Chapter 10: [CHAPTER 10] Kakashi's Dream Crushing Advise!

Sakura asked, "Just names for introduction or something else as well?"

Kakashi answered, "No, no, everything. Your name, your likes and dislikes, your dreams for the future, and things like that."

Naruto chimed in. "Hey, hey, Sensei," he said enthusiastically, "Why don't you introduce yourself to us first?"

Kakashi casually ruffled his silver hair. "Yeah, sure," he replied. "My name is Kakashi Hatake, an Elite Jōnin, and from today onwards, your Jōnin sensei. As for my likes and dislikes..."

Kakashi added, "I do like traveling; if I get the chance, I'd like to travel around the world. And I dislike bothersome tasks like teaching a few snotty brats. As for my future dream, I have none for now."

Sakura's face turned towards Naruto and Sasuke as she mumbled to them quietly, "He isn't saying that we are the snotty brats, right?"

Naruto said in low voice, "Obviously not me. And you can't also be called a snotty brat, Sakura-chan. It's obviously this Sasuke."

Sasuke narrowed his eyes at Naruto but ignored him immediately. Sakura gritted her teeth in anger and raised her fist to hit Naruto, but Kakashi spoke.

"Stop mumbling among yourselves. Now, it's your turn. So, who wants to start first?"

Naruto got up from his seat, raising his hand, and said enthusiastically, "Me, me! Ahem. Yo, my name is Naruto Uzumaki. I love ramen. I love them even more when Iruka-sensei pays for my ramen. What I dislike is waiting for three minutes for the ramen to cook, and about my dreams..."

Naruto paused a little, adjusting his forehead protector, and continued with a determined look, "Is to surpass the Hokage and become Hokage myself, and then have the people of this village acknowledge my existence."

Kakashi nodded, thinking that Naruto mentioned the same things as he remembered. He asked, "Why do you want to be Hokage exactly?"

"If it's about gaining acknowledgment, then there are other ways as well. You don't need to bother yourself with the position of Hokage."

Naruto tilted his head in confusion. "Isn't it obvious? Hokage is the top position in the village, and only then can I gain acknowledgment."

Kakashi chuckled. "You all have never heard my name before today, right?"

The three of them were momentarily confused and looked at each other before shaking their heads in denial.

Kakashi nodded and said, "But to tell you the truth I am one of the most feared people in the ninja world, and these kinds of things aren't taught in the Ninja Academy to you. All you know is about Hokage, but there are many ninja who have the strength of a Kage but don't hold the position."

Naruto moved closer to Sakura and Sasuke. "Is he bragging in front of us?" he whispered.

Sakura also nodded slightly and looked at Sasuke, whose eye was now slightly wide. He thought, 'Is he speaking truth? Then, does that mean he also knows that man?'

Kakashi could obviously hear them clearly but didn't bother correcting them. He simply said, "In simple words, even without the position of Hokage, you can gain recognition, and believe me, even more than the Hokage himself with that position and that too not village's recognition but even from other nations."

This time, Naruto was surprised, his eyes wide in disbelief. "I-is that really possible?" he muttered.

"Why did others always tell me to become Hokage to gain acknowledgment, saying that's the only way?"

Kakashi chuckled at Naruto's current state of mind; he could clearly see what Naruto was thinking. "Alright, who will introduce themselves next?"

This time, Sakura got up and started introducing herself. "Me, Kakashi-sensei. My name is Sakura Haruno, and the things I like, um..."

She glanced at Sasuke to her left, shyly, then said, "Well, the person I like is... And uhm... my dream for the future, uhm..."

She again shyly glanced at Sasuke, daydreaming about something, and suddenly yelled, "Oh, yeah!"

Kakashi remained silent. Kakashi was still surprised by Sakura's sudden loud response, even though he knew what Sakura's introduction would be.

Sakura then snapped out of her daydream and said, "Oh, and what I dislike most is... NARUTO!"

Naruto was surprised, his shoulders slumping. "Why?!" he exclaimed.

Kakashi chuckled a little, then suddenly his demeanor turned serious. He asked, "Are you saying that you like this kid on your left, and dream of being his wife in the future?"

Sakura blushed at Kakashi's question and nodded shyly.

Kakashi nodded, and in a deep voice, said, "Then why are you even wasting my time? If all you want to be is a housewife, then why even dream of being a ninja? The job of a shinobi isn't your house play, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?"

All three Genin flinched at Kakashi's sudden serious tone, and an uneasy aura surrounded them as Kakashi leaked Killing Intent.

Sakura, because of Kakashi's words and killing intent, was on the verge of crying. Water welled in her eyes as she rubbed them with her hand, trying not to cry in front of Sasuke.

Kakashi shook his head and muttered but loud enough for them to hear, "What a disappointment?"

Then he thought, 'I will make sure that she gets serious about being a ninja early on rather than wasting most of her time chasing Sasuke.'

Kakashi then glanced at Sasuke, whose eyes were wide with a hint of admiration. Sasuke thought, 'A serious Jōnin, with no-nonsense talk. Yes, that's what I need, someone who can help me grow stronger so I can kill that man!'

Kakashi, unaware of Sasuke's secret admiration, said, "Okay, kid, now it's your turn. Introduce Yourself!"
