Kaito scanned the endless void around him, his expression darkening.

He had forcibly fused with the Ten Tails' chakra, risked everything to reach the Six Paths level—and yet, here he was, stranded in a place that seemed to exist outside reality itself.

Nothingness surrounded him. No landmarks, no chakra signatures, not even time seemed to flow normally. The only thing he was certain of he was no longer in the Shinobi World.

No matter how hard he tried to sense or move, the space remained inert and unchanging.

With no other option, he called out: "System, where am I?"

Kaito let out a frustrated breath, his brow still furrowed.

"Then why can't I sense any space-time fluctuations?"

The explanation hit harder than expected. His senses were dulled crippled even. And yet, strangely… his body didn't feel broken. There was no pain, no fatigue, only emptiness.

He lowered his hand, the glow fading.

Kaito shook his head with a faint sigh. Looks like he'd have to put off the reincarnation experiment for now.

Glancing around at the strange, void-like space, he muttered, "Five years trapped here… I can endure that. But what's the point if I can't even train properly?"

Lifting his voice, he called out, "System, is there any way to get me out of this place?"

A ripple of spatial energy split through the rift undeniably from the Shinobi World.

Without hesitation, Kaito activated Shinrin and vanished.

"Where... am I?"

Though it was pitch dark, Kaito could tell he had landed in a forest. The scent of the air, the rustle of leaves, even the pressure of chakra, it all resembled the Shinobi World... but something was wrong.

Looking up, he froze.

There was no moon.

The sky was unfamiliar. Stars glittered like they always had, but not in the same patterns he remembered.

Despite having locked onto the Shinobi World's spatial signature… this wasn't the world he knew.

Then, without warning, his expression shifted. From the west, a massive surge of energy. A brilliant streak tore across the horizon.

Two chakra signatures.

One of them was unmistakably Ōtsutsuki Isshiki.

Kaito's jaw tightened.

Kaito nodded to himself and cut off the system interface.

"Time to see where those two fell."

In an instant, he vanished toward the western horizon.

Just as Kaito reappeared, a shout rang out in the distance.

"Look! A woman!"

He turned. Ahead of him stood a group of soldiers clad in ancient garb, spears in hand, pointing toward the forest.

They hadn't noticed him yet. But she had.

Glowing faintly with ethereal blue light, a solitary woman emerged from the trees. Her presence was unmistakable.
