Naruto: Reborn as Zoro

"HAHAHA! HE'S FINALLY DIED! THAT ANNOYING FLY IS FINALLY GONE, HAHAHA!" Shukaku is really happy knowing that Rasa has gone.

Well, he's not wrong about Rasa being dead. But unlike what he thinks, he isn't the one who kills Rasa because from the beginning, he was fighting a dead man. His attack also didn't really do anything to Edo Tensei Rasa anyway, but Zoro won't say anything about it.

"Uh, sorry to ruin your fun, but everything is not over yet. I'm still here, you know."

Shukaku has just realized that Zoro is still alive when he says that. His presence has gone from Shukaku's mind ever since Rasa appeared. Shukaku's grudge for Rasa is just so deep that it overshadows Zoro's existence in Shukaku's mind.

"You, have you just been watching all this time?" Shukaku frowns.

"That's the only thing I can do for a while there, so what do you expect me to do? Besides, won't it benefit me if you can just kill each other because then I don't need to do anything? So why should I bother getting involved in your fight?"

Zoro's answer just makes so much sense that Shukaku can't even complain. But still having another enemy to defeat is just really annoying for Shukaku. So he just creates another giant Tailed Beast Bomb.

Shukaku knows that "normal" attacks won't work on Zoro because he can cut the air bullet and even the sand burial technique easily. So he decides to just use his strongest attack to kill Zoro who is as hard to kill as a cockroach.

"DIE, YOU GREEN HEAD!" Shukaku shoots the Tailed Beast Bomb at Zoro who already holds Wado Ichimonji in his mouth while the other 2 swords are still in their scabbards.

The giant Tailed Beast Bomb suddenly gets cut into 12 parts because there are 6 slashes with 1 of them being horizontal that cut the bomb in half while the other 5 are vertical that cut each half into 6 parts, that's why the result is 12 parts.

It's quite different from the original Zoro's technique, but the basic is the same even though it creates a different result. Zoro doesn't just take and use the original Zoro's skills as they are. He tweaks them to match his style too.

Anyway, the Tailed Beast Bomb explodes after being cut by Zoro. The explosion is really strong and it pushes both Shukaku and Zoro back quite far because it gets destroyed right between them while also destroying the surroundings.

Seeing his Bomb get cut into pieces has already surprised Shukaku. But seeing Zoro uninjured from the blast surprises him even more. After all, he uses more chakra than the previous Beast Bomb that he shot at Rasa, yet Zoro is fine.

"Damn it! What the hell is wrong with your body? How can a normal human be fine after taking the blast from that explosion. Even if you weren't right inside the explosion, the force of that blast should still be enough to tear a human's body into pieces." Shukaku really can't accept the result.

"Maybe you just need to stop seeing me as a normal human. After all, normal humans can't do this." Zoro raises Enma high before slashing it down.

A massive slash attack flies toward Shukaku who is very surprised by it. Shukaku remembers that Zoro's attacks always manage to cut his jutsu, so he knows he can't stop it with his attack. But he also can't dodge because his body is very heavy as it's made of sand.

Still, he won't just take it, so he creates a very thick wall of sand in front of him hastily while also crossing his arms to block the slash attack. He also uses his long sand tail to block the sword in front of his arms.

Zoro's slash attack hits the sand wall that still rises. The sand wall is made hastily, so it's not that strong. But it still can reduce the slash attack's power before reaching Shukaku.

After cutting through the weak but thick sand wall, Zoro's slash attack hits Shukaku's tail first. The tail is much harder than the sand wall. It doesn't get cut right away, but the slash attack is still very strong, so it pushes Shukaku back.

Shukaku grunts while trying to fight the slash attack. He shouts as he uses his massive amount of chakra to throw the attack to the sky. The slash attack is thrown, but Shukaku's tail and an arm is being cut in the process.

Zoro rubs his chin while looking at the result. He doesn't use his full power for that attack, but it still manages to cut Shukaku's tail and an arm. It's not a bad result even though he remembers that Gamabunta could cut one of Shukaku's arms easily in the series.

Unless, that wasn't really Shukaku's arm. When Gamabunta cut it, Gaara was still in control, not Shukaku. It was just a massive body made out of sand that has yet to be covered by Shukaku's power.

When Shukaku takes over the giant sand body, its overall power has increased greatly. It becomes much more durable as if it's Shukaku's real body. That's why it is harder to damage the body when Shukaku is in control, proved by how Gamabunta couldn't damage it as easily as when he cut the arm.

But Zoro actually managed to cut a tail and an arm even after cutting through a sand wall as well and he does it without his full power attack. He assumes that even if Shukaku's control makes the body much stronger, it still can't match Shukaku's real body, or maybe his attack is just that strong.

Either way, he knows that he can cut through Shukaku's body now, the one who's known to have the Absolute Defense. Though he knows that Shukaku's body isn't the hardest out of all Tailed Beasts, and this body is just a replica, so it's not really something to be proud of at his current level.

"Well, let's just finish this quickly. I need to return quickly or Hiyori will cry."

Zoro holds all his 3 swords and coats them all with Armament Haki. Shukaku can sense Zoro's power rising, so he knows Zoro will use a stronger attack.

"DAMN YOU! DO YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE ME DOWN THAT EASILY? I'LL SHOW YOU MY TRUE POWER, DAMMIT!"

Shukaku creates a Tailed Beast Bomb again, now with all of his power. It's much bigger than the previous bomb, but then he compresses it to increase its power.

"HAHAHA! DIE, YOU WORM!"

Shukaku shoots the full power compressed Tailed Beast Bomb at Zoro. Its size is small compared to normal Tailed Beast Bomb. But Zoro can sense that the power packed in that bomb is much more dangerous.

Zoro charges forward and jumps toward the compressed Tailed Beast Bomb that glows red. He jumps directly onto it, much to Shukaku's surprise because it looks like Zoro is trying to suicide instead of fighting it.

Then, Zoro swings his swords at the Tailed Beast Bomb. But he uses the flat side of his swords to touch it and with very gentle yet fast movements. He swings his swords up and the Tailed Beast Bomb is thrown to the sky without exploding.

Shukaku widens his eyes in surprise when his bomb is thrown really fast to the sky. It reaches the clouds before exploding. The explosion is so big that it can be seen very clearly from Konoha and other towns or villages around.

Zoro smirks when he sees that it really works. This is the result of him training in gentle swordsmanship. The original Zoro only taught him strong swordsmanship that emphasized on strength and brute force, but he felt that it wasn't enough, so he trained gentle swordsmanship that emphasized on speed and calmness by himself.

By combining both styles, he can do a lot more things, including deflecting this kind of attack without triggering it. If he just cuts the bomb, it will explode and engulf him. While he is confident he can defend it, he will still receive damage, so he'd rather not take it.

Then while Shukaku is still in disbelief by what has just happened, Zoro charges at the giant beast. Shukaku realizes Zoro's approach too late, so he can't do anything about what Zoro does next.

"Purgatory Ogre Cutter!" (Rengoku Oni Giri!)

Zoro slashes his swords while jumping high towards Shukaku, creating 3 massive slashes that overlap with each other, making it look like a 6 points star.

"FUCK!" Shukaku curses as his giant body is cut into 6 pieces with his chest as the center.

*BOOM*

The giant sand body parts fall onto the ground before they crumble into sand. Only Shukaku's head is still intact because Gaara's body is there, so it can maintain its shape. Zoro approaches it, still holding his swords.

".... Why does it feel so disturbing just seeing a living chopped head?"
