My Mage System (BL)

After Esmee examined the baby, she was left speechless. The pregnancy couldn't be older than three weeks; she was sure of that after her examination, but the growth of their baby was too fast.

It was as if the pregnancy was already halfway, meaning that the baby's growth had a two to three-week advance compared to what it should be.

As Esmee was lost in her thoughts, Alan asked her, "Is there really a problem with our baby's growth?"

Esmee then looked at their worried faces and sighed before explaining, "Your baby is growing too fast; he or she shouldn't be able to move. At least, Erik shouldn't be able to perceive these movements yet."

Erik asked, putting his hand on his stomach and worried for the life that was growing inside him, "Is it dangerous for our baby? What will happen if I give birth before the three months that a normal pregnancy takes?"

Esmee smiled and said to reassure them, "Even though the growth of your baby is unexpected, I never said that it could be dangerous for your baby or for yourself."

She added, "Your baby is growing faster, but his or her development is actually perfect. Your baby's health couldn't be better, so rest assured that right now there is no risk. The only problem is that with that kind of growth, I guess that two or three weeks more will be enough for you to give birth. You need to prepare yourself."

Erik then frowned, and Alan paled. They both looked at each other, but Erik then said before Alan could speak, "I know! I know!"

He sighed and continued, "Let's see if I can give birth to our baby before the war starts; otherwise, I will not participate in it. I won't put the life of our baby at stake."

Alan felt relieved when he heard Erik say that, and Esmee also thought it was a wise decision. If the growth of their baby had been normal, Erik could have fought during the war without a problem, as their baby wouldn't even have started to move. But right now, at this speed, Erik would be at the end of his pregnancy, and the risk of giving birth at any time would be very dangerous for both the baby and himself.

Alan then asked her, after feeling relieved that their baby was fine and that Erik wouldn't participate in the war if he was still pregnant, "Is it because of our dual cultivation bond that the growth of our baby is so fast?"

Esmee wasn't sure herself, so she just spoke her mind, "Your bond is indeed very powerful and provides a great source of energy for the growth of your baby. But I don't think it is the only cause. Erik's power is also among the strongest among the living creatures in our universe; besides the Priests, the Warrior Spirits are the strongest. With this unlimited reserve of energy, your baby's growth is limitless."

It was the first time that a Warrior Spirit had been pregnant, as normally they were the ones on top. Esmee couldn't help but think that this couple was truly one of a kind, and she was very glad to have met them.

She then conjured up a small box and told them, "Even though your baby's growth is perfectly fine, I still want you to take these potions. Use one each day, and in three days, I will come back to check on you."

She added then, as she could feel some anxiety from the couple, "If something unexpected happens, just call me, and I will come at any time. Worrying too much is not good for your baby. What is meant to happen will happen. All I can promise you is that I will do my best to help you when the time to give birth comes."

Alan and Erik then thanked her for everything, and shortly after, Esmee sent them back to the Elemental world.

As she arrived in this world, she took the opportunity to check on Zak.

She teleported right next to Colin and asked him how Zak was doing while the latter was still meditating. Colin, after bowing his head to show his respect to her, told her about Zak's current level and prowess.

Colin could only praise Zak, as he was a hard worker and a genius among geniuses. He explained that Zak had already learned all the basic skills that a Priest should have and that now he just needed to refine those skills to become a war machine.

He also told her that Zak surpassed all the others in combat training by far and that his fighting skills were superb. Only his level was a problem now, as gaining more basic stats through leveling up was still the best approach.

There wasn't any gravity room or dungeons here to help them gain a lot of basic stats, but fortunately, thanks to Miguel's special dimension, they could still earn a lot of basic stat points just by training their fighting skills.

Esmee then thanked Colin for his report and used her telepathic link to let Zak know that she was here.

Immediately, Zak opened his eyes, and a beaming smile appeared on his face when he saw that Esmee was really there.

He got up and hurried to meet her. Colin then moved aside, giving him a tacit agreement to go and enjoy Esmee's presence, as she couldn't come as often as she would like.

Esmee was currently busy preparing for war, managing many things at once. Fortunately, Miguel had sent her a few Warrior Spirits to help her handle everything.

Zak took her hand in his and went with her through a golden portal. They were still in the Elemental world, but they were no longer in the cave saturated with fire particles. Instead, Esmee led them to an enchanted place. In front of them was a lake, and all around the lake were flowers of all colors and huge trees with blue leaves.
