Chapter 127: Sasuke Departs for Sound Village on a Rainy Night

The process of fusing the Byakugan into Hinata's body was far simpler than Naruto had anticipated.

As Hinata activated her Byakugan, a faint blue glow enveloped her body. The severed Byakugan eyes placed before her gradually transformed into pure chakra and merged seamlessly into her own eyes.

Naruto breathed a sigh of relief. The fusion process had been effortless and, most importantly, didn't require surgery. He wouldn't have been able to perform such a procedure, nor could he bear the thought of putting his beloved wife through it.

However, despite absorbing 201 Byakugan, Hinata's eyes didn't evolve into the Rinnegan.

Naruto wasn't surprised, though. The purity of the Byakugan extracted from Urashiki had diminished with each removal, making them insufficient for the evolution into a Rinnegan. If it were that simple to create a Rinnegan, the Otsutsuki clan wouldn't have been as fearsome as they were.

Still, the fusion wasn't fruitless. The blue light in Hinata's left eye became more distinct, and her chakra levels now exceeded even Sasuke's. With proper training, Hinata's potential could rival the greatest shinobi.

"Just don't end up bullying me in sparring sessions," Naruto muttered to himself.

After finishing the process, Naruto held Hinata's hand and led her out of the lab. However, he couldn't help but notice that her mood seemed off.

"Hinata, are you alright?" he asked, concerned.

Hinata shook her head, smiling faintly. But Naruto could tell something was bothering her.

Girls' emotions are truly difficult to grasp, he thought.

Outside the lab, the chaos continued. Sasuke and Uchiha Xiao Yan were once again locked in a heated spar, hurling both insults and punches at one another. Their trash talk had reached such absurd levels that it would put even Orochimaru's theatrics to shame.

Nearby, Boruto struggled under the weight of the massive door panel his father had given him for training. His determination to carry it, despite his constant stumbles, was almost admirable.

Meanwhile, Neji stood off to the side, glaring at Boruto with clenched fists, clearly contemplating another impromptu lesson.

"Naruto-kun," Hinata began softly, breaking his thoughts. "Let's... let's go clean the house together."

Naruto blinked. There wasn't much to clean, but seeing her hopeful expression, he nodded. "Alright, let's go."

As they walked toward the villa, Neji's veins bulged as he glared at Naruto's retreating figure. Without a word, he turned back to Boruto, who was still struggling with his training.

Bang!

Neji's strike sent Boruto tumbling to the ground, the door panel pinning him beneath its weight.

"Why did you hit me this time?!" Boruto cried, his voice tinged with despair.

Neji crossed his arms, his expression cold. "Because you're wearing black."

Boruto: "???"

Thus began yet another round of "Uncle vs. Nephew," much to Boruto's misery.

Not far away, Sasuke and Xiao Yan paused their sparring to watch the commotion. They exchanged a glance, smirked, and then both charged toward Konohamaru, who was egging Neji on. Moments later, Konohamaru's cries echoed through the training ground.

---

That night, after cleaning the house, Naruto and Hinata shared a quiet moment together. They were practically glowing with affection, a sight that made Neji storm off in frustration, dragging a reluctant Hinata behind him.

Naruto watched them leave, a chuckle escaping his lips. His amusement was short-lived, however, as Sasuke approached him with a serious expression.

"Naruto," Sasuke said in a low voice, "I'm leaving Konoha for a while."

Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Where to?"

"The Sound Village," Sasuke replied, his tone cryptic.

Naruto immediately burst into laughter. "Hahahaha! Are you finally going to meet Medusa—"

Bang!

Sasuke's ruler came down hard, silencing Naruto mid-sentence.

"Shut up, idiot!" Sasuke snapped, his face red with embarrassment. "Don't spread nonsense!"

Naruto smirked, rubbing the back of his head. "Alright, alright. I'll send a shadow clone with you. It'll make things easier if you need to use a portal."

Sasuke nodded. As Naruto formed the seals, a shadow clone materialized—dressed in a black robe with red clouds and sporting drawn-on tear marks.

"My foolish little brother," the clone intoned dramatically, striking a pose.

Sasuke's patience snapped. With a swift swing of his ruler, he dispersed the clone. "Make a normal one!"

Naruto sighed, summoning a regular clone this time. "Happy now?"

Satisfied, Sasuke prepared to leave. But before departing, he made sure to smack Konohamaru one last time for good measure.

Naruto watched his friend disappear into the night, a bittersweet smile on his face.

"Team 7... it's finally disbanding," he murmured.

His thoughts turned to Boruto, who was training tirelessly with the door panel. The kid had potential, but Naruto couldn't help but worry about the strange techniques being passed down.

"We can't let the ninja world's style deviate any further," Naruto muttered, recalling the odd books he'd confiscated earlier.

Before heading to bed, Naruto decided to hide them somewhere safe, away from prying eyes. But as he stepped away, he failed to notice a certain someone creeping toward the table.

Boruto, fresh from a shower, spotted one of the books left behind. Picking it up, he squinted at the title.

"'X-Rated Sage Arts'?" he read aloud, his curiosity piqued.
