Chapter 337: Chapter 339 : Fifth Hokage Tsunade!!

[Tsunade is the Fifth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village, and also the only female Hokage.]

[Her bold personality hides a deep compassion. When facing Konoha's enemies, she never backs down. And when it comes to traitors within, she shows no mercy.]

[During her time in power, she not only kept Danzo and the entire Root organization in check, forcing Danzo to scheme in secret, but also made the two stubborn advisors—Koharu and Homura—realize who truly rules Konoha.]

[It was this strong and righteous spirit that helped her clean up the bad habits left behind by the Third Hokage, giving Konoha a fresh new start.]

"It's over… Looks like Koharu and Homura can't hold Tsunade back. That 'fresh start' thing? She probably just did that to build up her gambling money. Tobirama, don't you think Tsunade might end up selling Konoha in the end?"

On the glowing screen, the Fifth Hokage Tsunade grabbed Koharu and Homura by the collars without hesitation—pure domination.

Seeing that, Hashirama covered his face and groaned. He figured that Konoha from that timeline was pretty much doomed.

Tobirama looked at Hashirama, annoyed. "This is all your fault. Why did you teach Tsunade how to gamble?"

"I couldn't find anyone to play cards with, okay?"

"With how bad you are at gambling? You lose every time. And because of who you are, no one dares to win your money. Every time they play with you, it's torture. If you still had friends after that, that would be a miracle."

"That's why I trained Tsunade to be my card buddy. What's wrong with that?"

Watching Hashirama get all confident for no reason, Tobirama got so angry he didn't even want to talk anymore.

Meanwhile, the young Tsunade watched the screen, eyes sparkling with admiration. She clenched her fists and secretly swore: To avoid becoming a gambling Hokage, I'll quit gambling starting today!

In the Fifth Hokage's timeline, Tsunade looked at the screen showing her powerful self and the compliments. Grinning, she muttered happily, "Hehe, not bad. This screen really gets me."

That's right. As Hokage, she is the true master of the Hidden Leaf Village.

Fifth Hokage Tsunade: I only pay attention to you because I feel like it. You're just advisors. If I ignore you, you're nothing.

[Tsunade becoming Hokage didn't just affect the next generation of Konoha—it was also a major turning point in her life.]

[When she was young, after graduating from the Ninja Academy, Tsunade became a student of Hiruzen Sarutobi along with Orochimaru and Jiraiya.]

[One was a cold genius, the other a pervy theorist, and under their influence, Tsunade developed a strong and forceful personality.]

[The three of them were also the first to take part in the bell-grabbing test.]

[Before the test, Tsunade made a bet with Jiraiya: "The one who won't get a bell—will be you."]

[In the end, sure enough, Jiraiya was the one tied to the wooden post.]

[It seemed that ever since then, Tsunade's luck in gambling was tied to Jiraiya.]

[Even though she always lost at gambling, as long as it was something related to Jiraiya, she would definitely win.]

"Yeah... as long as it's something to do with that idiot, I always win."

On the light screen, under the glow of the sunset, Jiraiya waved goodbye to Tsunade.

Watching his back as he walked away, she thought—when that pervy guy came back safely, she would confess to him.

But Jiraiya never returned.

He died in the Hidden Rain Village.

"That idiot... why didn't he just run away back then?"

The Fifth Hokage sighed.

From the messenger toad that came later, she learned that Jiraiya actually had a chance to escape.

But once he realized Konoha might face that enemy in the future, he chose to stay behind and gather more intel.

He got the intel.

But he stayed there forever.

"Am I really not meant to love someone?"

At this moment, Tsunade once again started to doubt herself.

[Under the guidance of Hiruzen Sarutobi, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru became exceptional ninja.]

[During the Second Great Ninja War, they fought against Hanzo of the Salamander, who was known as the strongest in the ninja world.]

[Many Konoha ninja fell to Hanzo's deadly poison, leaving only Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya standing.]

[Their unwavering will moved Hanzo. Out of respect for talent, he spared them and gave them the title "The Legendary Sannin of Konoha."]

"Respect for talent? Maybe a little. But I think the main reason Hanzo let us go was because we were Konoha shinobi."

In the era of the Third Hokage, Jiraiya believed that if the three of them had been from any other village, Hanzo might not have let them live.

They were ninja from the strongest village in the world — Konoha. And their teacher was none other than the Third Hokage!

At that time, Amegakure was already on the losing side of the war.

If Hanzo had killed the three of them and provoked a young and ambitious Hiruzen, no one knows how many people in Amegakure would have died afterward.

For the sake of his village, Hanzo had no choice but to pretend he admired their talent and put on a show of mercy.

This was the right decision — the kind a real leader makes after weighing the pros and cons.

"At that time, we were still rookies, and Hanzo already had the title of 'Demi-God.' The fact that we lasted until the end meant we didn't bring shame to Konoha."

"But looking at it now, that whole 'Demi-God' title of Hanzo feels kind of overrated."

The revived Orochimaru agreed with what Jiraiya and Tsunade said, but he also thought Hanzo didn't quite live up to the hype.

Think about it — who was the last ninja to be called a god?

That was none other than Hashirama Senju.

The God of Shinobi who was unmatched across the entire ninja world.

Although Hanzō was called a demigod, his strength wasn't even half of the First Hokage's.

Hanzō's real power mainly came from the poison of his summoned beast.

Even he couldn't fully resist the toxin, so others had no chance.

Without that summon, Hanzō would've just been an average Kage-level ninja—probably the weakest tier.

"Forget it, let's not talk about Hanzō anymore. His era is long gone."

After saying that, Jiraiya turned to Tsunade and seriously asked again, "Tsunade, are you really not going to consider becoming Hokage? From what we saw on the screen, you actually looked like you were doing a decent job."

"I'm not becoming Hokage. Don't think I don't know what you're up to. You just want to dump the job on me so you can have more time to peek at the women's bathhouse!"

"Uh…" Jiraiya muttered weakly, "I call it research, not peeking."

"Pfft~ Do you think I'm stupid?"

"Alright, alright… if you won't do it, then forget it."

Jiraiya rubbed his forehead and sighed. Then he said, "I really want to know who the Sixth Hokage is… That way I can officially hand the position over."

Hearing that, Kakashi, who was standing in the back, suddenly felt a chill run down his spine and shivered for no reason.
