin. You're a promising kid."

He smiled.

"You should visit Sasori more often. Come on, you haven't eaten yet, right? Let's go. I'll take you to the best restaurant in the village."

On the third day of his break, Hiriito used his accumulated military merit points to exchange for two ninjutsu training scrolls.

One was a C-rank Wind Release technique, Air Flow Dance.

The other was a C-rank Lightning Release technique, Ground Walk.

This was part of a long-term plan.

Hiriito didn't need to master Air Flow Dance.

He just wanted to study its principles—specifically, whether Wind Release could be used to enhance the compressed air system in his Fat Puppet's pneumatic fists.

His Lightning Release training was also strategic.

He knew that electricity could be generated and stored through chakra, which could help him merge engineering with puppetry in the future.

"If Only I Had Earth Release…"

Hiriito sighed as he studied his chakra affinities.

"My chakra only has Wind and Lightning," he muttered.

"If I had Earth Release, I could have tried to learn the Third Kazekage's Magnet Release… The thought of combining that with my steel puppet armor is almost too good to imagine."

Still, his current elements were powerful enough.

Wind Style could enhance pneumatic devices.

Lightning Style could potentially boost puppet control speed.

"And Fatty…" Hiriito looked at his current puppet.

"He needs another upgrade."

Meanwhile, Hiriito's incarnation in the DC world was hard at work at the abandoned factory of the Cole Gang.

His new knowledge was fueling rapid advancements in his puppet designs.

While his main body trained ninjutsu, his incarnation focused on mechanical development.

Hiriito grabbed a welding gun and carefully placed a new component into Black Gold's eye sockets.

"Double-layered bulletproof lenses…"

He muttered as he connected the microcontroller pins to various sensors.

A DLP chip, no larger than two fingernails, was now fixed in Black Gold's eyes.

Further inside, he had embedded a microcontroller.

The system worked like this:

1. Sensors distributed across Black Gold's body would send signals.

2. A communication chip would process the data.

3. An analog-to-digital converter would transform the signals into readable information.

4. The DLP chip would then convert the data into visual imagery.

5. Finally, the image would be projected onto Black Gold's inner eye display.

Not the most advanced system, Hiriito thought, but it's a good start.

Industrial-grade parts weren't exactly cheap.

If he had only used commercial components, the cost would have been under $200.

But that would have been useless.

Low-quality infrared detectors could only see one meter ahead.

Basic sonar had a range of five meters—barely better than human hearing.

For real efficiency, he needed high-grade military sensors.

But those were illegal for civilians.

Even on Gotham's black market, most were counterfeit or outdated.

Luckily…

Hiriito knew someone who could help.

The Penguin.

If you had the money, Oswald Cobblepot could get anything—even tanks if you asked.

Hiriito chuckled as he installed mid-range thermal sensors.

"Quinn Technologies in Star City can manufacture centimeter-level sensors for underwater detection…"

He sighed.

"If only the Naruto world had an industrial system like this…"

Still, even basic tech upgrades would be a game-changer.

Hiriito turned back to Black Gold.

It was time to enhance mobility.

The old pneumatic system only powered the arms.

Now, he would install:

✔ Double-acting cylinders at the hip joints, knees, and ankles.

✔ Small-scale actuators to increase movement speed.

✔ Adjustable pneumatic pressure to balance power and flexibility.

It wouldn't make Black Gold lightning-fast, but it would be significantly quicker than before.

Next, he reinforced the arms.

✔ New double-acting cylinders for the shoulders and elbows.

✔ Stronger pistons to increase punching speed.

✔ Higher torque for greater striking force.

All of this required precise control.

Fortunately, Hiriito's chakra manipulation had improved significantly.

Even though his incarnation had slightly lower chakra quality, it was still enough to operate the puppet efficiently.

But if I add one more puppet…

Hiriito frowned.

His current limit was two advanced puppets.

Controlling a third would require mastery beyond his current level.

The factory echoed with metal clanging and welding sparks.

Hiriito worked non-stop until it was late at night.

Suddenly—

The door burst open.

His accountant, Dura, ran inside, panting.

"Boss…!"

Hiriito turned around.

"Mr. Cobblepot is here."
