My Manor

Chapter 319: Chapter 317: Solving the Problem

"You bastard, bastard, bastard! You dare to cheat me like this? This isn't a fat sheep, this is clearly a tiger! Ten million! My head is worth ten million dollars!" Grabbing the ashtray in his hand, a half-brown man slammed it down on the ground, his voice thick with a distinct Spanish accent as he yelled.

At that moment, the other two men in the room backed away in fear, afraid they might get caught in the crossfire.

"Boss, it's no use getting angry now. I think the people who came to kill you are almost here. You need to come up with a plan. Otherwise, boss, maybe we should hide and head to Colombia to lay low for a while?" One of the men, seeing the boss throw everything in sight in frustration, spoke up quietly.

"For now, that's the only option," Justin Parker muttered, rubbing his temple helplessly. "But that guy is in a worse position than me. I can run, but can he?" He snorted coldly, clearly referring to Qin Feng.

Just as Jiang Hai had thought, Qin Feng wasn't planning to back down so easily.

After Jiang Hai wounded him, he knew it wouldn't be easy to stop him, so he called Qi Li for help.

Qi Li understood the importance of kicking someone when they were down, so he contacted the Qin family's enemies. In no time, they arranged a special police team to head to Miami and capture him. But luck seemed to be on Qin Feng's side.

He was discharged from the hospital just three days after the injury, and the special police arrived on the night of his release, finding only an empty hospital room. After evading the police and using money to smooth his path, Qin Feng met with Justin Parker. Although Justin was a second-generation rich kid, he wasn't dumb.

While taking revenge on Jiang Hai, Qin Feng also wanted to use the money in his hands to secure his own foothold here.

The incident with Jiang Hai made it clear that no matter where he was, having his own power was crucial—he couldn't rely on anyone else.

So he partnered with Justin Parker. Qin Feng would provide the funding, while Justin would control the streets. If they entered the gray market, Qin Feng had no interest in controlling it—he only needed it to protect him and earn a share of the profits.

It was a good deal, and naturally, Justin Parker agreed. Though he considered betraying Qin Feng, the fact that he had four bodyguards from China and several Blackwater security guards meant that even if he tried to turn on Qin Feng, it would likely end with him losing everything. So, cooperation seemed the best choice.

Their agreement required a pledge of loyalty, which Qin Feng secured with one million US dollars in cash.

Justin Parker didn't have that much money, so his loyalty was secured through the task of helping Qin Feng kill Jiang Hai.

That's how today's events unfolded. Both men had underestimated Jiang Hai.

Had Terry and the other five from Greyhound not shown up, but instead, if Justin and his team had confronted them head-on, it was likely they'd have been captured by the police long ago. Did they think the police in Miami were incompetent? Gangs like theirs were always under surveillance.

Justin Parker knew he had hit a wall this time and was genuinely in trouble.

"Contact the ship right away. I'm leaving tonight." After hearing his younger brother's suggestion, Justin sighed and stood up. He knew that leaving meant losing his territory and business, but what choice did he have?

His life was worth more than his business. Ten million dollars to buy his life? Just hearing that amount tempted him.

If he only had one life, he might even be tempted to sell it for ten million. But now, it was too late for regrets.

After giving his younger brother instructions, Justin stood and prepared to leave. His brother picked up his hat and walked over. But just as he handed the hat to Justin, a switchblade appeared in his hand.

"Huh?" Seeing a flash of light in the corner of his eye, Justin, a man with years of combat experience, instinctively stepped back—but it was still too late. The knife slashed across his clothes and even cut into his belly.

"Sauron, you—!" Looking at the knife in his hand, Justin's eyes widened in disbelief. His younger brother, still bleeding, stood there, shocked.

"Boss, your head is worth 10 million dollars. They said whoever takes your head gets the reward. Boss, you know my family's situation. My mother's addicted to drugs, my girlfriend's in the service industry, and I have two brothers and a sister to take care of. I'm done with all this. I want a new life. So... Boss, I'm sorry." As he spoke, his body trembled. This wasn't an easy decision for him. There's no such thing as absolute loyalty—it's about how high the price is.

In times of disaster, even spouses fly away from each other, let alone lackeys.

"You bastard!" Furious, Justin Parker wasn't one to back down easily. He pulled out a pistol from behind him and shot the younger brother three times before he could pounce.

After the shots rang out, the younger brother fell into a pool of blood. Justin, clutching his wound, aimed his gun at his remaining subordinate. But this man seemed to have no intentions of attacking. He was already terrified. As soon as he saw the gun, he immediately raised his hands, a foul smell emanating from his crotch.

"Boss, don't kill me. I'm loyal to you!"

Hearing this, Justin hesitated. The man didn't seem like a threat.

Although the earlier blow didn't open his belly, it made him bleed, and he was starting to feel faint. He really needed help.

"Enough talk. I know you're loyal. Now, hurry up and drive the car. If I make it out of here, you'll be my number one confidant." Putting down the gun, Justin's face showed exhaustion as he spoke. Of course, that last part was just a hollow promise—he had no one left to trust.

"Okay, boss." The henchman immediately ran out of the room. Justin, still weak from blood loss, sat in a chair, looking at the bleeding wound. He grabbed a stapler from the cabinet and used it to close the wound. It was a brutal act, but it had to be done. Afterward, he wrapped the wound in some cloth.

Just then, the sound of a car horn came from outside. Taking a deep breath, Justin Parker made his way to the door of the nightclub. He was surprised not to see the car at first.

But before he could process it, two headlights flared to life. Squinting, he saw a car speeding toward him.

There was no chance to react. The car hit him at full speed.

In the moment before impact, he saw the ferocious face of the henchman who had just been terrified, sitting behind the wheel...

When Justin Parker was dead, Qin Feng's situation wasn't much better.

You see, Justin Parker's head was worth 10 million dollars, but his own head was worth 20 million. Those after him wouldn't let go of that reward.

Even the Blackwater bodyguards were looking at him strangely.

This filled Qin Feng with fear, but he had no choice. The four men he brought from China were his only hope. Their families were still in China, and he had leverage to threaten them.

As gunshots rang outside, Qin Feng hid in his refuge, filled with dread.

For the first time in his life, he regretted provoking Jiang Hai. Who would've thought that such a plain-looking man would be so wealthy?

"With America, there's nothing money can't do." Qin Feng recalled his father's words and sighed, unsure if he'd make it out alive this time.

"Master, Blackwater will hold the front for you. We've arranged a boat. Let's head to South America tonight." Just then, the door opened, and the bodyguard who'd been badly beaten by Jiang Hai rushed in.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Qin Feng didn't waste time. Despite the pain in his ribs, he barked orders, ready to leave.

"Master, this way!" The bodyguard's eyes flashed with cold light, pointing to the back door.

Without thinking, Qin Feng turned to leave. But just as he did, the bodyguard's hands seized his head. Qin Feng, about to shout at him, felt a sharp pain in his neck. His vision spun before everything went dark. He collapsed, too weak to understand what had happened.

Betrayal was always a possibility. The price was just high enough.
