Chapter 84: 《Naruto: The Ōtsutsuki Bloodline》Chapter 84: How About Getting a Membership Card for the Hospital? (Part 2)
Under the Moonlit Sky, Land of Earth Border
A large group of Iwa-nin searched through the collapsed ridges, while Ōnoki sat on a pile of rubble, his expression sour.
Reflecting on the events of the day, his mood was far from ordinary frustration.
"A group of powerful shinobi, gathering on my turf?"
Such a thing was intolerable, especially since he had witnessed something that shook him to the core.
"The Flying Thunder God Technique?"
Ōnoki admitted to being overly emotional at the time. Minato Namikaze was long dead, yet the flickering figure and the shattered puppets brought back painful memories.
"Tsuchikage-sama, we've gathered most of the information."
As Ōnoki pondered, an Anbu approached him, kneeling on one knee and speaking in a low voice.
Even the Anbu seemed uneasy, knowing how furious Ōnoki was. Among the entire Iwagakure, perhaps only Deidara wouldn't fear him.
"Speak."
Ōnoki's calm demeanor was chilling. His words were concise, prompting the Anbu to respond immediately.
"According to the sensor ninja's report, the chakra signatures here are chaotic, but there are eight distinct ones.
One of them fought with you, while the other six were engaged in combat with each other."
"Six people..."
Ōnoki nodded. When he had arrived earlier, he had indeed seen three pairs of fighters battling in the sky.
Three of them had white hair, while the other three wore black cloaks.
"Do we know who they are? Can we track them?"
"Tsuchikage-sama, not yet. This is..."
The Anbu hesitated, clearly struggling to explain. Ōnoki understood what he meant.
This was the border, where stationed ninja were already sparse.
Even the Anbu here were for emergency purposes, so they likely didn't have records of many high-level chakra signatures.
"Anything else about the chakra from the six combatants?"
The Anbu continued, though his words faltered as he tried to find the right way to describe it.
"The chakra levels were all extremely strong, especially four of them—they were particularly terrifying.
As for the one who fought with you..."
The Anbu trailed off, seemingly unsure how to articulate his thoughts, while Ōnoki's expression grew darker.
Ōnoki knew there were many powerful figures in the shinobi world, but for so many to suddenly appear and cause chaos in his village—was this an insult or something else?
"Anything else?"
Suppressing his anger, Ōnoki asked in a low voice.
"Puppets and Lightning Release, and of course the Flying Thunder God Technique—I saw those myself.
I need more detailed information!"
"Aside from what you mentioned, we detected traces of Water Release and Fire Release during the battle."
The Anbu was visibly tense. Despite Ōnoki's small stature, his presence was overwhelming.
"As for anything else, we haven't been able to determine yet."
"Fine, I understand."
Ōnoki stood up, his frustration evident. Even without detailed information, he could deduce some things.
"Has Konoha returned to its glory from ten years ago?"
Thinking about the flickering figure, Ōnoki couldn't imagine any technique replacing the Flying Thunder God.
He began to ponder how to approach Konoha for a "discussion" about this matter.
He also planned to interrogate Deidara, as the brat seemed to have been in the vicinity all along.
"Where's Deidara? Have you found him?"
"Tsuchikage-sama, Deidara..."
"What about him?"
"He seems to have left."
"Where did he go?"
The Anbu hesitated, pointing in a direction that immediately raised Ōnoki's blood pressure.
That direction wasn't within the Land of Earth...
Meanwhile, in the Land of Rain
Pain observed the battered Kisame, Itachi, and the nearly dismantled Sasori. Without saying anything, he shook his head.
The three looked truly miserable. Kisame was perhaps in better shape—his muscular frame covered in scars, with his clothes completely gone.
At least he could still stand.
Itachi, however, appeared dazed, his eyes unfocused and his body riddled with wounds. Most concerning was the bloodstain at the corner of his eye, indicating he had overused his vision.
As for Sasori...
Only his upper body remained, with half an arm missing. That he was still alive was a testament to his resilience.
"Tsk tsk, didn't expect you to suffer such a loss against a brat."
Kakuzu, ever blunt, couldn't resist mocking Sasori, recalling the latter's previous taunts.
"And I remember giving you intel. Seems you're regressing with age."
"The intel you provided wasn't entirely accurate."
Sasori raised his head, his tone emotionless, though his eyes were icy cold.
"He has a unique state where his strength and speed are significantly enhanced.
It's not the Lightning Release Chakra Mode you mentioned. His Purple Electricity was primarily used to counter my poison, not to enhance himself.
A small error in intel can lead to serious consequences."
"Excuses, excuses."
Kakuzu sneered, but Sasori wasn't fazed.
"Is that so? You didn't even manage to push him to his limits, did you?"
"Hmph, next time, I'll win."
With Pain present, Kakuzu refrained from escalating the argument, though he couldn't resist throwing in a parting jab.
Still, he was troubled. He didn't know what Kitagawa Minamoto had done to improve himself, but it was clear the boy had grown stronger.
Sasori's capabilities were well-known, yet Minamoto had left him in shambles.
Though Sasori's current state was largely due to Ōnoki's Dust Release and Pain's own attacks, Minamoto's skill was undeniable.
"But that Flying Thunder God Technique—truly terrifying..."
Recalling the countless kunai flying toward him, Kakuzu shuddered.
Even knowing some were decoys, who would dare ignore any of them?
If even one landed near him, it could spell disaster.
"I need to acquire a high-quality Wind Release heart. I can't let him get close so easily next time!"
"Must find suitable materials for Wind Release. I have to be prepared!"
Both Kakuzu and Sasori resolved to strengthen their defenses against Minamoto.
"Tch, these guys are so boring. But wait, is this guy immortal too?"
Hidan couldn't understand the argument and didn't care to. He was more intrigued by Sasori, noting the organization seemed to have quite a few "immortals."
"Enough, all of you shut up. The mission failed, and Deidara is missing.
I hope none of you leaked any information."
Pain interrupted, his tone cold. He had no patience for their bickering, especially since he was already irritated.
Elsewhere, in a Sealed Carriage
Nagato sat weakly, listening to Konan's voice from outside.
"Nagato, Jiraiya-sensei might have spotted us."
"I know. But don't worry—it was only for a moment."
"Even if something was discovered, it doesn't matter.
We're walking a righteous path..."
Back at the Stone Forest, Land of Earth Border
"Sensei, maybe you should get a membership card for the hospital.
A yearly one, at that."
"..."
Kitagawa Minamoto supported the exhausted Kakashi, teasing him softly.
"You end up there after every mission anyway."
Kakashi rolled his eyes. If he weren't so drained, he might have smacked Minamoto on the head.
But thinking about it, Minamoto had a point. He did seem to visit the hospital after every mission.
Well, except for that time in Kirigakure...
"Still, the odds are too high..."
Kakashi sighed, muttering to himself.
"This time, I finally used this eye in a real battle.
The results were good, but the side effects are intense.
Still, I'm starting to understand how to use it better."
Looking ahead, Kakashi's resolve deepened.
The more he understood this eye, the better he could confront Obito Uchiha.
This Sharingan was a symbol of bonds and faith—a tool to redeem Obito's name.
"Jiraiya-sama, how are you?"
Not wanting to dwell on his own condition, Kakashi turned to the silent Jiraiya.
"You've seemed a bit..."
"Sigh, I've encountered some unbelievable things."
Jiraiya hesitated before finally speaking, his tone heavy.
"My old master once told me that during the Fourth Mizukage's control, he saw two people besides Obito Uchiha—one with orange hair and one with blue hair."
"And just now, I think I saw someone with orange hair.
He blocked Ōnoki's attack."
Minamoto chimed in, his mind racing with possibilities.
