Naruto: Eat this fruit and we will be brothers

Chapter 15: Kankurō’s Elemental Transformation

Wind meets fire—unstoppable destruction!

As a traditional Wind Release user, Qi Hai had always envisioned pairing Temari's abilities with the Flame-Flame Fruit.

"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"

Temari quickly weaved hand seals, releasing a C-rank Wind Release jutsu.

Normally, such a jutsu was limited in power and used primarily to push back enemies.

But with her eyes sharp and focused, Temari punched forward with her flame-covered fist, yelling, "Fire Fist!"

When fire met wind, it roared to life. The resulting explosion of flames burned an entire patch of sand into scorched black glass.

The heat was palpable even from a distance.

"That's no less powerful than a B-rank fire jutsu! Maybe even stronger!" Kankurō exclaimed, wide-eyed.

Encouraged by her newfound power, Temari moved on to a B-rank Wind Release technique.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Waves!"

Multiple slicing wind blades swept forward. Temari followed this up with several Fire Fist punches.

The flames surged and expanded into a massive, dragon-like inferno, scorching everything in its path.

It was a terrifying sight. The very air seemed to ignite, creating a hellish wall of flame.

Gaara watched in stunned silence. "This power… it's incredible."

Temari's excitement quickly turned into disbelief as she examined her hands. "This is… my ability?"

For a moment, the flames around her hands wavered as exhaustion set in. She turned to Qi Hai, her expression sheepish.

"It's normal," Qi Hai explained, smiling. "Using a Devil Fruit drains physical energy. Your body isn't strong enough yet to handle prolonged use."

Temari nodded in understanding.

Meanwhile, Kankurō was already fidgeting with impatience.

"Qi Hai-sensei! What about me?!"

His shamelessness irritated Gaara, who gave him a cold glare. "Disgraceful…"

But Qi Hai simply chuckled and reached into his pouch.

Pulling out another fruit, he held up a bright green Devil Fruit adorned with tree-ring patterns.

Kankurō's eyes sparkled like stars.

"This is a Logia-type Devil Fruit, the Wood-Wood Fruit!"

"Logia!"

The siblings froze at the word, knowing how rare and powerful Logia Fruits were.

Its green color and intricate patterns made it look mysterious and alluring.

"Wood-Wood Fruit?" Temari asked curiously. "Does it grant wood-style abilities? I heard only the First Hokage of Konoha could use Wood Release. He was called the 'God of Shinobi!'"

Gaara and Kankurō nodded; even they had heard stories of the legendary Hashirama Senju.

Qi Hai shrugged. "I don't know all the abilities this fruit holds. But my instincts tell me it has immense potential. Kankurō, it's yours!"

For a moment, Kankurō was stunned.

But as he processed the words, his excitement exploded. "Seriously?! It's mine?!"

Gaara silently moved closer to Qi Hai, his piercing gaze revealing his unspoken desire for the fruit.

Kankurō didn't miss the movement. Sensing his younger brother's frustration, he smirked and leaned closer to Qi Hai, gloating as he grabbed the fruit.

He didn't care if Gaara was unhappy. Finally, I might have the power to surpass him.

Eagerly, Kankurō peeled the fruit and bit into a piece.

Immediately, his face contorted with disgust. "Ugh! This is awful!"

Temari and Gaara exchanged knowing looks.

"Why do these fruits taste so bad?" Temari muttered.

Qi Hai shrugged. "It's a trade-off. The nastier the fruit, the stronger the power!"

Minutes passed, but nothing seemed to happen.

Impatient, Temari urged, "Try to transform into an element, Kankurō! Elementalize!"

Kankurō nodded and focused, his face growing red as he strained.

Nothing.

"Are you… even trying?" Temari asked, rolling her eyes.

Even Gaara crossed his arms, looking unimpressed.

Finally, Kankurō's body began to change.

Small mushrooms sprouted from his arms, head, and legs.

They wobbled in the breeze, resembling playful decorations.

The sight left everyone speechless.

Temari was the first to break the silence. "Pfft… HAHAHAHA!!!" She doubled over with laughter, clutching her stomach.

Gaara smirked slightly, muttering, "Wood Release: Mushroom Jutsu."

Even Qi Hai struggled to keep a straight face. "That… wasn't what I expected."

Kankurō, meanwhile, looked ready to cry. "Why does this always happen to me?!"

In the midst of their antics, Qi Hai plucked one of the mushrooms from Kankurō's arm and examined it.

Something about it felt strange—almost magical.

Without hesitation, Qi Hai tossed it into his mouth and chewed thoughtfully.

As he swallowed, his eyes widened. "Interesting…"
