"She's going to make it…"

Everyone cheered and celebrated.

Then the doctor asked,

"Where's your other friend?"

"He's in the bathroom right now. We'll tell him in a second, yeah? And when can we see her?" Giel asked.

The doctor replied:

"Soon, but not today. She barely made it. We should let her rest now — she's probably asleep anyway."

"Okay," Kad said, then walked over to Giel.

Kad spoke:

"Hey Giel, should we head back to the base now, or wait at Mike's apartment? And if Mike is there… will he kill us too?"

Suddenly, Giel's expression changed — he looked angry.

He grabbed Kad and shouted:

"Don't say that! Mike wouldn't kill us if he was there. He probably couldn't control himself — who knows what really happened?!"

Kad slammed against the wall.

"Okay, okay, sorry for worrying, man," he said.

On their way to Mike's apartment, while walking, Giel began to talk:

"Hey Kad, wanna grab something to eat?"

Kad looked Giel straight in the face.

Then Giel replied:

"Yeah, I'm starving."

Suddenly, a gust of wind.

Has appeared in front of them.

"You're not going anywhere. You're coming with me — we're taking Mike down."

"After what he did to Lasa — his own girlfriend — imagine it had been you instead."

"He has to pay, don't you think?" Has said.

This time, Kad answered, speaking up for Mike:

"N-no, actually… not really."

"He couldn't control himself, right? …Could he? Man, we don't even know."

Then Has suddenly grabbed Kad by the collar.

"I'm really sorry… but Mike isn't human anymore. You're helping me now," Has said coldly.

"Let Kad go!" Giel shouted immediately.

Has looked at him calmly.

"And what if I don't?"

Before Has could react, Giel raised his hand — and Has started floating in the air, rising higher and higher.

Suddenly:

"Light Beam!"

Has broke free from Giel's magic with a blast and dropped to the ground.

But Giel caught him again with his magic — only to drop him right after.

Has dashed toward Giel and threw a punch. Giel ducked — but Has was faster. He grabbed Giel by the collar and threw him straight through the window of a nearby shop.

Glass shattered everywhere. Giel slowly stood up, rubbing his shoulder, grinning.

"Haha… Kad and I were just about to grab something to eat. But hey, turns out this shop has food too."

Giel grabbed some instant noodles, put money on the floor, packed the noodles into a bag, and walked out.

He said,

"Want to eat noodles right away?"

Has was speechless.

"Have you, Has… have you lost your mind?" Has asked.

Giel answered,

"No. I just don't want to kill a friend…"

Those words hit Has hard.

He was speechless and only now realized what had taken over him.

Has stopped using his magic and said,

"Sorry, I will…"

Giel interrupted,

"No, you won't do anything. Come with us, we're going to Mike's apartment. He's not there — we'd feel his magic if he was."

"Now that we're close enough, come on, okay?"

When they arrived at Mike's apartment, they unlocked the door — they had gotten the key some time ago.

It was so quiet inside. They all sat down.

Then Has began speaking,

"I'm sorry, okay?"

Kad and Giel answered together,

"It's alright."

But Has kept talking,

"Okay, the truth is… I love Lasa."

"WHAAAT???"

Mike was in the endless forest. He had now spent 5 months training, but he had heard the message — 25 dead, not 26.

He was relieved, but still, he had killed people without reason. That must never happen again; I must never lose control like that.

Summoning

Strike appeared, Bite appeared and grabbed — then

A knight? No.

Shadow appeared. Mike quickly went into attack position but…

Shadow kneeled.

"I am no longer a general. I am a resurrected servant."

Mike's expression turned angry.

"You — killed El."

Mike kicked Shadow, but Shadow said nothing.

But then Shadow began to speak.

"I was under the spell of evil, but now I am free, Mike.

That means I am completely different.

And I will serve you until the very end."

Shadow's words hit Mike hard, but still,

Mike said nothing and just stared. He called his wolves away, but he let Shadow stay.

Then Mike spoke.

You are a general.

I hereby appoint you as General of the Wolves.

Shadow, support me in the battle between me and Fireborn, and help me achieve victory, alright?"

Shadow drew his sword and cut his own hand.

The black blood dripped.

Then Shadow said,

"I swear it…"
