Naruto: Reincarnated as a Demon King

Chapter 12: 12. Guy's Offer

---

Although Raiden was instantly defeated by Guy, he didn't feel discouraged. The age gap between them was obvious. How many years had Guy been training? And how long had he been training? Just because he couldn't win now didn't mean he wouldn't win in the future!

"Are you alright? I wasn't paying attention and…" Guy flickered to Raiden's side, scratching his head awkwardly as he reached out a hand. For a moment back there, he had taken the fight too seriously.

Even though he had held back most of his power at the last second, getting serious against a kid was still a bit too much.

"I'm fine." Raiden grasped Guy's hand, pulling himself up.

He dusted off his pants. With his physique, that hit wasn't enough to injure him. Rolling so many times just left him a little dizzy. But he was already starting to recover.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Might Guy!" Guy slapped Raiden's shoulder in his usual boisterous manner. It was his way of acknowledging Raiden's taijutsu.

Raiden silently took a step away. 'Damn it, man! Are you trying to break my bones?! Just because he was tough didn't mean it didn't hurt!'

"Raiden. Alistair Raiden."

"What a strange name… but whatever!" Guy glanced up at the sky. It was getting late almost time for dinner. If he didn't have a mission tomorrow, he would have loved to sit down and chat more.

For someone so young, Raiden's taijutsu talent was incredibly rare. Unlike ninjutsu and genjutsu, which could be mastered quickly with talent, taijutsu required step-by-step, sweat-filled hard work.

Guy knew this well. He understood how much effort Raiden must have put in to develop such a strong body at his age. That kind of dedication was only known to those who had suffered through it themselves.

After fighting Raiden, Guy noticed his flaws. And he didn't want Raiden to take the wrong path. So—

"If you're interested in learning proper combat techniques, come find me here in a week." Guy looked at Raiden seriously.

Geniuses come in two types: Born geniuses and hardworking geniuses. And Guy? He respected the hardworking ones far more.

"Huh? Why…" Raiden caught the implication behind Guy's words. But he didn't understand why Guy would offer to teach him. A Jōnin's guidance was something that money couldn't buy! And this was their first time meeting!

"A week from now, let us burn with youth and sweat together!" Without giving Raiden a chance to ask more, Guy turned around, waved his hand, and walked off confidently. Because he knew Raiden would come.

Raiden watched Guy's retreating figure. And suddenly, an image formed in his head… Two figures, both wearing green jumpsuits, both with bowl-cut hair, One big, one small, Two kappas.

"Hell no. Absolutely not!"

Why choose comedy when you could choose to be a legend?!

Training with Guy was a golden opportunity. Raiden wouldn't refuse it. But the green jumpsuit and bowl cut? That was Lee's problem! Just imagining it made him shudder. See you in a week!

And why are my hands itching? Looks like someone's about to get a well-deserved beating.

Back in the Village

As dinnertime approached, Raiden headed toward Izumi's sweet shop. But as he reached an intersection, he noticed a group of five or six people. Young boys, all wearing traditional kimonos The Hyūga Clan's next generation.

The moment Raiden appeared, the Hyūga boys took notice. His horns were simply too eye-catching.

"So it is the bull-headed freak. How ugly." The one in front, a Hyūga boy wearing a Konoha headband, stepped forward, sneering as he glanced at Raiden's horns.

The headband meant he was already a ninja. Given his Hyūga-style kimono, it was hard to tell whether he was a Genin or Chūnin.

But judging by his age, he was likely only in his early teens. Not old enough to be a Chūnin, but it wasn't impossible.

"Something you need?" Raiden had no intention of getting into conflict. But these guys were clearly here for trouble.

Unlike the Uchiha, whose Sharingan was normally black, only revealing it's red and tomoe when activated, The Hyūga's Byakugan was always noticeable. That near pure-white iris was like a family crest stamped onto their faces.

"You're the one who injured Shuu, aren't you?" The Hyūga boy looked down at Raiden, his voice cold. It was a question, but his tone was absolute.

The moment Raiden saw the Hyūga boys, he had already guessed why they were there. He just didn't expect them to come so quickly. He only wrecked Shuu yesterday… And they were already here for revenge today?

"And you are…?" Raiden's expression remained calm, showing no fear despite being surrounded.

If trouble was coming, there was no avoiding it. The Hyūga were a prestigious clan. Unlike Raiden, who had no family ties.

"I'm his older brother. Hyūga Ten." The boy's cold eyes flickered with killing intent.

When Shuu was carried back home, his face was completely caved in. Broken nose. Shattered cheekbones. His entire face was ruined.

Even after checking every hospital in Konoha, Every doctor had shaken their heads in regret.

Shuu had always mocked Raiden for being a bull-headed freak. But now? He was the one with no face left to show! The moment Shuu heard the final diagnosis, he had fainted from the shock.

"Who named you Ten? Was your mother on her tenth husband or something?" Raiden asked casually.

"How did you kn— Wait a minute... You Bastard! I'll Kill You!" Ten shouted, his confusion quickly turning into rage.

"Oh." Raiden's response was flat. Then, he simply walked past them heading toward the sweet shop.

Silence.

…WHAT.

Everyone froze.

This little sh*t was too arrogant! What kind of reaction was that?!

"You think you can just walk away?"

Ten's expression darkened, his eyes turning colder.

"You have two options."

"Break yourself—"

"Or I'll do it for you."

His tone was eerily calm like this was just another daily chore. The other Hyūga boys spread out, forming a barrier and blocking Raiden's path.

Raiden paused. He sighed. Not because he was scared, but because trouble kept coming to him.

Shaking his head, he glanced sideways at Ten. "There's actually a third option…"

"I send you to join your brother in the hospital."

The Hyūga Clan? Did they expect him to kneel and beg for mercy?

"Hahaha!" Ten laughed angrily. A Genin, against a six-year-old Academy student? And the brat dared to threaten him?!

"Alright then."

"Let's see how you plan to do that."

And with that, the fight began.
