Naruto: The Ōtsutsuki Bloodline Development Manual

Chapter 55: 《Naruto: The Ōtsutsuki Bloodline》Chapter 58: Minamoto-shiki or Minamoto-shin?

"We're here. Go home and get some rest."

Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo were locked in a silent standoff. Sometimes, silence could be more deafening than words. Meanwhile, on the other side, Kakashi had already escorted Kitagawa Minamoto back home.

"Alright, alright."

Minamoto shrugged, a faint smile on his face as he asked, "But Kakashi-sensei, I'm fine. Why did you personally bring me back?"

"Because I care about you."

Kakashi squinted his eyes slightly, patting Minamoto on the shoulder with a smile.

"Alright, get some rest. After all, you used the Flying Thunder God Technique so many times while carrying others. Even an adult would be exhausted."

But I really don't feel tired at all...

Minamoto pursed his lips. Even though his mastery of the technique wasn't extensive, the innate spatial abilities of the Ōtsutsuki Clan made it feel natural to him.

He had been pondering a question during the journey.

"Are the Flying Thunder God seals interconnected? Why can I sense and even use the marks left by the Second and Fourth Hokage?"

Minamoto couldn't figure it out. He knew he needed to deepen his understanding, but there was no rush—he could take his time.

"Oh, and don't be late tonight."

Kakashi pulled out his copy of Make-Out Paradise, preparing to leave, but not before reminding Minamoto.

"If you want to bring someone along, feel free. Last time, it was Jiraiya-sama's treat. Tonight, it's my turn."

"Don't worry, Kakashi-sensei. I won't be late," Minamoto said with a wink.

"And I promise I won't be late for a date or a rescue mission either."

"..."

Kakashi rolled his eyes, tapping Minamoto on the head with his book before walking off, head lowered as he immersed himself in reading.

"Looks like he's really okay now."

Minamoto rubbed his head, knowing his earlier comment might have been a bit out of line. But he had wanted to test Kakashi's attitude.

Judging by the reaction, Kakashi seemed to have moved on. Joking about it now was no longer a sensitive matter.

"But just this once. I won't do it again."

Watching Kakashi leave, Minamoto leaped onto the rooftop. Instead of heading home, he made his way to Naruto's place.

Unfortunately, Naruto wasn't there—probably at school.

So, Minamoto climbed in through the window, left a note on Naruto's desk, and then turned to leave.

Returning to his own room through the window, he immediately closed and locked the door and windows.

"Alright, time to test my rewards."

The Ōtsutsuki bloodline treated all forms of energy equally, assimilating them into what it needed.

This had been the case with Obito Uchiha's Chakra previously. Now, Minamoto was most curious about the Tailed Beast Chakra.

He wasn't entirely sure what changes this type of Chakra would bring.

"But the System didn't give me much..."

Considering the massive size of the Three-Tails, the amount of Chakra granted by the System wasn't particularly impressive—about the equivalent of One Kakashi Unit.

However, Minamoto remembered that Tailed Beast Chakra had the potential for self-evolution.

In a temple somewhere in the Land of Fire, there was a boy about Naruto's age who carried Nine-Tails Chakra within him.

That boy's Chakra was steadily growing, seemingly evolving toward becoming the Nine-Tails itself.

"Still, the Nine-Tails' consciousness is unique, entirely residing with Naruto and Minato Namikaze. The rest are just beasts."

Shaking his head, Minamoto stopped overthinking. He created a shadow clone to remain in place while his true body disappeared in an instant.

After several teleportations, he finally arrived outside the borders of Konohagakure. He didn't dare experiment with Tailed Beast Chakra within the village, given its dangerous nature.

"Alright, let's begin!"

Buzz!

Almost immediately, he felt a surge of power erupt within him.

The energy coursed through his entire body, making his blood boil once more!

Accompanying this surge, he felt his muscles begin to tremble.

"Is this the effect of White Zetsu's Special Yang Chakra?"

Minamoto focused on the sensations. There was no pain, just an overwhelming heat.

He knew this was caused by the sudden activation of his bloodline. Another factor was at play here...

"The Chakra of the Three-Tails..."

The Three-Tails' Chakra began to flow into his body, interacting with his own Chakra.

This Chakra didn't just affect his body—it also surged into his eyes!

"Is this... the power of the fruit starting to react?"

To the Ōtsutsuki Clan, Tailed Beasts were essentially fragments of the Divine Tree.

Absorbing the fruit's power was, in essence, harnessing the strength of the Tailed Beasts.

So it wasn't surprising that this energy affected his eyes.

As the Chakra continued to flow, Minamoto felt the reaction in his eyes intensify.

Suddenly, he felt the power in his eyes explode, transforming along with the surging bloodline within him.

"This is..."

At that moment, Minamoto felt weightless. A soothing coolness replaced the earlier heat, as immense power gathered within him.

His eyes had clearly undergone some changes. He could see farther, more clearly, and even...

"I think I can see predictive trajectories?"

Raising his head, he watched birds flying across the sky and murmured to himself.

This newfound clarity and precision left him momentarily dazed. He felt as though he had never truly "seen" the world until now.

Most intriguingly...

"That direction?"

Shifting his gaze from the birds, he focused on a specific spot in the clouds.

For some reason, he had a vague sense that something extraordinary was hidden in that direction.

"Could it be the Tenseigan?"

Minamoto speculated, but after a moment of observation, he shook his head.

It was too vague.

While he couldn't pinpoint anything specific, he was certain of one thing:

As his bloodline continued to evolve, he would eventually be able to locate that "big eye."

And when that time came, perhaps he could finally enact his long-cherished dream of "beating up the disabled."

"Everything is still in its early stages, but at least I have a direction now."

Muttering to himself, Minamoto decided to inspect his eyes. However, as he pulled out a kunai to use its reflection, he froze.

"Wait, why am I so pale?"

Staring at his hand, Minamoto's expression changed dramatically. He knew the Ōtsutsuki transformation involved turning pale, but he hadn't expected it to happen so quickly!

He immediately opened his Status Panel to check.

[Name: Kitagawa Minamoto]

[Age: 13]

[Bloodline: Ōtsutsuki Clan (Development: 20%)]

[Chakra Capacity: SS (Kage-level)]

"Development reached 20%?"

Minamoto was momentarily dazed. He remembered being at just 13% before.

Even with the Yang Chakra from White Zetsu, he hadn't expected such a significant leap—perhaps 2-3% at most.

But the Three-Tails' Chakra had pushed him to this extent?

"Was it the combination with my eyes, or just the Chakra itself?"

Uncertain, Minamoto realized one thing for sure: the boost from Tailed Beast Chakra was far greater than he had imagined. This realization filled him with excitement!

Quickly regaining his composure, he used the kunai's reflection to examine himself.

As he studied his reflection, a thought popped into his head.

"Should I call myself Minamoto-shiki or Minamoto-shin in the future..."
