Naruto: Chakra System

Kakashi waited patiently. Fuu and Naruto were engrossed in their own minds, trying to find a way to prove that their desire for a genuine friendship with their respective Bijuu was real. He waited... and waited... and waited.

After what felt like ages, Kakashi stood in his place, his arms crossed. To his left, behind Naruto, was the immense cage where Kurama was faking his nap. To his right, behind Fuu, and was Chōmei's cage. He sighed heavily, a gust of air escaping his lungs. 'These two are sealed in such colossal cages, yet they can't figure it out. What can I expect from these two loud-mouthed kids, anyway?'

Chōmei, sensing Kakashi's frustration, chuckled lightly. The sound did not go unnoticed by Kakashi, who sighed again and muttered, "Alright, laugh. It's not like I'm the one in that cage."

Several minutes passed. Naruto scratched his blonde hair, and Fuu grabbed her green hair tightly in frustration, unable to think of a solution. "Haaa, can't you give us a hint?" Fuu asked Kakashi with puppy-dog eyes. Kakashi rolled his eyes before staring blankly at Fuu, who quickly understood the meaning of his silent gaze.

Fuu then moved forward toward Chōmei's cage. "Whatever it is you want, I don't know, but at least I can help you be free from this cage." As she spoke, she placed her hand on the bars, curiously looking for a lock.

She looked up at the giant beetle and asked, "...But how can I actually open it? Does it not open, does this mean I can't set you free?"

Fuu's sudden action surprised both Kakashi and Chōmei. Kakashi hadn't expected Fuu, or even Naruto, to make such a choice so quickly. While unsealing and setting a Bijuu free from their cage isn't a direct proof of friendship, it shows that the host trusts them enough not to betray them by getting out of their body and killing them.

However, Kakashi knew Fuu wasn't aware of all these details. He looked at Naruto, who was now also having the same thoughts, looking at the giant cage that held Kurama. Kakashi nodded with satisfaction, believing it was time to start explaining things.

"Naruto, Fuu," Kakashi called out to them, getting their attention. "Do you really want to set them free from this cage?"

Naruto and Fuu nodded without a second thought. Kakashi also nodded. Chōmei chuckled, and Kurama slightly opened his red eyes, a movement the Genin missed but Kakashi didn't. Chōmei had known from the start that Kurama wasn't sleeping.

"Good. However, would you still do that if you knew that you could die?" Kakashi asked, his voice low and serious, forcing them to reconsider.

Naruto and Fuu were taken aback by Kakashi's revelation. They asked in unison, "W-will we die if we set them free?"

Kakashi shook his head. "Not directly. Even if they are free from this cage, you won't die. However, with this seal and this cage gone, these Bijuu will have the freedom to get out of your body whenever they see fit. If they do, you will definitely die."

Naruto and Fuu gasped slightly before looking toward their respective Bijuu. Fuu asked, "Hey, will you really do that if I remove this cage for you?"

Chōmei chuckled. "No, Fuu. And this is enough proof. I accept your Friendship, we are friends from now on, Fuu."

Hearing Chōmei, Fuu was delighted. She smiled widely and said, "Then I will quickly remove this seal!" but she paused and asked, "But I don't know how; there's no lock here."

Chōmei then looked at Kakashi and said, "You... you know quite a lot about us. Then you also definitely know how to remove this seal too, right?"

Under Chōmei's words, Kakashi chuckled and nodded before explaining to Fuu, "To remove this cage, you just need to remove that symbol seal where the lock usually would be. Remove it, and you can set it free. However..."

Kakashi paused before continuing. "Remember, if that Tailed-Beast gets out of your body, you can die. Think about it again."

Fuu nodded in understanding, then looked at Chōmei. "We're friends now, right? But I don't know your real name yet."

"Oh, my real name is Chōmei," Chōmei replied casually. This, however, was enough to break Kurama's feigned slumber.

"CHŌMEI, HOW CAN YOU TELL YOUR NAME TO A HUMAN SO EASILY?!" Kurama finally rose up, ceasing his fake sleep. He roared angrily at Chōmei while also glaring at Kakashi, Fuu, and finally at Naruto.

"Looks like your Bijuu finally woke up, Naruto. You can have a chat with him too," Kakashi said, casually ignoring Kurama's outburst.

"Brother, don't be angry. Didn't you see all this? Fuu isn't like Hashirama and Madara." Chōmei spoke calmly despite Kurama's angry roar.

"SO WHAT?! THEY ARE ALL HUMANS! AND THREE OF THEM AT THAT!" Kurama roared. Meanwhile, Kakashi and Chōmei were not affected by him, but Naruto and Fuu were looking at Kurama with wide eyes.

They had only been speaking with Chōmei until now, who, aside from Kakashi, they didn't know was the most easygoing of all the Nine Tailed-Beasts. They believed that all Tail-Beasts are same as Chōmei.

However Kurama prove their expectations wrong, who is more hot-headed than any other Tailed-Beast; perhaps only Shukaku could match his fiery nature.

Naruto was even slightly disappointed. He made a strange faces as he looked at Kurama, who was scraping his massive claws against the floor and flicking his tails back and forth in agitation.

Naruto suddenly looked at Kakashi. "Wait, Kakashi-sensei, did that... what did it say it's name, Chōmei, mention Hashirama? Isn't that the name of the First Hokage?"

Kakashi was momentarily dumbfounded. He didn't expect Naruto to ask about anything other than Kurama at this point. He questioned Naruto, "Naruto, you don't even know the correct name of our nation, and you barely know all Kanji symbols, yet you correctly remember the name of the First Hokage?"

"Hahaha..." Naruto laughed while don't understand if it's a praise or insult, scratching his head.

I understand from writing last few chapters, that Longer chapters aren't something I should do. But I didn't even wrote any short chapters till now anyways. Even before, every chapter of this story has on average 900 words, aside from 2 or 3 chapters. But these 1,300-1,500 words are too much for me in each chapter.

The only thing that makes them seems short is because pacing is slow, which at start was different thing, but later is because of plot. I want to make explained things, few key points, so that later it didn't seem that key characters become strong way too quickly, so slow understanding pacing is important.

So, I will be writing it same way, I did initially, as that is a good way for me to write as well, plus I know I made many mistakes, not about grammar but story points, which I didn't reasearch thoroughly because they wouldn't effect the plot much, anyways.

And till now I didn't have any proper uploading schedule, so I decided to make one, I will upload 1 chapter at 12, AM and PM both, daily, though I maybe sometimes not able to, but I will upload them at that time only, from now on. Well, I actually liked writing this story, I always wanted to, I hope it's enjoyable in reading atleast, and Thanks For Reading!
