Naruto: Wooing Tsunade from Day One!

Chapter 221: Chapter 221: Yuki Clan

A single spring night can feel like a lifetime of passion. Last night, Kawakaze was unstoppable, leaving Tsunade utterly breathless and fulfilled.

The next morning, Tsunade woke up leisurely in Kawakaze's arms. He was still fast asleep, snoring softly like a pig.

"If you're so capable, why not go crazy again?" Tsunade chuckled as she glanced at Kawakaze's tired face.

After watching him quietly for a while and seeing no signs of him waking up, she slowly got up. She changed into fresh clothes, opened the closet, and took out Kawakaze's clothes, neatly folding and putting them away. At that moment, Tsunade truly embodied the essence of a virtuous wife.

After tidying up, she quietly opened the door and slipped out of the room.

When she arrived at the dining room, Sakumo and the others were already having breakfast.

"Big Brother, Big Sister-in-law," Tsunade greeted them and sat down beside Nayuki.

"Sensei's wife," the younger ones, including Minato, who had no missions, greeted her respectfully while lounging at home.

"Kawakaze hasn't woken up yet?" Sakumo asked with a smile, still holding a fried dough stick in his hand.

"No." Tsunade blushed slightly at the question.

"You care about him so much—why not bring him breakfast?"

"Let's eat," Nayuki interrupted, feeding Kakashi a bite and throwing Sakumo a sharp glare.

Sakumo laughed awkwardly. "Haha, I was just asking casually."

He thought for a moment and realized he'd been meddling. It wasn't surprising Kawakaze hadn't woken up yet—he was far more laid back than Sakumo himself.

"Minato, are you getting used to the Anbu these days?" Tsunade shifted the conversation quickly to steer it away from any lingering awkwardness.

"It's okay, we've gone on a few missions. Minato swallowed the food in his mouth and spoke slowly.

"They're good, and the missions were completed beautifully." As Anbu Commander, Sakumo knew all about their missions.

"That's good. Do well." She nodded. "The next generation depends on you."

Tsunade, who had high hopes for the group, gave them an encouraging look. Their generation had produced many talented individuals who shone during the Second Shinobi World War. Currently, Minato and Nawaki were the only ones in the next generation who stood out. Yahiko and the others still needed time to grow, but Kawakaze seemed to have other plans for them.

Tsunade didn't ask in detail, and she wasn't entirely sure about his intentions.

"We will definitely live up to your expectations," Minato promised solemnly. Even if it wasn't for the village, he would do his best to repay the kindness of his Sensei.

Kawakaze had given him a family again and a life others envied. He was very satisfied with his current life, just waiting to grow up and marry Kushina.

"We will work hard," the three of them chimed in. They knew they still had a long way to go, so they didn't dare make bold statements.

"You are all good children, and I will leave Kakashi in your care," Nayuki teased with a smile.

"That goes without saying." Minato casually picked up where Nayuki had left off. He liked Kakashi very much as well.

"By the way, Sakumo, there's something I need to tell you." Suddenly, Tsunade seemed to remember something.

"What is it?" Sakumo, noticing her serious expression, guessed it was business.

"I received a secret report from the Land of Water the other day," she began. "The Yuki Clan is being besieged by Kirigakure. They want to seek help from our Konoha."

"I've been too busy these past few days to deal with it. I want to hear your opinion." After finishing, Tsunade took a sip of milk and waited for Sakumo's response.

"Yuki Clan?"

"Isn't that the clan with the Ice Release Kekkei Genkai?"

Sakumo frowned. He had rarely been on missions to the Land of Water in recent years and wasn't well-informed about the situation there.

"Yes," Tsunade confirmed. "I don't know what the Third Mizukage is thinking. Clans with Kekkei Genkai are popular wherever they go. He would have killed them all if he could. If the Kaguya Clan wasn't so powerful, I'm afraid they would have been targeted as well."

Tsunade couldn't understand the Third Mizukage's actions and felt the need to vent her frustrations to Sakumo. She would never say such things to anyone else.

"Regardless of the Third Mizukage, I heard that Ice Release is very powerful," Sakumo remarked. "The Yuki Clan is suggesting relocating to our village, Konoha?"

If they were helping the clan escape Kirigakure's pursuit, Konoha would receive a commission. However, in Sakumo's opinion, it wasn't worth getting involved. Offending Kirigakure for a small amount of money seemed unwise.

"Yes, that's what they mean," Tsunade explained. "As long as they are rescued from the Land of Water, they are willing to join Konoha."

"That's kind of interesting," Sakumo mused, rubbing his chin as he fell into deep thought.

The table grew silent, with only Kakashi occasionally popping in a few words.

After a while, Sakumo slowly spoke.

"It seems that they are also at their wits' end. But we're definitely not the only ones to have received the tip-off. Sunagakure doesn't have the energy to take them in, and Iwagakure is too far away. Kumogakure, on the other hand, loves ninja with Kekkei Genkai."

Sakumo quickly analyzed the situation, and the facts were more or less as he expected. The Yuki Clan had suffered heavy casualties under Kirigakure's full-scale attack. The remaining clan members had been gathered by their Clan Head and were surviving in some dark corner.

In an effort to increase their chances of survival, the Clan Head had sent messages to the other four major countries, offering their allegiance to whichever country rescued them. According to the original story, they ultimately failed. In the end, only a small number of clan members managed to hide their identities and blend into the civilian population.

Hiruzen Sarutobi had been hesitant to get involved, but Tsunade was not.

"The people of Kumogakure are too busy with the Jinchūriki to bother with them," she said.

Konoha's sources in Kumogakure had not been cut off, and Tsunade knew that A had recently finalized the selection of the Eight-Tails' Jinchūriki. She had heard it was a very young child, though specific details like a name or portrait were tightly guarded.

As for the Jinchūriki of the Two-Tails, he was already teetering on the brink of death. It could be said that Kumogakure was currently in no mood to concern itself with others' affairs.

"Then our Konoha is the last straw for the Yuki Clan."

Sakumo, though lacking as much information as Tsunade, had a flash of light in his eyes upon hearing this. Business with no competition would be easy to handle.

"So let's give it a try? If it's not possible, there won't be much loss if we retreat in time."

Tsunade could tell that Sakumo was already very tempted. In truth, she herself was even more tempted. Konoha's two major Kekkei Genkai Clans possessed Dōjutsu, while Wood Release had already been lost. Though there were secret techniques like those from the Nara Clan, they were still inferior to Kekkei Genkai.

Adding an Ice Release Clan would be a great boon, further enhancing Konoha's strength. It was widely accepted in the ninja world that ninjas with Kekkei Genkai grew up faster and were significantly more powerful in combat. Furthermore, Tsunade had heard much about the strength of Ice Release. It excelled in both offense and defense, making it outstanding.

"Okay, the Anbu will accept this mission."

Hearing Tsunade's words, Sakumo immediately took the mission.

"Then I'll leave it to you. I'll have someone send you all the information later."

A mission that could be considered top secret was finalized in the short time it took the two of them to eat. Minato and the three kids saw nothing unusual about this, while Nayuki, who was busy teasing Kakashi, showed no interest in their conversation.
