Naruto: Chakra System

The next day, Kakashi sat on the training ground, sighing. "Sakura indeed has very high talent, at least in Chakra Control, which is the direct requirement for Medical Ninjutsu," he muttered. "Now I even don't remember for what reason Sakura was called useless at first in the anime."

It had only been 3 days, and Sakura needed only one day to master Tree Walking and the next two days to master Water Walking. While Naruto and Sasuke just yesterday mastered Wall Walking and moved to practice Tree Walking, and that too with the help of Shadow Clones.

This really surprised Kakashi, who started to think, 'Shall I have her a few hours of daily training in Medical Ninjutsu from tomorrow onwards? And with her, I might also have an excuse to force myself to learn Mystic Palm Jutsu and understand something about a ninja's body and chakra network.'

He nodded, deciding to go with this plan, when Sakura came to him and asked, "Sensei, what do I do now?"

Kakashi glanced at her. "For today, just rest," he said. "Oh, you still have a D-rank mission to do, right?"

He then called Naruto and Sasuke, told them to stop training, and then took them to the mission counter, where Hiruzen assigned them a D-rank mission to catch the same annoying cat that always ran away. This was the longest mission for Team 7, which took them 8 hours to complete, capturing the cat and returning it to its owner.

Evening descended, the setting sun shading Konoha in orange and purple hues. Kakashi then took them back to the training ground for once, to tell them something.

But before he could start saying anything, Naruto complained, "Kakashi-sensei, I'm so tired today, that cat was so annoying."

Sasuke and Sakura also nodded in agreement. They even deactivated their Gravity Seals, and Naruto had used many of his Shadow Clones, but it still took them a third of the day to capture that cat.

"Don't worry," Kakashi said, "I will treat you to your favorite Ramen, but listen to me first."

Hearing "Ramen," Naruto brightened again as if all tiredness had vanished, and he sat, listening to what Kakashi had to say. Sakura and Sasuke also get curious of what Kakashi wants to say.

Kakashi then said, "Sakura, you've really done a good job, and I've decided to have you start learning Medical Ninjutsu from tomorrow onwards."

Sakura tilted her head. "Um, Medical Ninjutsu? But why?" she asked.

Kakashi explained, "Your Chakra Control is actually quite superior inherently. You have a talent for Medical Ninjutsu, so I think it would be better if you learn some healing techniques. That will be very helpful for Team 7."

Sakura nodded, but her facial expression said that she wasn't entirely convinced. Then Kakashi explained further, "Let's suppose that in any mission in the future, I can't protect you all, and either Naruto or Sasuke gets seriously injured. Then at that time, your healing techniques can help them save their lives."

Naruto made an 'O' with his mouth. "That sounds quite important, Sakura," he said. "I think you should indeed learn Medical Ninjutsu."

Sasuke also nodded in response; Kakashi's words sounded serious to him, and they looked at Sakura for her answer.

Sakura was deep in thought. 'Yes,' she mused, 'If I can save them when they need me, then... then I wouldn't be a burden, and... and I can protect Sasuke-kun in difficult situations. Yes, Kakashi-sensei is right, I should learn Medical Ninjutsu.'

She then nodded with a determined look. "Alright, Kakashi-sensei, I will learn Medical Ninjutsu," she said.

Kakashi nodded and then looked at Naruto and Sasuke. "Now let's talk about you two," he said. "Once you have mastered Water Walking, I will teach all three of you a combined D-rank Jutsu."

Naruto grumbled and complained, "Oooh, come on, just a stupid D-rank Jutsu! Can't you teach us something like a powerful Jutsu?"

Even Sasuke complained this time. "Yeah, Kakashi-sensei, you're teaching Sakura a useful Medical Ninjutsu, and then all of us combined only a D-rank."

Kakashi said, "Don't worry, that Jutsu is not a reward Jutsu which I planned to teach you once you master Water Walking."

Naruto's face lightened. "Really?" he asked. "Then what Jutsu are you going to teach us?"

Kakashi sighed. "First of all, the D-rank Jutsu I will teach isn't useless," he said. "It's an important Jutsu for your speed; it's called Body Flicker Technique."

Sasuke nodded approvingly after hearing the words 'important' and 'not useless'. Kakashi then added, "And the Jutsu I decided to teach you are B-rank elemental Ninjutsu, but for that, we first check your elemental Affinities."

Naruto was confused. "Elemental Affinities? What are they?" he asked.

Kakashi explained, "Looks like you bunked a lot of classes, but anyways. Usually, every ninja has one affinity to either from these five elements; Earth, Water, Fire, Lightning, and Wind. The one you have is where you're most proficient in, like Sasuke is from the Uchiha Clan, and they mostly have Fire Chakra affinity, so they are proficient in Fire Release Ninjutsu."

Naruto nodded in understanding, and then Kakashi took out three chakra papers. Kakashi then handed those chakra papers to them.

"These are called chakra induction papers," he said. "They are expensive and rare. You just have to focus your chakra on them, and they can tell you your nature affinity. Now, do it and find out your innate chakra nature affinity."

They followed Kakashi's instructions and focused their chakra on the paper. As Kakashi expected, Naruto's chakra paper split in half, Sasuke's half burned and half wrinkled, and then Sakura's, which he also didn't know, turned half wet and half turned to dust and crumbled away.

They then looked at Kakashi in confusion; they literally didn't understand. While Sasuke understood that he had Fire Release affinity, and half turning to ash indicated it, but what the other crumpled half indicated, he didn't know and looked towards Kakashi for the answer.

Kakashi smiled. "Oh-ho, your team is really well-rounded one," he said, "You all combined have all five chakra nature Affinities! Naruto, you have Wind. Sasuke, you have Fire and Lightning. And Sakura, you have Earth and Water affinity."
