Chapter 7 - New Trash
Chapter 7: New Trash
Silent Hot Springs—an incredible surprise stirred within Ruofeng’s heart.
His eyebrows twitched, a sure sign that new trash had appeared in the Three Thousand Refuse Stations.
How is this possible? Ruofeng thought. I just entered the Three Thousand Garbage Station not too long ago and harvested garbage from the Tomb Raider’s Note World. The harvest was not much, but it was still quite good. How is it that waste has appeared again—twice in one day? This is simply unheard of. Could it be due to the appearance of chakra in my body?
If his guess was correct, then as he continued to grow stronger, the frequency and quality of garbage appearing in the Three Thousand Refuse Stations would also increase. The mere thought of it made Ruofeng smirk. If he could understand more of the station’s principles, then he could obtain valuable refuse from other worlds as soon as possible, enhancing himself continuously!
Suddenly, Tsunade withdrew her chakra and pinched Ruofeng’s cheeks. “This is the chakra extraction method of the Senju Zan, one of the best in Kiba Village. Cultivate it well, and when you turn six, you will enter the ninja academy. And since you are the young master of this hot spring, remember to give me a free pass. I remember Jiraiya had one. It is nice to soak in the hot springs, huh…”
Tsunade smiled as she slowly stood up. Her flawless figure appeared before Ruofeng’s eyes, though she did not seem to mind his gaze. Or rather, Tsunade did not care about the gaze of a five-year-old at all. After putting on the clothes prepared by the maid, she left without another word.
“From today onward, Tsunade will have free access to all hot springs in Kiba Village,” Ruofeng declared. “And in the casinos under our banner, she will have unlimited loan rights.”
Upon hearing these words, the maid hurriedly nodded. “Yes, young master!”
Ruofeng narrowed his eyes, feeling the lingering chakra within his body. He muttered, “What a marvelous energy… Born from the Divine Tree, yet retained within the body. Chakra… The first step to becoming a ninja.”
With that, Ruofeng stood up and walked out of the pool.
Night fell.
Upon returning to his courtyard, Ruofeng saw a maid approach him. “Young Master, your father is waiting for you in the hall. It seems to be about Lord Jiraiya.”
Ruofeng nodded and made his way to the central hall.
The hall had an ancient design, reminiscent of the Warring States period. When Ruofeng stepped inside, his gaze immediately landed on two people—his grandfather and a familiar figure.
“Uncle Jiraiya?” Ruofeng asked. “Should you not be in the hospital?”
Jiraiya was lying on a couch, his body wrapped in bandages, resembling a mummy.
His grandfather spoke first. “Jiraiya was gravely injured. He needed rest and proper care, and there was no one to look after him in the hospital. So, he was sent to our home. Since you wish to become a ninja, you may seek his guidance. After all, Jiraiya is an elite ninja and a disciple of Lord Hiruzen.”
Ruofeng studied Jiraiya’s youthful face—it was far from the older, more rugged Jiraiya he knew from later generations.
Jiraiya let out a bitter smile. “I did not expect the little one to have grown so much already. Looking at you now, your physical fitness is on par with an eight or nine-year-old child. The medicinal baths are effective, and you train hard. But remember, being a ninja is not as glamorous as it seems.”
His expression turned serious as he continued, “Your grandfather wants you to inherit the family business, not become a ninja. A ninja’s status may seem high, but we constantly walk the edge of life and death. One misstep, and you die.”
Ruofeng sat down casually. “I am still young. It is too early to discuss such matters. But Uncle Jiraiya, Sister Tsunade feels bad about today. She will not apologize, though. Instead, she asked me to get the Senju Zan’s chakra extraction method from you as compensation.”
Jiraiya’s expression turned sour. “Tsunade is as capricious as ever. If not for those precious herbs today, I would still be in a coma. The only reason I can speak now is thanks to some secret medicines from Mount Myōboku. Ah… Let us not dwell on it. Since I am giving it to you, practice it well.”
Jiraiya’s tone became solemn. “My chakra extraction method is not suited for ordinary people. If you form a contract with the Mount Myōboku toads, you will have the qualifications to train with it. However, you must pass a test to be recognized by the Toad Zan. You are far too young for that now, but when you grow up, I will give you a chance to form the contract.”
Contracting a powerful Summon Beast Zan was no trivial matter, especially in the Naruto world. Few could compare to the strength of the Toad Zan.
“Then I thank you, Uncle Jiraiya,” Ruofeng said, standing up. “I will take my leave now.”
Ignoring his grandfather’s somewhat worried gaze, Ruofeng turned and left the hall.
Upon returning to his room, Ruofeng murmured to himself, “The relationship between Grandpa and Jiraiya is not as simple as I had assumed. I thought Jiraiya was merely repaying a past debt for financial support. But if he is willing to offer the contract for Mount Myōboku… then it is more than just a favor.”
Just then, he felt a strange sensation from his brow.
“Perfect timing… Let’s visit the Three Thousand Refuse Stations. Hopefully, some precious trash has appeared!”
The words barely left his lips before he entered the silent space.
Upon arrival, he noticed that the morning’s garbage remained, not having disappeared. In truth, if Ruofeng found something useful, he had no idea where to discard the useless items. Throwing them within Kiba Village could cause unnecessary trouble. Fortunately, the Three Thousand Refuse Stations had an automatic decomposition function—but the process was far too slow.
However, with its vast storage space, a small pile of trash did not matter much.
At that moment, Ruofeng focused his mind. “Come forth!”
A ripple spread through space, followed by a loud crash.
Boom… Boom…
A massive pile of trash appeared, instantly falling into the silent void.
Ruofeng narrowed his eyes. “This is not Earth’s garbage.”
His heart filled with anticipation as he noticed a massive boar. Its forehead had been pierced through, and it had long since died. Its fiery-red body flickered like a burning flame, and its beast-like size was unnatural.
“This creature… It is not from Earth!”
