Naruto: I am Uchiha Fugaku

Shimura Danzō suddenly raised his head to look at Shimura Naoya, clearly surprised that Naoya would make such a deduction.

His voice sank slightly as he asked,

"The one who acted today and captured me was Uchiha Yakumi, a subordinate of Uchiha Fugaku. No one else helped—he did it alone."

After briefly organizing his thoughts, Shimura Naoya replied:

"He did it alone…?"

Danzō reached out and tapped his cane, a hint of surprise in his tone.

Shimura Naoya might only have average strength, but he was still at the level of an elite jōnin.

For Uchiha Yakumi to capture him alone meant Yakumi's strength was significantly above Naoya's.

By that logic, Yakumi's strength might already be close to Kage-level.

"Yes, just him. I estimate Uchiha Yakumi is already nearing Kage-level strength," Naoya said, his tone growing serious.

"The Uchiha are a proud clan. Even if Fugaku is the clan head, if he didn't have the power to suppress Yakumi, there's no way he'd have earned Yakumi's respect."

"But Yakumi has loyally assisted Fugaku for over a decade and shows him utmost respect. That suggests Fugaku is even stronger than Yakumi—very likely already at Kage-level."

Shimura Danzō furrowed his brows. He had to admit, Naoya's reasoning made a lot of sense.

"You're right. I did underestimate Uchiha Fugaku. If we had followed through with the previous plan, the chance of failure would've indeed been quite high."

His tone suddenly shifted, his eyes growing cold and murderous.

"However, if Uchiha Fugaku really has reached Kage-level, then he absolutely must be eliminated. A hostile Kage-level threat is far too dangerous to leave unchecked."

"I will personally take charge of this matter. He must be killed in one strike there can be no chance for him to survive."

As he spoke, his tone turned icy, and the killing intent around him began to surge uncontrollably.

After so many years of staying his hand, this time... he would act himself!

"Yes, Lord Danzō."

Shimura Naoya let out a breath of relief and quickly responded.

As long as he didn't have to make the move himself, he was fine with anything.

"Go."

Traveling underground, he arrived at the residence of the Hoshino Clan.

Thanks to the Mayfly Technique's ability to conceal his chakra, he infiltrated the home of the Hoshino clan head, Hoshino Atsumi, without alerting a single person.

Once inside, he moved quietly and soon located Hoshino Atsumi in a bedroom.

She wore a short, black spaghetti-strap nightdress that revealed her long, slender legs. The low-cut front exposed a significant amount of pale skin.

She hadn't gone to sleep yet. Instead, she was sitting against the headboard, reading through a document—radiating the aura of a strong, capable woman.

To become a clan leader as a woman, she clearly had the strength and means to deserve that title.

Uchiha Fugaku didn't attack her. Instead, he silently withdrew using the Mayfly Technique.

Hoshino Atsumi was an elite jōnin in her prime. While not Kage-level, in any of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, she would still be regarded as a top-tier combatant.

Fugaku wasn't entirely confident he could kill her without causing any disturbance.

To ensure success, he opted for a safer approach.

He left her bedroom and went to another room.

There, lying fast asleep, was Hoshino Atsumi's husband—Hoshino Sō.

Emerging silently from underground, Fugaku stood at Sō's bedside.

In his hand appeared a sharp wooden branch. He covered Sō's mouth—and struck.

Squelch—

The sharp branch pierced Sō's heart, killing him instantly.

Because his mouth was covered, he didn't even get the chance to scream.

"Disguise Technique—"

After killing Sō, Fugaku's appearance began to change rapidly—soon taking on Hoshino Sō's exact likeness.

Once confirmed, he opened the bedroom door and walked to Atsumi's room.

"Atsumi, open the door."

Fugaku mimicked Sō's usual tone and speech patterns, based on his prior research.

"What is it?"

Dressed in sleepwear, Atsumi opened the door, her voice cold and distant.

From the fact that they slept in separate rooms, it was clear their relationship wasn't great.

She had only married Sō for the power behind him—and it was precisely with that backing that she became the clan head.

"Uh, I… I wanted to…"

"'Sō'" gaze lingered on her figure, his eyes burning with desire and anticipation.

"I'm not in the mood tonight."

Atsumi rejected him coldly and was about to close the door—

Swish—

Just then, Fugaku—still disguised as Sō—unleashed his Mangekyō Sharingan, casting True Genjutsu on her.

Atsumi never expected an ambush from "Sō." Even as an elite jōnin, she didn't have time to react before falling into the genjutsu.

Moments later, without alerting anyone, Uchiha Fugaku once again disappeared using the Mayfly Technique.

Inside the bedroom, Hoshino Atsumi's body was now riddled with holes—including her head.

She was completely dead.

Cause of death: Mokuton – Cutting Technique.

But Fugaku wasn't finished.

After leaving the Hoshino residence, he made his way toward the Takasaki Clan, another family closely tied to the Shimura clan.

Tonight, he didn't plan to stop at just killing Hoshino Atsumi.

His remaining targets were Takasaki Kazushi and Iwasaki Yū.

His goal was to eliminate the clan heads of all three families closely allied with the Shimura in one night.

The reason for doing it all at once was clear—if only one died, the other two would be alerted, and the chances of success would decrease.
