Chapter 127: Chapter 127: Bloodline Essence

Nothing escapes your eyes anymore.

You're even willing to spend some time carefully analyzing the mysteries hidden within this bloodline—something you once never bothered to do.

And now, when you think back to how you used to absorb bloodlines… all you can feel is how crude and barbaric it was.

You look down at Uchiha Itachi, who is panting like a dying person, stripped of everything he once relied on. You can't help but let out a silent, mocking chuckle.

You give him a couple of light kicks with your foot, then smile as you say:

"Where's your pride now? Your dignity? What about those loved ones you swore to protect? And your so-called Uchiha resolve—where did that go?

Get up! Don't lie there!"

〖6:00 PM〗

Torturing this guy is starting to bore you. After gouging out Itachi's Mangekyō Sharingan, you're about to leave and take care of the next problem.

But just as you turn away, Itachi manages to use the last of his chakra to summon a flock of crows using the blood smeared on the ground.

"Hand it over!"

You merely flick your finger—and with that simple motion, you single out the crow implanted with Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan, manipulating the blood in its body to extract the Kotoamatsukami Sharingan from its eye socket.

Though you've gained an extra Mangekyō Sharingan, Itachi's final move still leaves you deeply disappointed.

Any thought you had of sparing his life, letting him live as a crippled husk to watch everything he cherished slowly fade away, vanishes completely.

And that reminds you of the little "gift" you had earlier stored away in the wardrobe along with Fugaku and his wife.

"You like sweets, don't you? Well, I've got just the thing!"

You walk into the Uchiha patriarch's residence and extract the bloodlines of Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Mikoto one after the other, sealing each in clean medical vials along with Itachi's.

Then, you create two Shadow Clones, and from a scroll, pour out an enormous bundle of sugarcane.

One clone picks up a stalk of sugarcane.

The other pries open Itachi's mouth and shoves it in.

"For someone who was given a chance, you sure didn't treasure it!"

...

You lift your robes and step over the blood-soaked ground, ignoring the Grand Elder and other hawkish Uchiha loyalists groveling at your feet.

All you leave behind is a disemboweled Uchiha Itachi and a crowd of cowards who didn't even have the courage to fight you, yet still believed their faction could somehow protect the clan.

〖7:00 PM〗

You realize that using the Mangekyō Sharingan does indeed consume some Ocular Power. Though the cost is minimal, your Uzumaki bloodline allows for slow recovery over time.

Still, it's enough. The six tomoe form in your normal state alone already grants power beyond the Mangekyō Sharingan—especially in terms of sensing White Zetsu or spatial fluctuations.

"Tch… what a pity."

You focus your senses, then shake your head.

Obito must've sensed the mission had failed—he's already made a run for it.

But revenge… doesn't end so easily.

In less than a minute, you notice something's off and instantly slaughter every Root ninja surrounding the Uchiha compound.

With everyone dead, no word will get out.

You wander alone through the curfew-bound streets of Konoha.

〖8:00 PM〗

You activate your Sharingan and extend your right hand, aiming at a ninja guarding one of the secret entrances.

With a squeeze—

Boom!

The man bursts into a splatter of flesh and blood on the spot.

"Damn… killing with eye techniques like that really does eat away at my Ocular Power."

You deactivate your Mangekyō and enter the underground Root passage beneath the Hokage Monument. Then, you create several clones to block off every exit from Root.

As you advance, you eliminate everyone you come across—treating it as practice to reacquaint yourself with Fire Release techniques.

Following your memory of Root's layout, you launch a blitz straight through, burning down the training grounds, intel room, and experimental zones with wave after wave of Fire Release.

You take the opportunity to plunder a host of experimental records and valuable samples, storing them in sealing scrolls.

After killing Danzo's personal guard, led by Aburame Ryoma, you even manage to pocket the Root version of the Scroll of Seals.

You hand everything over to a clone for safekeeping, then continue forward—traveling light, carrying only your Black-Blade Tachi—as you open the door to Danzo's secret office.

In such a cramped space, Wind Release is nearly useless. And Danzo, missing an arm, quickly succumbs to your sword techniques.

Still, you don't finish him off. You fear he might destroy Shisui's Sharingan as a last resort, treating it like some sort of extra life.

Instead, while copying his swordsmanship, you slowly draw him into a Genjutsu.

Once you have his eye, you use the illusion to force Danzo to write down his Wind Release training insights.

Back in the real world, the ever-cowardly Danzo even offers you his clan's prized large-scale Summoning Beast—Baku.

Now that is a surprise bonus.

A summon capable of dispersing a second-stage Susanoo? No way you're letting that go to waste.

You bind it with a Sharingan-based contract to ensure its loyalty and erase the Shimura clan's inherited contract.

Looking down at Danzo—now collapsed, weakly begging—you're suddenly overcome by mercy.

You decide not to kill him.

Instead, you sever all four of his limbs.

You grind the bones at each joint with a ninja blade to prevent any chance of regeneration, then use Healing Jutsu to quickly seal the wounds—keeping him alive without risking blood loss.

Still, there's always the risk he might starve or die of dehydration.

You tap into the Uzumaki Clan's sensory abilities and scan the surroundings.

Found it!

You spot a thick sewage pipe in the corner.

Using Earth Release, you dig a pit just deep enough to leave Danzo's nose above the surface, then hurl a kunai to puncture the pipe.

A flood of dark brown sludge surges out, carrying an unidentifiable stench as it fills the pit.

You toss Danzo in and swiftly cover your nose as you flee the scene.

Even your advanced sensory perception can't handle something this foul. Best leave it for Danzo to savor alone.

〖9:00 PM〗

You wipe the sweat from your forehead as you gaze down at the two-meter-high pile of corpses beneath your feet.

You place two drops of milky-white Bloodline Essence into a special container you found in the Root lab, seal it tightly, and store it in your inner garments alongside three sealed Uchiha bloodline vials.

Then, you finally deactivate your Mangekyō. For the first time, you notice a slight decline in your vision.

Thankfully, your Uzumaki bloodline is already beginning to heal the damage.

You estimate that after two months of rest, your eyes should fully recover.

The reason for this significant drain on your Ocular Power…

Is because you realized you could extract something known as Bloodline Essence from the bodies of these Root operatives.

Sure, none of these people had any particularly remarkable Kekkei Genkai.

But gathered together, and refined using your eye techniques, their diluted bloodlines could be compressed into the purest essence of all—

Milky-white drops.

Unlike directly extracted Uchiha bloodlines—which can be used to strengthen your own or grant bloodlines to those without—

Bloodline Essence boosts your chakra reserves and fundamental physical attributes without tainting or diluting your existing bloodline.

It even helps your body naturally refine and enhance its own bloodline over time.

Like a universal elixir, it's useful for just about anything...
