Chapter 147: Nagato's Power!

"Shinra Tensei!"

As Naruto and his shadow clones approached a certain distance, Nagato softly murmured.

In an instant, all the clones dissipated with a series of puffs of white smoke.

Naruto's real body, now exposed, was flung backward. Just as he was about to hit the ground, a massive orange hand appeared behind him, catching him and preventing him from falling.

This was one of the benefits of being a perfect Jinchūriki!

In moments of danger, the Tailed Beast inside would step in to help.

"Thanks, Kurama," Naruto said, before turning his serious gaze toward Nagato.

This guy was covered in tubes yet could still exhibit such overwhelming power. It was clear this was going to be a tough battle.

Naruto contemplated his next move. If he charged straight in, Nagato could easily repel him with a single technique. But if he kept his distance, many of his techniques would be useless.

This dilemma left Naruto feeling frustrated.

Just then, Nagato made the first move. Seeing his opponent hesitate, he shouted, "Banshō Ten'in!"

In an instant, a terrifying gravitational pull yanked Naruto toward him.

Naruto's pupils contracted sharply—his body was completely out of control, being pulled straight at Nagato!

Even Sasuke, who was nearby, was caught in the technique's range.

Seeing himself and Sasuke being dragged in, Naruto gritted his teeth and quickly began forming a Rasengan in his right hand.

"Naruto, don't lose focus!" Sasuke called out, his eyes locked on Nagato.

"Amaterasu!" Sasuke shouted, unleashing his Mangekyō Sharingan ability. A burst of black flames ignited on Nagato's body.

Nagato frowned and quickly countered with another Shinra Tensei, repelling the black flames instantly.

Sasuke was stunned. Wasn't Amaterasu supposed to burn anything it touched? How could this man nullify it so easily?

Because of the premature activation of Shinra Tensei, Naruto and Sasuke were not flung as far away and didn't suffer much damage.

However, before they could regain their footing, a chameleon summoned by Nagato suddenly wrapped Sasuke tightly with its long tongue.

Seeing this, Nagato raised his left hand, aiming directly at Sasuke.

Naruto, intending to help, rushed forward—only to have a three-headed hellhound summon appear before him.

Without hesitation, Naruto smashed a Rasengan into the hellhound.

Boom! The hellhound exploded into pieces—only to regenerate into three separate three-headed hellhounds.

"What kind of technique is this?" Naruto muttered, momentarily stunned.

Meanwhile, two mechanical arms sprouted from Nagato's right arm, one lunging toward Sasuke's neck.

Sasuke prepared to unleash Amaterasu again, but before he could aim, one of the mechanical arms seized his neck.

The other mechanical arm then shot toward Naruto, grabbing him by the neck as well.

"Naruto! Sasuke!" Jiraiya shouted in alarm, his voice filled with worry.

But Konan kept him pinned with a relentless barrage of white paper attacks, making it impossible for him to escape and assist.

"This girl has grown a lot," Jiraiya thought, deciding to take her seriously so he could quickly defeat her and help Naruto and Sasuke.

As Nagato held the two tightly, yet another mechanical arm emerged from his body—this one equipped with a massive cannon.

The cannon pointed directly at Sasuke, causing Naruto's eyes to widen in fear.

"No! Sasuke, watch out!" Naruto yelled.

Sasuke didn't waste time. A layer of purple chakra armor enveloped his body—it was Susano'o!

Boom!

The cannon fired, but the attack barely scratched Susano'o, surprising Nagato.

He hadn't anticipated his opponent would have Susano'o in their arsenal!

Naruto let out a sigh of relief, thinking Sasuke's life was safe for now.

However, Nagato, realizing his cannon was ineffective, clapped his hands together, forming a black sphere in his palms.

"What is that technique?" Naruto and Sasuke wondered as they struggled against the mechanical arms holding them.

With Kurama's help, Naruto managed to break free, an orange chakra arm crushing the mechanical one. Sasuke, shielded by Susano'o, also freed himself and escaped the chameleon's grasp.

But Nagato threw the black sphere into the air, and the moment it floated up, a terrifying gravitational force pulled Naruto and Sasuke toward it.

Sasuke's Susano'o was shattered under the intense pull.

"What kind of jutsu is this?" Naruto shouted.

"We need to destroy that technique, or we'll be crushed to death!" Jiraiya said grimly, staring at the black sphere in the sky.

If they got sucked in, they'd be buried alive under an avalanche of debris!
