Chapter 264: Despair! The Power of a God!
Haneda wasted no time, piercing the cloud ninja before him with the bone blade that grew from his palm, ending the man's life in an instant.
Suddenly, a streak of lightning flashed, striking toward Haneda.
With the activation of his Mangekyō Sharingan, Haneda manifested the first stage of Susanoo, effortlessly blocking the attack. The force of the lightning, however, propelled him backward into the distance.
"Stop underestimating me!"
The voice boomed with rage—it was none other than the Fourth Raikage. From the moment Haneda descended onto the battlefield, the Raikage had activated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode and rushed to confront him.
But in the mere one to two minutes it took for the Raikage to arrive, Haneda had already slaughtered over a hundred cloud ninja.
Eyes red with fury, the Raikage glared at Haneda, who calmly dusted off his cloak as if nothing had happened.
"You were the ones to escalate by using jutsu," Haneda said coldly. "Don't blame me for what happens next."
Forming hand seals, Haneda took a deep breath and released a sea of flames that surged toward the Raikage's position like a tidal wave.
"Fire Release: Majestic Destroyer Flame!"
The Raikage's eyes widened in shock as he barked out an order:
"The scale of this jutsu is massive! Water Release unit, counter it now!"
"Water Release: Water Formation Wall!"
A unit of over a hundred water-release specialists responded in unison, combining their jutsu into a unified defense. The flames clashed against the wall of water, creating an immense plume of steam that obscured the battlefield in thick mist.
The snow-covered plain turned into a foggy labyrinth, visibility reduced to nothing.
Out of the dense mist, the sound of chirping birds pierced the silence.
The unmistakable cry of Chidori echoed across the battlefield as Haneda charged, his blade infused with golden lightning, a divine hue unlike any ordinary bolt of electricity.
"Single Sword Style: Flowing Water—Azure Dragon Seal!"
The golden lightning from Haneda's blade spread across a hundred-meter radius, paralyzing the cloud ninja caught within its flow.
Before they could recover, a massive azure dragon burst forth from Haneda's blade, engulfing the battlefield and obliterating everything in its path.
As the dragon dissipated, the ground was littered with the lifeless bodies of countless cloud ninja.
The Fourth Raikage's fury boiled over as he surveyed the carnage. These were his comrades, his men, slain in an instant.
"Uchiha Haneda! I will make sure you die without a grave to be buried in!"
With a roar, the Raikage surged forward, pouring all his strength into a single, devastating attack.
Haneda calmly activated the first stage of Susanoo, effortlessly intercepting the Raikage's punch.
"Is this the extent of your strength?" Haneda said dismissively, leaping backward onto a nearby stone pillar. His arms crossed over his chest as his black hair billowed in the icy wind.
"You're weak. So weak that I don't even feel the thrill of battle."
Haneda's crimson Sharingan glowed ominously as he issued an ultimatum:
"Cloud Village, you have two choices—surrender, or face annihilation."
"Arrogant brat!" the Raikage spat, noticing Killer Bee and Yugito approaching the battlefield.
"Bee! It's time to show this fool the strength of our bond!"
"Okay, big bro!" Killer Bee replied, entering his partial-tailed beast state. The sinister red chakra of the Eight Tails enveloped him like an armor of pure malice.
With Killer Bee in front and the Raikage behind, they positioned themselves to strike Haneda from both sides.
"Lightning Release: Double Lariat!"
The two brothers poured all their chakra into this attack. Their combined speed and power had crushed countless opponents in the past, and no one had ever survived their combined assault.
Even among the legends of the past, only the Fourth Hokage had been fast enough to avoid the Double Lariat.
Confidence surged through the ranks of the cloud ninja as they watched their leaders unleash this devastating technique.
"Even Susanoo can't withstand this!" they thought.
But as the attack closed in, Haneda casually tossed a kunai.
In the fraction of a second before the Lariat could connect, Haneda vanished with the Flying Thunder God Technique, leaving nothing but air where he had stood.
"I just wanted to prove that your so-called speed... is too slow," Haneda said from behind them, his voice dripping with disdain.
Before the Raikage could react, Haneda reappeared directly in front of him, using Susanoo to effortlessly block his punch.
Another flicker, and Haneda was standing before Killer Bee, his blade aimed at the jinchūriki's neck.
"That's... that's the Yellow Flash's Flying Thunder God!" the Raikage exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief.
Haneda returned to his perch atop the stone pillar, his expression as calm as ever.
"Despair," he said coldly. "You will lose, just as you always have. You are powerless before me."
The Raikage clenched his fists in frustration, his anger boiling over.
"Don't get cocky, Uchiha Haneda! We still have twelve thousand ninja! No matter how strong you are, you'll run out of chakra eventually!"
Haneda chuckled, a sound filled with mockery.
"I could easily use Flying Thunder God to raid your village and destroy your supply lines. But I won't stoop to such tactics."
"Instead," Haneda said, his hands forming a series of seals, "I'll show you the power of the First Hokage—the true God of Shinobi."
"Wood Release: Deep Forest Emergence!"
With a deafening roar, massive trees erupted from the snow-covered battlefield, their roots intertwining and stretching for hundreds of meters.
The massive forest engulfed nearly a quarter of the cloud army, its towering branches casting ominous shadows over the stunned ninja.
Giant crimson flowers bloomed from the treetops, releasing a pink mist that blanketed the battlefield. The sweet fragrance of the pollen was deceptive—within moments, the majority of the cloud ninja collapsed unconscious.
Only the Raikage, Killer Bee, and Yugito remained standing, their chakra protecting them from the effects of the pollen.
The tailed beasts within the jinchūriki spoke urgently:
"Haneda's chakra is running low! Finish him now!"
The Raikage sneered, his confidence returning.
"Out of chakra, are you? Without it, not even your Flying Thunder God or your Sharingan can save you!"
"Uchiha Haneda! Against one Raikage, two perfect jinchūriki, and twelve thousand ninja—you will fall!"
Haneda smirked. "Who said I'm out of chakra?"
With a wave of his hand, Haneda activated the Yang Seal. A torrent of golden energy erupted around him, the pure and overwhelming chakra of the Dragon Vein coursing through his body.
It wasn't just a replenishment—it was an amplification, pushing his power beyond its limits.
The battlefield fell silent as the cloud ninja stared in horror.
"Impossible..." the Raikage muttered, his voice trembling.
Haneda raised his hand, and the earth shook as a golden Buddha statue, hundreds of meters tall, emerged from the ground.
The massive statue wore a golden Susanoo like a ceremonial robe, its divine presence radiating over the battlefield.
Standing atop the statue, Haneda looked down at the cloud forces, his voice calm yet filled with authority.
"Despair," he said once more. "This is the power of Uchiha Haneda. The power... of a god."
Below, the weapons in the hands of twelve thousand cloud ninja slipped from their grasps, clattering uselessly to the ground.
Faced with the overwhelming presence of the golden Buddha and the invincible Susanoo, the will to fight left them.
For the first time, the entire cloud army knew fear.
