Naruto: I Draw Power Into Reality

Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Jiraiya's Return

"This punch has brought the Strength of a Hundred Seals technique to an entirely new level."

Tsunade marveled at Akaba's creativity with ninjutsu, but at the same time felt troubled. "But wouldn't this require even better chakra control?"

"You said you lacked direction—I've given you one. What happens next depends on you."

With those words from Akaba, the illusion shattered.

How Tsunade achieved it was now her own problem. This was a process she had to go through herself.

Right now, she was too impulsive. The trial-and-error research phase itself was exactly what would temper her character. If Akaba intervened, it would only interfere.

"You're absolutely right. I have direction now—the rest is up to me."

So it's just about control? I can do this!

Tsunade took a deep breath and leapt up again, continuing her experimentation.

Boom! The impact was deafening—and clearly not good enough.

At first, Tsunade still showed some signs of impatience, but after several punches, she gradually began grasping some key techniques, her chakra control becoming more stable.

Akaba hadn't expected otherwise.

What always influenced her wasn't talent—it was her personality and mindset. Once she stabilized her mentality and slowly experienced everything, results would naturally follow.

"When she gets serious, she truly looks amazing."

He stepped aside and lay back in the grass, quietly enjoying the view as if nothing else mattered.

One boom followed another, but they were getting smaller—a sure sign that Tsunade was improving fast.

She started controlling her strength, conserving unnecessary chakra consumption.

All afternoon Akaba endured continuous booming sounds until evening arrived.

"Hahahaha! Finally, I succeeded!"

With a loud laugh, Tsunade rapidly threw punch after punch into the ground, each strike carrying equal power.

"This is merely the first step. Right now, you also have another task."

After speaking, Akaba nodded toward the open field.

Although this place seemed desolate, it still belonged to Uzumaki Village territory. She had turned it into all these little craters and needed to clean them up before proceeding.

"I know. No need to remind me."

Grinning, Tsunade started pushing soil and rocks back into place.

Just as Akaba said, refined control was only the beginning.

The real trick to using the Strength of a Hundred Seals technique wasn't just control—it was focusing all that power into one spot and releasing it with perfect timing.

Moreover, true monstrous strength didn't rely solely on fists—it could be used in any part of the body.

In short, Tsunade still had a long way to go.

[Strength of a Hundred Seals Technique]

"Ah, one good thing about all your punching is—this place might actually be farmable one day."

Standing up, Akaba glanced around and teased with a smile.

Surprisingly, Tsunade didn't argue but instead remained silent for a moment before saying, "Not bad, actually. At least it shows I'm good for something."

"Hey, don't put yourself down like that."

Kicking some dirt clumps forward, Akaba pretended to help.

"Actually, you're right—after all, I can already beat Chunin. I'm much better than that idiot Jiraiya."

Tsunade laughed.

"As for Jiraiya... he really can be pretty stupid sometimes."

With apparent feeling, Akaba glanced behind him, then nodded in agreement.

A moment later—

"Darn you flat-chested hag! Talking trash about me behind my back again!"

An angry yet youthful voice came from the forest behind them. In the next second, a figure sprang out from the trees, landing in the clearing.

"Jiraiya?!!"

!

Tsunade was shocked and delighted, but quickly switched to anger.

An airport?

What a joke! I'm just not fully developed yet!

She clenched her fist, ready to punch someone, but took a deep breath and told herself, "Stay calm. Don't lose control!"

"So where exactly did your Summoning Technique take you?" Akaba asked with a smile.

"Don't even ask. Some really strange place. I was forced to learn some skills and still haven't figured anything out." Jiraiya sighed in frustration. "I actually have to go back again in a few days."

"Hmph, typical idiot behavior, but finding such a cultivation paradise already counts as once in a blue moon kind of luck. You should appreciate it."

Tsunade's words carried sharpness, but also subtle concern between the lines.

Jiraiya completely missed the subtext and instead felt angry over Tsunade's harsh words. "Luck? I don't need help from somewhere like that!"

"Enough, Jiraiya. A guy's gotta know his limits," Akaba cut in, stopping their pointless bickering. "So… you said someone forced you into training?"

"That place was called Mount Myoboku. There were these extremely terrifying toads. At first I couldn't believe there could be such powerful toads in this world!" Jiraiya recalled with lingering fear.

Then he let out a slight sigh.

Even though he was being a total pain about it, he had to admit—he'd gotten way stronger since his time on Mount Myoboku.

"Mount Myoboku, huh?"

Akaba nodded, already getting the answer he expected.

The three sacred places were all deeply mysterious. Apart from their own inhabitants, very few others knew about them. The reason Akaba did this was to prevent plot inconsistencies later on.

"Yeah, I even saw an extremely terrifying giant serpent there."

Jiraiya couldn't resist boasting proudly.

"A serpent? On Mount Myoboku filled with terrifying summoned beasts? That's almost unbelievable!" Tsunade exclaimed in surprise.

Though snakes might naturally prey upon toads, such natural advantages no longer applied when the toads became overwhelmingly strong.

"If Mount Myoboku is a sacred land for summoned beasts, then a serpent daring to appear there must come from another sacred land."

Akaba shared his "theory."

"Exactly. When I asked Gamata, it told me the serpent came from Ryuchi Cave."

"Well, Ryuchi Cave truly is a mysterious place."

Akaba sighed softly, unable to suppress a trace of envy toward the Sannin's fortune.

Ryuchi Cave, Mount Myoboku, and Shikkotsu Forest—the holy lands of the three immortals—each coincidentally encountered by one of the Sannin. Guess they were asking for it, becoming the stars of the Second Great Ninja War.

Having learned two names at once, even if corresponding references appeared in future manga chapters, it wouldn't seem too strange.

He mused inwardly.

"Oh right! Where's Orochimaru now? Now that I'm stronger, I'm gonna beat the crap outta him!"

Jiraiya grew arrogant, eager for a fight.

Originally, he wanted to provoke Tsunade, but after jumping down from the tree and seeing the large craters littering the ground, he quickly abandoned the foolish idea.

Akaba fell silent.

He hesitated whether or not to say anything. Like how Sasuke lost it when he saw how strong Naruto had become, Akaba wasn't sure how Orochimaru—who was already losing his grip mentally—would take meeting a supercharged Jiraiya.

Tsunade considered this too, choosing to remain quiet for now.

Just as the two hesitated, the Third's voice arrived, "He's on the mountain behind the Uzumaki Village. If you're determined, go ahead."

"Thank you, sensei. I'll report everything when I return."

Jiraiya leaped onto the treetops and headed toward the Rear Mountain.

"Sensei, is it really okay to let him go like this?" Tsunade said with concern.

"No harm in that. You underestimate Orochimaru still."

The Third exhaled a puff of smoke and said coolly.

"Perhaps."

Akaba didn't argue back. The future had always been uncertain. What he knew was merely one possible path. Moreover, the current Orochimaru was vastly different from his future self—it would be inappropriate to compare them directly.
