My Manor

Chapter 318: Chapter 316: The Manor

"It's fine here." Hearing Jiang Hai's words, John shrugged. This was the middle of the gray area, so naturally, they'd take on some special jobs, like someone hiring a killer to take out another person. Places like theirs thrived on such big clients.

"It's best to do this. Ten million for Justin Parker's head. No matter who brings it, ten million is theirs. Twenty million for the Chinese man's head. Whoever brings it gets twenty million." Jiang Hai looked at John, pouring himself another glass of whiskey. As he inhaled the strong scent, he spoke in a dreamlike manner. Hearing this, John was stunned.

Thirty million just to kill two people? If this wasn't nonsense, then Jiang Hai was really wealthy.

"Boss, your price is a bit high." Although Moses Adams wasn't involved in the gray areas, it was essential to understand market conditions, so he was familiar with the going rates.

Even though these two men had a lot of power, paying thirty million for their lives was an exaggeration.

"It doesn't matter; the money's worth it." Jiang Hai couldn't deal with this personally—first, the police were keeping an eye on him, and second, he didn't think he could take on dozens of armed gangsters. When things could be solved with money, it was always the best option. He wasn't short of money, anyway.

"Are you sure?" Hearing Jiang Hai's words, John's breath grew heavier for some reason.

For him, and for the people behind him, thirty million was a lot of money.

"I'm sure. I'll leave the follow-up to you." Jiang Hai nodded seriously, then turned to Moses Adams.

"I'll stay here for about a week to ten days. I hope this gets resolved in that time." Jiang Hai gently tapped the bar's table, and the three of them shared a knowing look and laughed.

For some people, three days could be enough, let alone ten.

Less than half an hour later, Jiang Hai and Moses Adams left. As they passed the iron cage again, both of them were already worn out. The white man's face was badly bruised, his nose was broken, one eye swollen shut, several ribs were clearly fractured, and one of his front teeth was knocked out. His head was covered in blood. He leaned against the cage, gasping for breath. The Muay Thai fighter across from him was already lying on the ground.

Looking at his closed eyes and bent arms, if it weren't for his chest still heaving, one might assume he was dead. Even if he wasn't, it would likely take a year of rest before he could even get out of bed.

The white man had won, but his condition wasn't much better than the man lying down.

After a glance at the white man, Jiang Hai turned and left. It was a shame he missed the beautiful shot earlier.

That night, Jiang Hai and Moses Adams returned to the hotel. Upon entering, they found Aphra and the others in their rooms, not having gone to bed. When they saw Jiang Hai, they all stood up nervously. Darlene and Marianne immediately rushed over and hugged him on either side. To be honest, today's events had been terrifying.

"Okay, okay, I'm fine, right? Be good. Have you eaten? If not, ask them to bring something up." Jiang Hai gently touched the two girls' hair, speaking slowly. He knew today's events had left an indelible psychological mark on them. It seemed he, as a father figure, hadn't been doing his job well.

"Hey, boss, I'll head back. You guys continue." Seeing the scene, Moses Adams smiled awkwardly and excused himself. He felt a little embarrassed standing in Jiang Hai's room.

"Oh, okay, look after things tonight. I won't treat you badly." Jiang Hai turned to Moses Adams, smiling. Moses nodded respectfully, left the room, and returned to his own.

As soon as the door to Jiang Hai's room closed, the other girls, like Darlene and Marianne, rushed over, hugging him tightly, as if afraid of losing him.

"Hey, don't be like this. Let me sit down first." Feeling his body grow heavier, Jiang Hai coughed twice. Upon hearing him, the others moved aside, letting him sit on the sofa.

But they still refused to leave him. Darlene and Marianne hugged his arms tightly on the left and right. Janice and Bridget sat on the carpet, each holding one of Jiang Hai's legs. Oshilia and Sheila held his hands, while Becky and Hilda gripped his shoulders. Dinah went a step further, wrapping her arms around his waist, her body pressing against his lower abdomen, making Jiang Hai feel a little embarrassed.

Before he could gather his thoughts, Aphra walked behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck. Her chest brushed the back of his head, making him feel trapped, unable to relax or exert any force. If he did, he risked causing problems.

"I said I'm fine, right? Aren't you all okay too? Have you eaten? Let's order food," Jiang Hai said helplessly, surrounded by softness from every side.

"We can't eat." Aphra, holding Jiang Hai's head, spoke with a slightly tearful voice.

If you've never lost something, you won't understand how to truly cherish it. These girls had gone from having nothing to living a life they had never dreamed of. In their eyes, life with Jiang Hai was heaven.

They could talk freely, have fulfilling work, eat well, wear beautiful clothes, and be surrounded by good sisters, no longer having to watch their backs. This life, which might seem normal to others, was the best they could ever imagine. In this environment, they became even more unwilling to lose Jiang Hai. Whatever happened to him, he was everything to them.

Before this, except for Aphra, the other girls' feelings for Jiang Hai had been mostly out of gratitude.

But now, after everything, their feelings had shifted. Jiang Hai was no longer just their benefactor or meal ticket. Now, after everything, they understood just how much he meant to them.

If the heart could only hold a hundred things, Jiang Hai occupied more than eighty.

It wasn't love, nor was it simple liking. It was a deep, unshakeable dependence. They couldn't even imagine what would happen to them if something happened to him.

"So, what do you want to do? It can't go on like this forever. Or you could go back to sleep." Jiang Hai wasn't sure what to say. After hesitating for a while, he could only offer this suggestion.

"We won't go back. We're afraid. We want to sleep with you." At these words, Darlene and Marianne, their eyes filled with tears, made Jiang Hai feel even more helpless.

"But this isn't good..." As the girls spoke, Jiang Hai felt his embarrassment deepen, unsure how to respond.

"I don't care. We just want to sleep with you," Marianne said, a hint of anger in her voice. In truth, none of them dared to sleep alone after today's ordeal.

Seeing the girls' determined expressions, Jiang Hai sighed helplessly. "It's a blessing, not a disaster. A disaster that can't be avoided."

"Then where do we sleep? On the sofa, just like this? Let's go back to the room and sleep..." Jiang Hai shrugged at the girls around him, who looked like frightened rabbits. The girls nodded and followed him back to the room. They lay on Jiang Hai's big bed, which, though large, wasn't enough for eleven people.

They squeezed together tightly, but none of them showed any impatience. With Jiang Hai's scent around them, they could finally sleep peacefully. As for Jiang Hai, though his heart was racing with the smell of the girls around him, he couldn't do anything about it.

He just lay there, and before he knew it, fell asleep.

Meanwhile, things were growing complicated on the gray roads of Miami.

"Son of a bitch! Who did this? Fuck, Sangover, surrogate mother!" Angry shouts came from the second floor of a nightclub, accompanied by sounds of things breaking. The club was nearly empty—normally, it should've been packed, but this was Justin Parker's base.

Half an hour after Jiang Hai and Moses Adams had left, the news that Justin's head was worth ten million spread throughout Miami. Though the big players didn't care about ten million, who would turn down easy money?
