Naruto: I Have Cursed Spirits!

Chapter 25: 25 - Miraculous Healing

The two medical-nin looked at each other.

They didn't understand, what exactly was Hanzō doing? Why had he brought a child to this place?

Though deeply confused, they did not question his decision. They simply stood silently, watching the scene unfold before them. Still, they couldn't help but feel it was absurd.

Shiratori extended both hands and placed them on the injured ninja's legs. Cursed energy surged within his body, continuously flowing into his hands.

A green light lit up in his palms. It looked like green buds full of life and vitality. Seeing this, the blank expressions on the two medical-nin shattered completely. Their eyes widened in disbelief. But what happened next utterly blew their minds.

The green light covered the injured ninja's legs. Charred scabs kept falling off onto the ground. Fresh red flesh began to regenerate visibly to the naked eye.

Not only the two medical-nin, even Hanzō's breathing grew rapid. His pupils burned with intensity, and he stared unblinkingly at Shiratori.

"Ugh…"

The ninja, who had already fallen unconscious, suddenly let out a cry of pain. He struggled to open his eyes and saw an unfamiliar child.

The two medical-nin quickly pressed down on the injured man's shoulders.

"Don't move!"

"He's treating you!"

They swallowed hard, unable to tear their eyes away from Shiratori.

"Hanzō-sama…"

The injured ninja looked up and saw Hanzō and Chiba standing to the side. But Hanzō had no time to spare for him anymore. His full attention was on Shiratori.

The ninja's gaze slowly drifted downward, and he saw his legs gradually healing, and the unusually focused child treating him.

His pupils suddenly widened in disbelief. His legs… they were actually… But didn't the medical-nin say it was untreatable?

Then what was happening now?

And who was this child?

A barrage of questions flooded his mind. He could no longer think clearly. Beside him, the two medical-nin were in a similar state.

The overwhelming shock left them frozen, able to do nothing but stare blankly at the child before them.

Shiratori watched as the charred legs beneath his hands returned to normal. He pulled his hands back.

Cursed energy continued to circulate within him.

"All done!"

He wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, smiled, and let out a small breath.

"My legs…"

The ninja stretched out his trembling hands. He touched his own legs. There was a slight sting.

Pain?

He could feel pain again?

"Let me help you up and try walking."

Shiratori stood up and reached out a hand to him, eyes bright with anticipation.

"Walk?"

The ninja froze.

Could he actually walk now?

Looking at the hand the child offered, he hesitantly reached out his own. Using Shiratori's hand for support, he slowly climbed up from the ground. Aside from some initial awkwardness, he felt nothing out of the ordinary.

Shiratori let go of his hand. The ninja didn't notice. He was already completely overwhelmed by the ecstatic joy of having regained the use of his legs.

"I… I can walk!"

"I've recovered!"

"..."

He looked up, tears streaming down his face. Seeing his expression, Chiba let out a breath of relief, his gaze turning to Shiratori. Thankfully, he had brought the boy back.

"That's great!"

Shiratori looked at the ninja in front of him, genuine warmth in his voice.

The ninja looked at Shiratori and gripped his shoulders with both hands: "Thank you…"

His eyes shimmered with tears.

Gratitude points?

What cursed spirit is activated by gratitude points?

Shiratori's eyes swept over the many wounded ninjas nearby.

Weren't all of those his gratitude points too?

He spoke to the ninja in front of him, "No need to thank me. You're a hero who protects Ame, I'm glad I could help you."

Before the injured ninja could say more, Shiratori quickly added, "I need to save the others. I can't waste any time."

The ninja could only watch as he hurried over and knelt beside another unconscious, wounded ninja.

His eyes reddened. A hero?

So… in this child's eyes, even a nameless nobody like him was a hero?

Chiba patted him on the shoulder. "It's good that you've recovered."

"How did he do it?"

Even now, the two medical-nin couldn't believe their eyes.

"I don't know."

The other medical-nin shook his head.

"Logically speaking, even if Tsunade herself were here, those leg injuries couldn't have been restored like that."

"But he did it…" the first medical-nin muttered.

"Maybe… this child is a gift from the Sage of Six Paths to Ame."

Seeing the child start treating again, the two medical-nin hurried over to assist him. Though they couldn't help with the treatment itself, they could at least hold down the wounded to prevent them from moving and disturbing the process.

"What's his name?"

Hanzō asked as he watched the boy treating the injured with full concentration.

"Shiratori," Chiba replied solemnly.

"Shiratori…" Hanzō repeated the name.

He thought of what the medical-nin had just said. Maybe he really was sent by the sage to help Ame.

Hanzō was undoubtedly powerful, but no matter how strong he was, he couldn't stop his subordinates from getting injured. But now, Shiratori's arrival had perfectly compensated for that weakness.

With him here, Ame would become even stronger.

His chest swelled with boundless pride and emotion.

A ninja trembled as he touched his chest, feeling his heartbeat strong and steady, tears of gratitude streaming down his face.

"Thank you…"

Shiratori gave him a quick smile and moved on to collect more gratitude points from the remaining wounded ninjas. He already had Rika, Sukuna, and Choso, but the more cursed spirits, the better.

The medical-nin followed behind him and asked, "Do you want to take a break?"

After all, he was still a child. Continuous healing like this had to be exhausting.

"No need. Saving lives is more important."

Shiratori's face grew serious.

"Take a break first."

Hanzō placed a firm hand on his shoulder, his tone leaving no room for argument. He didn't want him to hurt himself from overexerting.

Shiratori shook his head and explained,

"I'm really fine. If I couldn't handle it, I would definitely stop and rest."

Stop interrupting me while I'm farming gratitude points!
