Naruto: I Beat The Villagers And Made Them Scream

Chapter 29: A Solo Battle Against Orochimaru

"Konoha ninja, long time no see."

As the dust gradually settled, a massive purple serpent coiled its body, preparing to strike. Atop its enormous head stood Orochimaru, clad in his red cloud-patterned robe, looking down at the group below with an air of superiority.

"Orochimaru..."

The presence of his summoning beast, Manda, exerted immense pressure on everyone, and every Special Jōnin present had already begun to sweat, while the Jōnin, like Seiichi Nagai and Kaze Inuzuka, remained outwardly composed. However, the sheer size of Manda made them wary.

"Orochimaru, are these the sacrifices for today?"

Manda's eerie, slit-pupiled eyes fixated on the group as it spoke. "This doesn't seem enough."

"Inoka, Saito, take everyone and retreat. Leave this to me."

Kuragami Uchiha commanded. The three tomoe in his Sharingan spun slowly as arcs of lightning flickered around his body. "Kakashi, make sure they're safe."

Kakashi lowered his mask, revealing his Sharingan: "Are you sure you can handle this alone?"

Kuragami Uchiha burst into laughter as he rapidly formed hand seals. "Do you know why, during the Third Shinobi World War, I always completed my missions solo? Lightning Style: Thunder Dragon Jutsu!"

A surge of violent lightning Chakra erupted around him, forcing Kakashi to quickly pull back with his teammates. Within mere moments, Kuragami was enveloped in a sea of electric currents, crackling and surging like a raging tide.

At the center of this storm, he looked like a god descending upon the battlefield.

Everyone suddenly recalled his legendary feat in the Third Shinobi World War, single-handedly annihilating fifteen elite Kirigakure ninja squads and earning the title of Blue Thunder Kuragami.

His devastating large-scale Lightning Style techniques had made him infamous. In this situation, staying near him would only hinder him from going all out.

"This Chakra level... It's absurd."

As Kakashi continued to lead the retreat, he couldn't help but gape at the sight before him. He had only heard rumors of Kuragami's power, as they had fought on different battlefields, but witnessing it first hand made him envious.

Among the ninja he had encountered, only his late master's wife, the Jinchūriki of the nine-tails, had Chakra reserves that could outright surpass Kuragami's.

At the heart of the storm, Kuragami let out a low roar. A massive, azure dragon made entirely of lightning erupted from the maelstrom, surging toward Orochimaru with terrifying speed.

Ancient trees in its path were instantly reduced to charred husks, blackened by the intense electricity. Even Manda, with its immense size, showed a flicker of fear in its eyes. "Orochimaru! What have you provoked?!"

"After all these years, your strength has grown even further, Kuragami-kun."

Orochimaru, standing atop Manda's head, narrowed his eyes. To be able to unleash such a devastating jutsu so casually, only his former teacher, the third Hokage in his prime, had accomplished something similar.

In other words, Kuragami Uchiha was now on par with Hiruzen at his peak. And that wasn't even accounting for his Mangekyō Sharingan, which he hadn't yet revealed.

Realizing the futility of keeping Manda on the battlefield, Orochimaru dispelled the summoning technique.

Against an opponent who specialized in wide-scale destructive jutsu, a giant summon beast would only be a massive target. As soon as he landed, he bit his thumb and slammed his hand onto the ground.

"Summoning: Triple Rashomon!"

Three massive demonic gates burst from the earth, forming a towering barrier between him and the incoming lightning dragon. The instant they collided, a deafening explosion sent shockwaves in all directions, obliterating everything in its path.

Even though Kakashi and the others had retreated several hundred meters, the impact was so strong that it made them stagger. As for Itsuki Mitokado, who had already lost an arm and had no one helping him retreat, he was directly flung into the air, crashing dozens of meters away.

He coughed up a mouthful of blood before losing consciousness.

"Damn..."

Seiichi Nagai swallowed hard. It was hard to believe that the man causing all this destruction was the same person he had been drinking with the night before.

"Is your Clan Head always this overpowered?" Ken Hyugaya asked in disbelief while looking at Saito Uchiha, who had helped cover his retreat.

"Of course! Our Clan Head is the strongest Uchiha!"

Saito's eyes gleamed with admiration.

"Ken! Stop chatting! Look at the situation at the center of the explosion!" Kakashi reminded him loudly at this time.

Ken quickly came to his senses, activated his Byakugan, and focused on the battlefield.

"Clan Head Kuragami is charging at Orochimaru! They've engaged in close combat!"

Although the Triple Rashomon had weakened the attack, the sheer force of the explosion had still forced Orochimaru back. Seizing the opportunity, Kuragami drew his blade, Swift Thunder, and dashed forward like lightning.

Orochimaru, unfazed, drew his Sword of Kusanagi, and within moments, their blades clashed multiple times.

Despite his mastery of Kenjutsu, Orochimaru found himself struggling. Kuragami's speed was too fast, and his every strike was aimed directly at vital points.

"A technique similar to the Lightning Style Chakra mode used by the Kumogakure ninja?"

Orochimaru thought. "This is troublesome."

Kuragami, meanwhile, frowned slightly. Orochimaru's body modifications allowed him to bend and contort unnaturally, making it difficult to land a clean hit.

After another rapid exchange, they split apart.

"So this is the power of the Uchiha Clan? It's indeed terrifying, as the rumor says." Orochimaru ran his long tongue across his lips.

"You're not bad yourself, Orochimaru. As expected of one of the legendary Sannin." Kuragami smirked.

"I've heard rumors that you possess the same Mangekyō Sharingan as Madara Uchiha."

Orochimaru said with intrigue. "Would you care to show me?"

A confident grin spread across Kuragami's face. "If you have the strength to make me use it, then by all means, try."

The azure lightning surrounding him flared violently as he charged toward Orochimaru once more.
