My Mage System (BL)

It was scorching hot there. Even they, with all their powers, could feel the heat of this room, but it was no wonder, as they were surrounded by liquid magma.

They could feel that they were far from the surface of this world, and finally, they could see where the problem was coming from.

As the core of their world, the core of this world looked like a ball of light, but it wasn't bright anymore. Its light was dimmed and flashed like a dying battery.

The core was at the center of a magic circle situated in the room, with magma flowing all around it. The magic circle looked similar to the ones they had in their world, but the problem was the black runes on the walls and the floor nearby, drawn on the different rocks that were moving around it due to the flow of lava.

From the black runes emanated waves of black particles that were attacking the poor core. But that wasn't all. They could feel that those runes were powered by energy crystals of black particles, and there were seven crystals hidden in the wall.

Axel then told him, "This magic circle is the same in any world. It is the energy source of all the cores. If it is destroyed by the black particles, then it's over—this world would blow up as the core would die."

Kevin then said, as there were only 2 minutes and 30 seconds left, "Then you deal with the runes, and I'll deal with the energy crystals. Is that okay with you?"

The core of their world then joined the other core, and the shield that was in place to protect the magic circle grew stronger. Kevin then said, surprised, "It works! We now have 10 minutes and 45 seconds left. Our core is very brave!"

Axel nodded, feeling proud to have been chosen by it as his owner, and added, "Let's go, babe!"

Kevin had just 2 minutes left to use his Stage 3, so they had to make the most of this time, as they were never more powerful than when he was using it.

Kevin used the earth element to retrieve the seven energy crystals from the wall, but these crystals were releasing a massive amount of black particles, so he couldn't decently send them to their personal dimension.

He tried to stop the flow of black particles by putting a golden shield made of golden particles around them, but it lasted only a few seconds before it was destroyed.

Trying to destroy these crystals would be a waste of resources, and in any case, even they could be in danger if they faced all the black particles that were stored in these crystals at once. Out of ideas, Kevin contacted Elias through the communication stones and explained his dilemma.

He needed to get rid of these crystals, but he couldn't store them as they were releasing a huge quantity of black particles, and he couldn't destroy them there, nor anywhere else. If he did, the place where he would do it would be as dead as the training dimension where Nolan unleashed his attack… That was it!

As soon as Kevin said that, Elias teleported right next to him and told him, "Let me handle these crystals for you. Well done, son! I will let you finish what you have to do here. Call me if you still need me; I will be right there!"

"Thank you, Dad, I will!" said Kevin without hesitation.

Elias then used his Stage 2 and put a much more powerful shield around the crystals than the one Kevin was able to make, before teleporting to the prison dimension. From there, still inside his shield, he opened a small portal just big enough to send all these uncontrollable crystals to the training dimension that was already lost anyway.

Once done, he returned to the others, as he had complete confidence in Axel and Kevin to deal with the remaining threat.

Back inside the room where the runes were still activated, even though they were no longer powered by these energy crystals, the divine energy was still everywhere, making it an inexhaustible source of energy for these runes.

Axel was drawing at high speed other runes, this time powered by the Angelic divine element to counter them.

As Kevin's Stage 3 was almost over, he sent as many golden particles as he could into the runes that Axel was drawing in any available space. Finally, when Axel couldn't draw any more runes as all the space was used, he joined Kevin and also sent divine energy into them.

The runes Axel had drawn were the opposite of the ones Lilith had made, and as they became powerful enough, they started to attack the black runes.

Kevin then fell to his knees when he reverted to Stage 2, but he got up again and said to Axel, seeing his worried look, "Don't worry, I'm fine! Let's continue until your runes are powerful enough to destroy Lilith's!"

Axel then asked him, "How long do we still have?"

Kevin replied while equipping himself with the most powerful weapons he had to maximize his stats, "7 minutes and 20 seconds."

Axel nodded and said, "That should be enough, but these black runes won't be easy to deal with. They have been powered for too long by these energy crystals, and the black particles inside them regenerate too quickly. Moreover, the black particles within the divine energy still power them."

Kevin then asked, while sending as many golden particles as he could into Axel's runes, "Should we call for reinforcements? Our friends will be happy to help. Our mission is already done; we just need more manpower."

Axel smiled at him and said, "You're right! Let's call our friends, and our new allies can join as well if they want to increase their affinity with the Evil Divine element."

Kevin nodded and sent immediately another message to Elias.
