"So I said," declared the male toad on the left, "it's about time you learned how to enter Sage Mode on your own, little Jiraiya!"

"That's right!" the female toad on the right added, clearly exasperated. "You always have to summon us manually."

"Well!" Jiraiya laughed. "Compared to the two of you, I'm just a baby. Please, lend me your strength."

Pain muttered coldly, "Are those the two toads that were so difficult to summon? No... my senior has become pathetic."

"Huh? Little Jiraiya, where's the one with the Rinnegan?" the female toad asked, scanning the area.

"He's concealed himself with some kind of transparent summoning creature," Jiraiya explained.

"Sou ka!" the male toad exclaimed. "A chameleon, perhaps?"

The female toad formed a hand seal. "Sensing Technique!"

Her tongue extended from her mouth and began sniffing around like a hound.

"Found it!" she shouted, and her tongue lashed out rapidly, releasing a cloud of corrosive mist.

"So fast!" Pain was stunned. Before he could react, the tongue had wrapped around him tightly eleven times.

"Husband!" the female toad cried out.

"Water Style: Wild Water Wave!" The male toad unleashed a high-pressure jet of water from his mouth, slicing the invisible chameleon in two.

Chameleon blood splattered into the air and vanished in a puff of smoke.

"Those eyes..." the female toad said solemnly.

"No doubt about it," the male toad nodded. "They're just like the legends say."

Pain stared at Jiraiya and the two toads with an expressionless gaze. "Summoning Technique."

With a bang, the Animal Path and Human Path of the Six Paths of Pain appeared before Jiraiya.

"Nani!?" Jiraiya and the toads were stunned. "Is the Rinnegan that common now?! All of them have it!"

"This is getting out of hand!" Jiraiya yelled. "From now on, I'll use Senjutsu instead of standard ninjutsu! Witness the heroics of Jiraiya the Gallant..."

Wham! The two toads punched Jiraiya in the head simultaneously. "Stop yelling in our ears!"

Pain didn't speak.

Whoosh!

The Human Path dashed forward, swinging a punch at Jiraiya.

Jiraiya countered immediately, landing a powerful kick that sent the Human Path flying into the wall with a massive crash.

When the dust settled, the Human Path's face was contorted, his nose twisted from the impact.

"How irritating," the female toad grumbled. "Husband!"

"Hai!" the male toad responded, inhaling deeply in sync with Jiraiya.

"Sage Art: Goemon!"

The male toad exhaled Wind Release, Jiraiya spewed toad oil, and the female toad unleashed Fire Release. The three elements fused into a massive, scorching torrent that surged toward Pain.

The Preta Path stepped forward, pushing out both hands. A vortex of chakra absorption erupted from his palms, sucking in the fiery oil wave.

When the smoke cleared, the immense toad oil attack had been completely neutralized.

"Nani?!" Jiraiya and the toads were wide-eyed with disbelief.

"This guy is hiding more than we thought," the male toad said gravely.

"Alright then," Jiraiya said, removing his clogs and crouching against the wall. His limbs thickened and transformed into toad-like flippers. "Let's take this to close quarters."

"Super Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan!"

Jiraiya formed a massive Rasengan and lunged at Pain.

The Preta Path intercepted him, placing his hands on the Rasengan. A shimmering aura appeared around him, and the giant Rasengan began shrinking rapidly, absorbed before their eyes.

"Behind you!" the male toad warned.

The Human Path appeared behind Jiraiya, aiming to strike.

The male toad quickly tossed a smoke bomb, engulfing the area in a thick haze.

"There's the opening!" Jiraiya reappeared behind the Human Path in a flash and launched a punch.

Smack!

"Nani?!" Jiraiya was stunned. "You blocked my Sage Mode strike without even looking?!"

Jiraiya quickly shifted positions, appearing behind the Animal Path. "Sage Art: Hair Needle Senbon!"

Jiraiya lay on the ground, his white hair extending into countless sharp needles that fired at the Animal Path.

But the Animal Path responded by summoning a massive stone panda, shielding itself from the barrage.

"Little Jiraiya, this isn't good," the male toad said grimly. "They seem to share vision. With ninjutsu ineffective and being outnumbered three to one, you need to retreat."

"Understood!" Jiraiya nodded and vanished in a puff of smoke.

The Animal Path looked around, then stared at the nearby pipe. "Did he escape through there?"

Meanwhile, Jiraiya was running swiftly through the underground tunnels.

"Why are we running?" the female toad asked impatiently.

"To analyze the Six Paths and formulate a plan," the male toad answered.

Jiraiya frowned. "Why do all of them have the Rinnegan? Who the hell is this Pain guy?!"

"Ninjutsu's ineffective, and taijutsu isn't reliable either. !" the male toad called out.

"No!" the female toad blushed. "We're too old for this! I don't want to sing that duet with you again!"

"Huh?" Jiraiya raised an eyebrow.

"To use our powerful genjutsu, we need to perform the Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant," the male toad explained. "It takes time."

"Then quit stalling!" Jiraiya snapped. "This isn't the time to be shy!"

"Listen!" the male toad called again.

"Fine, fine!" the female toad huffed. "Let's begin."

"Guwa~ Guwa~"

"Aaaaah~~"

Jiraiya thought to himself, Is this really a genjutsu chant or just random toad screeching?!

Hearing the eerie melody, the three Paths of Pain rushed toward them.

"Too late!" Jiraiya shouted. "Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant!"

The eyes of the three Paths trembled. When they came to, they found themselves paralyzed inside the illusionary space.

"Brother Jiraiya," the Animal Path said in disbelief, "I didn't expect you to use genjutsu."

"Didn't your master teach you to never underestimate an enemy?" Jiraiya smirked. "It's over."

Jiraiya impaled all three on the ground with his blade.

He turned away, walking slowly out of the passage.

Suddenly, a voice whispered, "Our teacher did teach us not to underestimate anyone, Brother Jiraiya."

"Nani?!" Jiraiya whipped around.

Bang! Jiraiya's arm was struck, pain shooting through his nerves. He landed hard on the shallow water.

"Little Jiraiya, your right arm!" the female toad screamed.

"I know!" Jiraiya grunted, forcing himself up.

"What's going on?!" the male toad asked, alarmed.

"I don't know!" Jiraiya panted. "They're different from the three I just defeated!"

At that moment, the full Six Paths of Pain emerged from the shadows.

"The Six Paths of Pain...!" Jiraiya exclaimed, his heart pounding. "Again?! All of them have Rinnegan!"

"Nani?!" The toads were horrified. "Little Jiraiya, look at their faces!"

Jiraiya's eyes locked onto the Deva Path.

"You... you're Yahiko!"

"What's going on?!" Jiraiya roared. "Didn't you say Yahiko was dead?!"

"What the hell is going on with you all?!" Jiraiya shouted in rage.

The Deva Path stared at him with cold detachment.

"We are Pain..."

"We are God."
