mysterious identity

Chapter 7: chapter 7: troublemaker girl

The morning was just like any other for Selena. She had to get ready for work, especially with the upcoming fashion event scheduled for next week. Her company was in full preparation mode, and there was no time to waste. After a quick breakfast, she gathered her things and left for the office, her mind already preoccupied with the tasks awaitin

Damian, on the other hand, had been out late the previous night, returning only in the early hours of the morning. When he finally woke up, the apartment was quiet, and Selena was already gone. He made his way downstairs, finding the breakfast she had left behind. He ate quickly, his expression unreadable, and then got ready to leave. Unlike Selena, Damian did not have a set routine. He moved with purpose but never shared his plans. As he stepped out of the apartment, there was an air of mystery surrounding him. He never told anyone where he was going, and today was no different.

Selena was on her way to the company when suddenly, her car started acting up. With an irritated sigh, she pulled over to the side of the road and stepped out, looking around for a garage or someone who could help, but the street was mostly empty. Annoyed, she pulled out her phone and called Sera.

"Sera, my car broke down. Can you send someone to handle it and come pick me up?" she asked, rubbing her temple.

"Give me a few minutes, I'll send someone over," Sera replied before hanging up.

With time to spare, Selena glanced around and noticed a nearby café. Deciding to wait there, she walked inside and ordered a strong black coffee. As she sipped it, she felt a sense of relief wash over her. The warmth of the coffee soothed her frustration, and she leaned back in her chair, hoping Sera would arrive soon.

However, her brief moment of peace was interrupted when a group of three girls approached her table. One of them, a tall brunette with an air of arrogance, crossed her arms and stared down at Selena with cold eyes.

"So, you're the one trying to seduce Lillian's boyfriend?" she said icily, her eyes narrowing as she glared at Selena.Selena froze, taken aback by the harsh tone. "What are you talking about?" she replied, trying to keep her voice steady.

The girl sneered. "Don't play innocent. I know exactly what you're doing," she spat, her eyes filled with accusation.

Selena raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "Who are you?" she asked flatly.

Another girl, a blonde with an equally haughty expression, scoffed. "You don't need to know who we are. Just stay away from Chison. He's mine. If you try to take him from me, you have no idea what I'm capable of."

Selena's eyes flickered with a mix of confusion and annoyance, but she didn't let it show. "I'm not interested in him.she replied coolly.

The blonde's smile was cold. "Keep it that way, or you'll regret it."

Selena sighed. As if dealing with a broken-down car wasn't frustrating enough, now she had to deal with a group of dramatic girls throwing accusations at her. She tilted her head, her voice laced with sarcasm.

"And who told you that?" Selena asked, her voice sharp as she turned back to face the girls.

"saw it with my own eyes!" the brunette snapped. "You were getting close to him in front of the company."

Selena frowned, trying to recall when that could have happened. Then she realized it must have been a misunderstanding. She had spoken to Chison a This times, but never in a way that could be considered flirting. This was ridiculous.

Selena's expression remained calm, though her patience was starting to wear thin. She let out a slow breath before replying"We just talked," Selena said flatly, meeting their glares.

lilian exchanged a look with the brunette, clearly unconvinced. "Don't play innocent. We know what we saw."

Selena sighed, crossing her arms. "This is none of my business," Selena said coolly, crossing her arms. "If you have a problem, take it up with Chison, not me."

She exhaled sharply and took another sip of her coffee and added , "So you're saying you're his girlfriend? "Then go be with him and stop bothering me," Selena said coldly replied her.

The brunette's face twisted in anger. "Watch your mouth."Lilian slammed her hands on the table, causing a few heads in the café to turn. "Don't act innocent! You might think you're special, but you're not. Girls like you always think they can take whatever they want."

Selena's patience was wearing thin. She stood up, meeting the girl's glare with her own.

"Listen, I have no interest in your boyfriend. If you're so insecure about your relationship, maybe you should talk to him instead of harassing random people in cafés. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do," Selena said, keeping her voice calm but firm.

She didn't want to cause a scene in public, so she turned away, hoping to end the pointless argument. But the brunette scoffed loudly. "Running away? Guilty much?"

Just as she was about to walk away, the brunette grabbed her wrist, tightening her grip.

"You're not leaving until you swear you'll stay away from him."

Selena's eyes darkened, and a slow, cold smirk crossed her lips. "Let go," she said, her voice dangerously calm.

The brunette tightened her grip on Selena's wrist, her nails digging in. "Or what?" she sneered.

"Make me," the girl challenged.her eyes blazing with defiance.

Before Selena could react, a strong hand grabbed the brunette's wrist and pried her fingers off. Damian stood beside her, his expression unreadable but his presence sending a shiver through the group of girls.

"She told you to let go," he said, his voice calm but firm.

The girl's confidence wavered as she looked up at him. "Who are you?"

"None of your concern," Damian replied coldly, his tone leaving no room for argument. "Now leave."

The girls hesitated for a moment before backing away. Muttering under their breath, they turned and left the café, but not before throwing Selena one last glare.

Selena exhaled, turning to Damian. "You sure know how to make an entrance."

He simply shrugged. "You looked like you needed help."

Selena rolled her eyes, finishing her coffee. "Next time, let me handle it."

Damian smirked. "Sure. Next time."

As they stepped out of the café together, Selena couldn't help but feel a strange sense of familiarity with him. A feeling she couldn't quite place.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Just passing by," Damian replied. "What about you?"

"My car suddenly broke down, so I was waiting for Sera." She glanced at her watch.

Damian offered her a ride. "I'll give you a lift, wife." He looked at her with a playful smile.

Selena hesitated for a moment. She didn't know what Damian was doing here, but she agreed. She called Sera and informed her.

"I'll go with Damian. Just handle the car."

"Okay, ma'am," Sera replied.

When they reached the car, Selena's eyes widened. It was a luxurious, high-end vehicle—one of the most expensive models she had ever seen.

"This is your car?" she asked in disbelief.

Damian chuckled. "No. A friend lent it to me."

Selena narrowed her eyes. "What kind of friend lends out a car like this?"

Damian shrugged. "We met in college."

Selena nodded, but a feeling of doubt lingered in her heart.

When they reached her company, Damian glanced at her. "If you need help, just call me next time. I'll be there for you." He smiled before driving away.

As Selena entered the building, she felt an odd sense of comfort around him something she couldn't quite understand.
