My Skills Are a Bit Weird in another world

The man who spoke was an old man holding a drink bottle in his hand and i guess from the hiccups and the flushed face that he was drunk so this must be Regard he was an old man with grey hair and sharp facial features or at least i guessed from the wrinkles on his face and he sat at the bar drinking when Liliana came crying and crashed on him .

He woke up from his drunk state instantly at the sound of her crying he pat her on the back a few times then said : don't worry my dear girl you are safe now .

Then looked at me dangerously I got the shivers just from him looking in my direction and said : who are you and what did you do to my precious employee ? .

I told him of what i know about the accident that was about to fall on ms Lillian in a hurry as i had no doubt that if i hesitate he would attack immediately without any remorse and luckily Lillian had stopped crying and enforced what i said by explaining what had happened to her from the start until i rescued her .

I got to know how she fall for those guys tricks as one of them came here when the owner wasn't here and asked if they were open to the idea of delivering food and drinks to the surrounding area and that they normally don't do such things but he tempted her by saying that they will be willing to spend a lot of money for their food and drinks so in the end she agreed but told him that she will talk to the manager about this when he returns .

But the crook man told her that he would be our first delivery and give her 4 silver coins and offered to pay 2 more after she deliver the food to a certain location and left directly after giving her the address and what he wanted to order not even giving her a chance to disagree or protest .

The inn owner took more time than he usually does so she decided to prepare the food and drinks and deliver them to the address he gave her and tell him not to request any more deliveries until she discuss it with her master .

But when she reached that location he gave her 3 more guys were there waiting with him and since the location itself was a bit secluded they were able to capture here quite easily and led her to that dark alley and if it wasn't for me she wouldn't have been able to escape .

I guess this area in need of some cleaning up then he flicked the girl forehead and continued on saying : but at least you learned a lesson from this incident, i kept on teaching you that you shouldn't trust people who come to you with offers so generous that you can't refuse see where your greed was going to lead you .

Ouch, I'm sorry master i promise it will never happen again .

I find the scene in front of me quite comical Regard face still have a few wooden shards from the mug on his face and ms Lilliana still angrily yelling at him .

Everyone 16 or above are asked to pay 20 silver coin and those under 16 years of age will have to pay 10 silver coins no matter if he was a commoner or a noble all have to pay the fine if they didn't want to fight for the kingdom .

I don't have that much money on me i was only been given 20 silver coins and got told that they could cover my expanses for some time .

Well you are really in a tight predicamen and whoever told you so was blatantly lying to you , the living expenses in the capital is too much for even the normal citizens .

The registration fee for the Adventurer's guild alone will take half of that money of yours and you will still need to buy some gear if you wanted to survive the next monsters raid .

Your choice of giving up your position as a hero was really a bad choice especially in these tiring times .

I didn't know all of this and even if i knew i would have made the same choice after all i had my reasons .

Shut it your attributes are both a blessing and a curse for the inexperienced eyes you would be someone not to be trifled with but to those with experience you are someone who will be a great training target in other words they will make you their plaything .

I chatted with Liliana for a bit and thanked her for the food and took the stairs towards the room number 12 it was quite similar to the apartment i used to live in but there was no room for bathroom a big sized bed and a table with two chairs by the window i put my head on the pillow and thought .

What if all the things that happened till now were just dreams would i even want to wake up from it , i probably would right ? .
