Naruto: Playing Minecraft In Konoha

Naruto frowned at Sasuke's sudden announcement.

"You're leaving tomorrow? So soon?"

He couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. He had barely spent enough time with his son today—though, considering he'd just finished beating Boruto into the ground earlier, it wasn't the kind of bonding moment he was proud of.

Sasuke handed over a scroll, breaking Naruto's train of thought.

"This contains my insights on Lightning Release techniques. Pass it on to him for me."

Naruto took the scroll, his usual playful grin fading into something more serious. He knew how much Sasuke cared, even if he didn't show it.

"Got it," he replied. "But are you sure you can't stay a little longer?"

Sasuke shook his head. "If we linger, it'll just attract more trouble."

Naruto sighed. Trouble's going to show up whether you're here or not, you know.

Sasuke glanced over his shoulder. "Boruto will stay here tonight. I'll pick him up in the morning."

Without waiting for a reply, Sasuke turned and walked away. Naruto watched him go, then turned to the house and shouted, "Boruto! Get out here!"

It took a long three minutes before Boruto finally emerged, dragging his feet like a kid who'd just been called away from a video game.

"What's with that face?!" Naruto growled, brandishing a hefty iron rod as a teaching tool.

Boruto paled. Wasn't Dad supposed to be done beating me today?!

"Tonight, you'll be learning the Fox School Energy Wave!" Naruto declared, twirling the rod for emphasis.

Boruto blinked. "Wait... isn't that just the Tailed Beast Ball with a different name?"

Naruto groaned inwardly. He couldn't tell the kid that Kurama had insisted on renaming the move because it felt like shouting "Turtle" made it seem like the credit went to Isobu, the Three-Tails. Naruto had relented to keep Kurama's jealousy at bay. It's not like I'm calling out another fox's name or anything!

"No questions!" Naruto barked. "Now focus!"

The rest of the night was filled with relentless training. Explosions rocked the training ground as Naruto forced Boruto to push his limits. Every mistake sent Boruto tumbling into the dirt—or, on six separate occasions, straight to the Pure Land to briefly meet his grandmother.

By morning, Boruto had finally managed to master the Fox School Energy Wave, a blue beam of chakra that could tear through boulders. He stood panting, his excitement outweighing his exhaustion.

"Dad! I did it! I finally did it!" Boruto cheered, nearly jumping into Naruto's arms.

Naruto smirked. "That's my boy. Knew you could do it."

For a brief moment, Boruto basked in his father's praise—before Naruto smacked him lightly on the back of the head.

"Don't let it get to your head, though. Remember the training methods I taught you!"

Boruto pouted but nodded. "Yes, Dad…"

Just then, Sasuke reappeared, signaling that it was time to leave.

"Mr. Sasuke!" Boruto wailed, running to him with tears in his eyes. "Take me home! Please!"

Naruto crossed his arms, unbothered by the dramatic display.

Sasuke shot Naruto a knowing look before turning to Boruto. "Let's go."

"Wait!" Naruto called out, stopping them in their tracks. He handed Boruto two scrolls, filled with resurrection seals, healing potions, and a jug of milk.

"Take these," he said gruffly. "Just in case."

Boruto clutched the scrolls, tears streaming down his face. "Thank you, Dad…"

"Alright, alright, enough with the waterworks. Get outta here before I change my mind," Naruto said, waving them off.

As the portal activated and Boruto disappeared with Sasuke, Naruto stood in silence for a moment.

Guess that's that.

He turned to head back into the house, but not before pausing to glance at the table.

"Wait… wasn't there a book here?"

In a faraway dimension, Boruto clutched the stolen book tightly against his chest.

Sorry, Dad… but I had to know what you were hiding…Please forgive me for taking your book away without permission...
