Kakashi was surrounded by three Cloud Ninja.

The three Cloud Ninja looked at the weakened Kakashi with confusion.

What in the world is this?

Could this Leaf brat have been injured elsewhere and just happened to run into them?

One of the Cloud Ninja pulled out a kunai. "Then allow me to finish off this kid."

In the world of shinobi, mercy isn't shown simply because someone is young.

Kakashi felt his scalp tingling.

I've never been this humiliated since I started fighting!

And this time, the battle hadn't even properly started yet.

One of the Cloud Ninja was already approaching Kakashi, kunai in hand.

Though dizzy and short of breath, Kakashi forced himself to move under the threat of death.

He pulled out three kunai from his ninja tool pouch and threw them at the three Cloud Ninja.

The Cloud Ninja easily dodged Kakashi's kunai.

Kakashi drew his short blade and attempted to circle behind one of the Cloud Ninja using the Shifting Body Technique.

But the Shifting Body Technique required focusing chakra into both feet for rapid movement.

Right now, even moving slightly was difficult for Kakashi.

After using the technique, the suffocating sensation only got worse, and the Shifting Body Technique barely worked—he moved painfully slow.

The Cloud Ninja kicked Kakashi straight away, sending him crashing against a tree before falling to the ground.

The three Cloud Ninja couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! Is this kid here as a joke?"

"This is the Shifting Body Technique? My grandma could move faster using it!"

"It seems like the Hidden Leaf is really on its last legs now, sending a brat like this onto the battlefield."

Currently, Kakashi could hardly hear anything.

After getting kicked, he tried to catch his breath, but was hindered by his thick face mask.

Instinctively grabbing his mask, he began trying to remove it.

Just as he opened a small gap in the mask, he stopped immediately.

Chinya must be watching somewhere nearby. Chinya had previously said that aside from eating and drinking, the mask must never come off—not even during battle.

If he removed it now, wouldn't Chinya feel disappointed in his newly accepted disciple?

Gritting his teeth, Kakashi forced himself to release the mask.

It would be too shameful for his very first act as Chinya's disciple to disappoint his master.

If intense physical exertion wasn't possible, then staying still and making precise moves could still work, right?

Kakashi raised his blade toward the Cloud Ninja closest to him.

However, Kakashi's Heat Thunder Realm just didn't match up to Chinya's.

Chinya's Heat Thunder Realm was scorching hot and blisteringly fast.

Yet Kakashi's Heat Thunder Realm only reached temperatures equivalent to a standard Lightning Release ninjutsu, and its speed wasn't much better either.

The Cloud Ninja quickly responded.

[Earth Style Mud Wall!] 

Injecting earth-natured chakra into the ground, the Cloud Ninja created an upright wall of earth to block Kakashi's attack.

Kakashi immediately hurled a kunai with two Explosive Tags strapped to it.

The kunai lodged into the earth wall. The Explosive Tags detonated, instantly shattering it into rubble and sending debris flying in all directions.

Kakashi hoped to use the smoke and dust as cover, slipping into the nearby bushes.

But his current speed was nowhere near enough. He had barely moved when the Rock Ninjas were already rushing toward him.

One of them swung a kunai at Kakashi, who raised his short blade to parry.

Meanwhile, the other two ninjas attacked from either side.

Kakashi rolled back, evading their sudden strikes.

Yet these three Rock Ninjas gave him no chance to catch his breath, charging him again in unison.

Chinya sat calmly on a tree trunk, watching Kakashi's pitiful state.

He immediately understood Kakashi's plan.

But Kakashi didn't hold the advantage here—he couldn't simply choose to fight subtly if he wanted to.

Control belonged to the enemy, who would never act according to Kakashi's expectations.

Chinya stood upright from the tree trunk, ready to intervene in the battle at any moment.

These three Rock Ninjas would normally pose no real challenge to Kakashi. Now it all came down to just how well Kakashi could hold up under pressure.

The three enemies moved in at once. Kakashi's mind went completely blank—he could only react on instinct.

After blocking one ninja's strike, Kakashi sidestepped another's blow.

The third ninja struck without pause.

Unable to dodge, Kakashi did the unexpected—he lunged forward instead of retreating, driving his blade into the third ninja's gut in a desperate exchange.

The third ninja clearly hesitated, abandoning his attack on Kakashi and opting to dodge instead.

Right now, Kakashi's mind was completely blank—he seemed to have forgotten everything, even how to breathe.

Fighting purely by instinct, Kakashi wielded his short blade fiercely, gradually regaining coordination and falling into rhythm.

The three Rock Ninjas grew increasingly frustrated; they had originally thought they were fighting a weakling.

So why was this weakling growing stronger the longer they fought?

The battle between them appeared locked in a stalemate.

However, Kakashi could only sustain this state for a very short time.

After dodging several shuriken, Kakashi suddenly regained awareness.

An overwhelming suffocating sensation caused him to collapse to the ground, eyes rolling back as he nearly passed out.

Seeing this opportunity, the three Rock Ninjas prepared to kill Kakashi—only for Chinya, perched atop the tree, to move.

Using the Body Flicker Technique, Chinya instantly appeared before Kakashi.

Upon seeing Chinya materialize out of nowhere, the three Rock Ninjas became cautious and refrained from reckless actions.

Chinya yanked off Kakashi's mask, and just as he was about to take a deep breath, Chinya swiftly pinched his jaw shut.

"Breathe slowly—feel the air filling your lungs."

After saying that, Chinya released Kakashi's jaw.

Kakashi clenched his mouth shut, breathing through his nose—he feared that opening his mouth would trigger an uncontrollable gasp.

Chinya looked at the three Rock Ninjas and immediately unsheathed his Ninja Sword. Using only the Body Flicker Technique, he slit each of their throats one by one.

If these three Rock Ninjas were too strong, Chinya wouldn't let Kakashi handle them alone.

Otherwise, if Kakashi couldn't even fight back, the training wouldn't be effective.

After finishing off the three Rock Ninjas, Chinya resheathed his Ninja Sword and crouched down next to Kakashi.

Kakashi's breathing was slowly returning to normal.

After holding his breath for so long, being able to breathe normally again felt amazing—Kakashi had never felt anything that good before.

"How was it? Could you really feel that?"

Just as Kakashi was about to speak, a sudden wave of nausea hit him. He sat up suddenly, braced himself on both hands, and started vomiting violently.
