Chapter 151: Chapter 146: Obito's Resentment

Chapter 146: Obito's Resentment

Upon receiving Obito's notification, Nagato wasted no time and headed straight to Naruto and the others' location.

When Nagato arrived and saw Naruto, Kakashi, Sasuke, and Jiraiya, he was visibly stunned. The number of opponents was unexpectedly high.

Jiraiya, seeing Konan and Nagato, froze momentarily.

"Aren't these two my former students? I thought they had already passed away. How could they appear here?"

"Konan? Nagato? Where's Yahiko? What happened to Yahiko?" Jiraiya asked, his tone tinged with urgency.

Naruto, however, looked at Jiraiya in surprise. Why did the Pervy Sage know these two people? Could they be acquaintances from his past?

But faced with Jiraiya's question, neither Konan nor Nagato responded. Instead, Konan waved her right hand, and countless paper shuriken flew toward Jiraiya.

Without saying a word, the battle commenced.

Kakashi, seeing this, intended to step in to assist. However, at that moment, a man appeared before him.

Seeing the figure in front of him, Kakashi froze, about to speak.

The man muttered coldly, "Kamui."

A black vortex appeared, and Kakashi was dragged into the Kamui dimension by Obito.

"Obito, you're really alive!" Kakashi murmured in disbelief. He couldn't fathom that everything he had denied and suppressed in his heart was real.

All this time, he had numbed himself, convincing himself that Obito was dead. But deep down, he had always hoped his closest friend was still alive.

And now, with his friend standing before him, how could he not feel overwhelmed?

"Shut up! I'm not Obito! You… you killed Rin!" Obito roared, his Sharingan glowing crimson with rage.

To him, Rin was everything. Yet, the person he trusted most had killed her!

No matter the truth, the fact remained that Kakashi had killed Rin. To Obito, this was an unforgivable betrayal. Kakashi had failed to protect Rin.

"I'm sorry, I—" Kakashi began, but before he could finish, Obito lunged at him with a kunai, aiming to stab him.

Kakashi dodged instinctively, unwilling to fight his old friend. But Obito, filled with hatred, was determined to defeat Kakashi and make him regret everything.

"Obito, wait! You—damn it!" Seeing how unyielding Obito was, Kakashi had no choice but to engage him.

As the battle raged on, Kakashi's right hand instinctively charged with Raikiri. His Sharingan spun rapidly.

Seeing this, Obito rushed forward, deliberately allowing Kakashi's Raikiri to pierce his chest.

"Obito! You!"

"I am not Obito! This heart… it's empty! You killed Rin!" Obito roared again, glaring at Kakashi.

With White Zetsu's enhancements, losing a heart was a minor inconvenience for him. But the Rin he had lost would never return.

Only through the Infinite Tsukuyomi, only in such a world, could Rin be alive again!

"Obito…" Kakashi dispelled his Raikiri, trying to speak again, but Obito launched another fierce attack.

Rin's death had clearly dealt a devastating blow to Obito.

Once a failure in both ninjutsu and taijutsu, Obito was now overpowering Kakashi.

With Kakashi and Jiraiya occupied, Naruto and Sasuke faced Nagato at his full strength.

Realizing the severity of the situation, Sasuke decided it was time to act.

"Naruto, hold him off for a bit!" Sasuke said as he retreated and took out a scroll.

This was a contingency left by his father, Fugaku Uchiha, combined with Ishihara's secret technique. It would allow him to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan rapidly.

Against such a formidable foe, the Mangekyō Sharingan might be their only hope. The oppressive aura Nagato emitted was overwhelming.

"Got it!" Naruto replied, stepping forward to confront Nagato.

"I'll handle this guy myself!"

"Naruto! Use my power! This guy is incredibly strong; you're no match for him!" Kurama's voice suddenly echoed in Naruto's mind. Clearly, the Nine-Tails had sensed the formidable presence of Nagato.

But Naruto remained confident.

"Relax, Kurama. If things get tough, you can step in!"

Having bonded with Kurama over time, Naruto had not only learned the Nine-Tails' true name but also formed a friendship with him.

"Fine. Just be careful," Kurama said, deciding not to interfere for now. If things went south, he could always step in and take control.

Did they not understand the power of a perfect Jinchuriki? Did they not know what it meant to wield the full strength of the Nine-Tails?

If Kurama chose to help, Naruto's power would surpass Kage-level, and he could even contend with Six Paths-level opponents.

As Kurama indulged in self-praise, Naruto charged toward Nagato.

While running, Naruto formed hand seals, preparing one of his signature techniques.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

With multiple bursts of smoke, countless Naruto clones appeared, charging at Nagato together.

It almost seemed like Naruto had already secured victory.
