My Mage System (BL)

Chapter 722: *Even his system had its limits*

Atlas chimed in, "Lena, use your light to eradicate the remaining black particles on their bodies, and then you can administer the healing potions to treat them."

Elias then vanished, and a few seconds later, the 10 legendary creatures and 3 divine ones aligned in the passage. He said to Lena, "Your light first; then I will treat them."

Among the 3 divine creatures, 2 were Drakonits, and one was a wolf. Roman exclaimed, "I thought they were dead during the battles; this bastard told me they were disintegrated by black flames."

Isaac then asked him, while Lena's light took care of the remaining black particles on their bodies, "What about the others?"

Roman looked closely at the men and women present; their skin still bore the black burns left by the black particles. "The 6 other Drakonits lived here, but unlike the Divine Drakonits, they weren't even supposed to be in our world right now. They were all sent on missions in other worlds to find new traders and others to gather ores for making better weapons. We aren't blind, my friends; we knew that something big was about to happen, and so we wanted to be ready in case a war broke out."

Roman then added, "As for the others, I don't know them, but thanks to their scent, I can tell you that there are 4 other wolves and 2 that belong to the snake race."

He then added, frowning at his discovery, "Moreover, they are all on the verge of breaking into the Divine level."

Elias glanced at him, surprised, yet smiled and said, "As I anticipated from you; your senses remain as sharp as ever."

Lena's light worked wonders, and she said to Elias, as all the legendary and divine creatures lay now unconscious on the floor due to the mental fatigue from fighting for their lives, "There is no mechanism hidden inside their bodies, and the black particles that were threatening their lives have been eliminated. You can finish healing them now, but like Johan, they will remain unconscious for the time being."

She added, knowing that Elias would be very reluctant to this idea, "Only Willow can help them remain conscious right now; otherwise, they will need a few days of rest to wake up."

As Elias treated the creatures one by one, he said, "For Willow's help, we will need to ask Kev and Axel if they agree first."

He then added, looking with a grave expression at his men, "As for why these creatures were being tortured here, search all the buildings of this headquarters. Jordan has been able to sense the network that Lilith put in place, so you know where to begin. It's not the first time we've been in this kind of situation, so look for any information you can find."

As Jordan mapped the network he had dismantled with the help of the golden particles right before their eyes, Tarik once again took the lead and showed the others the areas where they had to search.

As for Roman, he let them handle the rest and stayed with Elias and Lena to help them take care of the poor souls here, while the others left as soon as Tarik gave his orders.

While they were busy treating the wounds and searching for information, Kevin and Axel were in their personal dimension, looking at each other with grave faces.

The danger was imminent, and they wouldn't have time to evacuate all the Drakonits living in this world before it blew up. They had no choice; they had to save the core of this world. But where should they start to find it?

Axel, who was following Kevin's train of thought, then said to him, "You are right. Let's get back to this world and try to find a powerful source of energy. Something that could threaten the core of a world should be extremely powerful."

Kevin nodded and put his hand on Axel's arm before teleporting them to the center of this world. Axel didn't waste time and deployed all his powers, taking out his divine sword to unlock his full potential. A shockwave followed, making the vegetation and dust fly all over the place.

The golden tattoos on Axel's body were shining like the sun, and the golden tattoos covering Kevin's face, due to his Stage 3, started to shine as well.

When Kevin was using his Stage 3, the sharing energy worked for both of them, and even Axel grew stronger thanks to their powerful link.

But despite using all their powers, Axel said, as Kevin was frowning, "Me too. The most powerful source of energy comes from Elias, but I can't detect where this core might be."

Kevin then replied, "The system gave us this mission, only us, so we should have something in our possession that could help us find it."

Kevin had already tried to use his system to locate it, but he had received no response; after all, even his system had its limits. Axel, feeling anxious with only 3 minutes and 35 seconds left to save this world, said, "If it's not the system or our powers, then what?"

Then Axel widened his eyes in surprise as the core of their world materialized right in front of them, jumping wildly around to get their attention.

Kevin quickly asked Axel, "Can it sense it? Is that why this mission was given to us, because the core of our world could lead us to the one of this world?"

Then a golden portal appeared, and Axel told him, "You're right; it just opened this portal. It wants to tag along with us and help us save this world."

Kevin nodded and said, "Great, let's go then!"

On the other side of the portal lay an immense room, as vast as the training grounds of the Sun Sect. At the very center of this space, they finally caught a glimpse of the core of this world.
