NARUTO: Ninja World Scientific Revolution

Chapter 75: CHAPTER 75 - No. 18

"Alliance?"

Onoki took the letter of intent for an alliance, handed over by the Sand Shinobi, from Kurotsuchi and opened it. It was written personally by the Fourth Kazekage. The letter outlined an intention for a strategic alliance between the Iwa Shinobi and the Sand Shinobi to jointly attack Konoha.

"Hasn't the Sand Shinobi even made it into Konoha's territory yet? Konoha only mobilized about a thousand soldiers, and the Third Hokage didn't even make it to the front lines, but they managed to stop the Fourth Kazekage's forces?"

Kurotsuchi's expression grew serious as she replied, "There's nothing we can do. Konoha controls the best lands and the most lucrative missions. When it comes to the number of ninjas, no other major country, including ours, can rival them."

"Let the Sand Shinobi deal with Konoha for a while. We'll hold off for now," Onoki said casually, placing the letter on the table. He neither accepted nor rejected the offer.

While the Sand Shinobi were ranked at the bottom among the Five Great Shinobi Nations, when they got serious, they could still pose a threat to Konoha. Additionally, Iwa Shinobi wouldn't need to hold out too long. The Sand's Jinchuriki was already on their way to the frontlines. Once they handled the Cloud Shinobi, they could announce their alliance with the Sand Shinobi.

Kurotsuchi confirmed once more, "Shall I reply to the Sand Shinobi like this?"

Onoki nodded, "Yes, that's fine. You can inform them that we are currently engaged in a conflict with the Cloud Shinobi. We can't spare any forces for Konoha at the moment, but once we take care of the Cloud Shinobi, we will immediately form an alliance with the Sand."

When the Cloud Shinobi were mentioned, Onoki's face darkened. The Third Raikage, that reckless fool, had personally led a raid on several of Iwa's mining stations. It was also rumored that the Third Raikage had even invaded the Sand's Bokusha Town, only to be repelled.

Only the Cloud Shinobi could act so shamelessly, attacking their fellow ninja villages. After the Five Great Shinobi Nations, Onoki despised Konoha the most and held the Cloud Shinobi in the lowest regard.

His dislike for Konoha stemmed from a deep personal memory, one that he had trouble forgetting. His contempt for the Cloud Shinobi was due to their lack of dignity as a great nation, resorting to ruthless pillaging like bandits.

Once Kurotsuchi left, Onoki returned to his duties in the village, but his thoughts were preoccupied. He was considering how to deal with the Third Raikage. If he didn't find a way to deal with him, the Cloud Shinobi would continue their attacks, tarnishing Iwa's reputation.

The Sand Shinobi were keeping the matter of the One-Tails Jinchuriki joining the battlefield a secret. Apart from revealing it to Iwa, it had been kept mostly under wraps. By the time Iwa learned of it, the One-Tails Jinchuriki had already arrived in Bokusha Town. However, Rasa had been biding his time, waiting for the right moment to strike at Konoha, which was why the Jinchuriki had not yet been deployed.

The monk Bunpuku, though getting older, had started to think about preparing for the next Jinchuriki after this battle.

Meanwhile, in the desolate mountain hollow, about ten miles from Kikyo City, Hyuga Mirai had converted it into a makeshift lab for his biological-mechanical assistant project. Five shadow clones were tirelessly operating instruments, putting together the final steps for the assistant's completion.

"Is it a success?" Hyuga Mirai's voice came through the communicator. His real body was not present.

"The final step hasn't been initiated yet. If the energy furnace fails, you might lose more than three billion in funding and will need to explain to Konoha why the experimental equipment was destroyed."

The shadow clone responded, its voice steady despite the high stakes. Although numerous simulations had shown success, there was always the risk of failure, and if it occurred, the explosion would be catastrophic, enough to destroy Kikyo City.

Due to a shortage of materials, Hyuga Mirai couldn't create the perfect multi-purpose bio-mechanical assistant he had envisioned. Many of the features were unachievable, leaving the assistant with only a few functions: flight, energy conversion, beam attacks, electromagnetic pulse cannons, smart data analysis, and close combat capabilities.

In simple terms, the assistant was like a robot with the intelligence of an eight-year-old, but with many considerations for the dangerous ninja world, so it was equipped for combat.

After numerous adjustments, one of the shadow clones used the instruments to install the completed Star Stone energy furnace into the assistant's chest.

A faint sound echoed, and the data on the instruments fluctuated sharply. The energy furnace in the assistant's chest emitted a burst of energy, coursing through the network of electromagnetic veins, activating all of the assistant's components.

In the next moment, the assistant's eyes opened, and its mechanical pupils flashed with streams of information. The propulsion system on its back released energy, and it rose from the testing platform.

It scanned its surroundings, then fixed its gaze on the shadow clone of Hyuga Mirai. In a mechanical voice, it greeted, "Hello, Mr. Mirai!"

"It's a success," Hyuga Mirai said with satisfaction. "Come see for yourself, body."

One of the shadow clones spoke into the communicator, deactivating the jutsu. The chakra carrying the memories returned to Hyuga Mirai's real body, allowing him to view the recent experiment as if watching a recording.

Eagerly, he rushed to the hollow lab. He was in high spirits. The success of the bio-mechanical assistant felt like creating a child of his own.

Upon his arrival, he saw the assistant seated at the test platform, receiving data transmissions. He couldn't help but approach for a closer look.

"Mr. Mirai," the assistant greeted as it noticed his presence.

Hyuga Mirai couldn't help but marvel at the assistant's progress. He had pre-set commands like basic knowledge and greetings, but since time was limited, he couldn't input every piece of information into the assistant's core. He had given it a command for active learning, so it could develop its own understanding over time.

After basic testing, one of the shadow clones deactivated the jutsu, and the chakra returned to Hyuga Mirai's mind. The assistant's performance was well-documented, and Mirai quickly analyzed the data.

"The Star Stone energy furnace is working perfectly. With the chakra output from my shadow clones, the assistant's maximum energy output is 4.27 times higher than mine. It can function continuously for 1,456 days in normal mode, but I haven't set up its combat mode yet, so I can't estimate its energy consumption."

Using his Byakugan, he observed the assistant. "As expected, the sealing barrier combined with the bio-body's coverage blocks my Byakugan's vision."

"Next, I'll need to test the weapons and gather combat data. Also, I need to come up with a name."

Hyuga Mirai pondered for a while but couldn't come up with a suitable name. He was terrible at naming things, and everything seemed either right or wrong. Finally, he glanced at the date and decided, "18. From now on, your name is 18!"

The assistant, following its programming, nodded and responded in a mechanical voice, "Understood, Mr. Mirai. My name will be 18."

With that, a new chapter in Hyuga Mirai's creation had begun.
