Naruto: Rebirth Of The Child Of Prophecy

Chapter 20: Kill Him!

Tsunade's head was pounding with frustration, disbelief, and no small amount of anger. Looking at Danzo before her—a man now reduced to a bleeding wreck—her emotions were a chaotic storm. Danzo's left eye burned with fury, while his right eye socket, a gory and empty void, bore testimony to Naruto's audacity.

"Naruto... What are you doing?!"

Tsunade clenched her fists, barely able to process what had just transpired. Naruto, in the middle of the Hokage's office and in full view of Konoha's leadership, had torn out Danzo's right eye with his bare hands! Was this the same Naruto who dreamed of becoming Hokage? The same Naruto who carried the Will of Fire?

Jiraiya and Kakashi stood as frozen as Tsunade, their faces mirroring her shock. Even Danzo himself looked utterly stunned. If someone had told him earlier today that Naruto Uzumaki—a loud, brash, but ultimately idealistic boy—would attack him in the Hokage's office and gouge out his eye, Danzo would have laughed and called them insane.

But now, here they were.

Naruto, standing casually in Sage Mode, held the stolen Sharingan in his hand. His gaze was cold and unrepentant as he regarded the man before him. Danzo's blood dripped steadily from the eye and onto the floor, a macabre contrast to the sunlight streaming through the shattered windows.

With a sharp, disdainful snort, Naruto addressed Danzo. "How does it feel, Danzo-sama? When you took Uchiha Shisui's eye, did you ever imagine this day would come?"

His words were like a thunderclap. Everyone in the room froze, their shock giving way to suspicion.

Kakashi broke the silence, his voice filled with disbelief. "Naruto… Are you saying… that Sharingan belongs to Uchiha Shisui?"

Naruto nodded without hesitation. "That's right. Otherwise, why would I go to all this trouble to take it back?"

Naruto reached into his pocket and withdrew a small vial filled with a life-preserving solution. Calmly, he placed the stolen Sharingan inside and sealed the vial shut. Shizune's eyes widened in recognition—she had prepared that vial for Naruto herself. At the time, he'd claimed it was for cultivating a summoning beast.

So… this had been his plan all along!

Danzo, clutching his bloodied face, growled through gritted teeth, "That eye was a gift from Shisui! Don't you dare accuse me of stealing it!"

Turning his attention to Tsunade, Danzo roared, "Tsunade, if you don't deal with this boy right now, I will use Root to take him down myself!"

Naruto, unbothered by Danzo's threats, pocketed the vial and smirked. "Don't worry, Danzo-sama."

With a faint hum, Naruto vanished in a flash of light, only to reappear behind Danzo.

"I'll take that arm too," Naruto said coldly.

Danzo barely had time to react before Naruto's blade struck. Another flash of light followed, and in the next instant, Naruto stood back in his original spot, holding Danzo's severed right arm in his grasp.

The room descended into chaos.

Blood poured from Danzo's mutilated body, pooling on the floor. His remaining hand clutched his wounded arm, his face twisted in a mixture of rage and terror. The once-proud elder now looked utterly broken. His one remaining eye no longer showed anger—it showed fear.

Kakashi rushed to Danzo's side to shield him from further attacks, while Shizune darted forward to stem the bleeding. Anbu guards surrounded Tsunade protectively, and even Homura and Koharu shrank back in terror, their faces pale as they retreated to the farthest corner of the room.

Jiraiya's voice boomed across the office. "Naruto! Do you even realize what you've done?!"

Naruto ignored him and calmly unwrapped the bandages covering Danzo's severed arm. What lay beneath shocked everyone.

The arm was pale, unnaturally so—almost a sickly white. The unmistakable texture of Hashirama Senju's cells was evident, and the limb was riddled with seals.

Tsunade's eyes narrowed. "That arm… It's been transplanted with my grandfather's cells."

Jiraiya stepped closer, his expression dark. "And those seals… What was Danzo suppressing?"

Naruto held up the arm for everyone to see. Embedded along its length were numerous Sharingan, their crimson pupils lifeless yet eerie.

"Danzo-sama," Naruto said mockingly, "you've been carrying these Sharingan around for years. That must've been hard to manage, huh? Well, don't worry—I've taken that burden off your hands."

Danzo, trembling from blood loss and fear, looked up at Naruto with wide eyes. His voice, weak and rasping, came out as a hoarse whisper. "Who… are you?"

Naruto's expression didn't change. "I'm Uzumaki Naruto."

Jiraiya stepped forward, his voice heavy with disappointment. "Naruto, do you understand what your actions mean? You've crossed a line you can't uncross."

Naruto took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "I know. But I had to do this."

Tsunade's voice was sharp and commanding. "Naruto, return Danzo's arm and eye now. We can still resolve this peacefully."

Danzo, his strength returning slightly, snarled, "No! He has to die!"

Naruto chuckled bitterly and raised his hands in mock surrender. "See, Granny? My hands are tied."

He turned his gaze to Danzo, his voice colder than ever. "Don't worry, Danzo-sama. I won't kill you. That honor belongs to Sasuke. Your hands are stained with the blood of his clan. Dying by his hand will give him closure."

Naruto's words hung heavy in the air as he prepared to teleport away.

Jiraiya called out desperately, "Wait, Naruto! Are you doing this for Sasuke? Are you avenging the Uchiha clan?!"

Naruto stopped and turned back, his expression unreadable. "I did this because Danzo had something I needed. That's all. As for where I'm going next… Don't worry about it. You'll hear my name soon enough."

Jiraiya's heart sank. "So, you're defecting from Konoha…"

Naruto's voice was calm but resolute. "No matter how Konoha treats me, I'm still Uzumaki Naruto."

And with that, Naruto vanished, leaving chaos and unanswered questions in his wake.
