Chapter 362: Chapter 362: Hyuga Mehu – "The Buildings in Iwagakure Village Are… So Ugly"

When Onoki received the report that Shinki Hyuga had entered the Earth Country he jumped up and frantically yelled at the reporting ninja for not informing him earlier

Afterall, it had only been a day since the spies in Kumo had relayed information about the deal between Shinki and the Raikage in regards to the information on how to successfully train a perfect Jinchuriki

Onoki then left Iwagakure and flew toward Shinki and the others at top speed.

The moment he descended from the sky, the muscles on Shinki's face twitched uncontrollably.

"Ahem! Shinki, on behalf of the Earth Country and Iwagakure, I welcome you," Onoki said, forcing a smile.

Shinki raised an eyebrow, unsure of what to say. Put down your posture, sure, but this much? Really? Even the Third Raikage seemed less desperate by comparison.

"Well, since you've personally come to greet us, I can hardly refuse. Let's go to Iwagakure and have a look around," Shinki finally relented.

With Onoki present, the atmosphere shifted noticeably. The team had no interest in sightseeing in the barren Land of Earth. Instead, they followed Onoki straight to Iwagakure.

If Shinki had been unwilling to walk, Onoki might have flown them to the village himself. Walking was too slow, after all.

Iwagakure Village – A Disappointing Welcome

Upon arrival, the three girls in the group, who had shown some curiosity, were immediately underwhelmed.

"Iwagakure is... strange," Mehu muttered, frowning at the dense, unappealing architecture.

Uchiha Mikoto nodded in agreement. "It feels crowded, like there are too many ninjas here."

Kushina sighed, brushing her hair back in irritation. "If I had known it would be like this, I'd have suggested skipping it altogether and going straight to the Land of Wind!"

Shinki chuckled, explaining patiently, "Iwagakure is built on mountains, so its size is limited. The buildings are densely packed, and the population feels crowded. This gives the impression of an overwhelming number of ninjas. But in reality, the number of ninjas here is smaller than in Konoha or the Cloud Village."

The girls exchanged looks as Shinki continued, "Iwagakure's strength lies in its Earth Release Corps. Their teamwork makes them formidable, even if their individual jōnin and elite jōnin numbers are fewer."

Shinki ruffled Kushina's hair affectionately. "Konoha, on the other hand, lacks such a specialized ninja army. Our ninjas are skilled in too many diverse techniques to form cohesive units like theirs."

After a brief pause, Shinki concluded, "Rest for now. There's little of interest here. In two days, we'll head to the Land of Wind."

Konoha's Perspective – News Travels Fast

Meanwhile, back in Konoha, news had reached the Third Hokage that Shinki and his team had been received by the Third Raikage during their visit to the Cloud Village. The scroll on his desk detailed the situation, and he frowned deeply.

What are they doing? Visiting Cloud Ninja Village so openly?

Even more shocking, the Third Raikage himself had greeted them. The Hokage muttered, "The Third Raikage's sincerity seems suspicious. They must have ulterior motives."

Mitokadu Hamura nodded in agreement. "Cloud Village has their sights set on something, likely Kushina. With their Eight-Tails and Three-Tails Jinchūriki, they'd want to learn about our Perfect Jinchūriki. It's reasonable to suspect their intentions."

Koharu Utatane, however, wasn't as restrained. "Taking Kushina on such a risky trip is irresponsible! What if something happens to her?"

The Third Hokage ignored her complaints and turned to Hamura. "I trust Shinki will handle things prudently. He wouldn't share information about our Perfect Jinchūriki without consulting Tsunade or the council first."

Hamura added, "Tsunade's mission should be concluding soon. Once she's back, we'll discuss this in detail. For now, let's keep an eye on things."

Ongoing Tensions

As discussions wrapped up, Koharu scowled in frustration. "Am I just invisible here? You're ignoring me like I'm not even here!"

The Third Hokage and Hamura shared a glance, shrugged, and moved on.
