My Garbage Collecting Cheat-Skill in Survival Game

Chapter 10: Chapter 10 "Old Looking Gun"

He bent and pulled an old box, then placed it in front of Ray.

"This thing isn't for sale, but now I have changed my mind." The old man began to open the box, while explaining in a sad tone.

The box opened, and there rested a black, old gun; it had an old pattern on it and was a size little bigger than normal guns.

"This is it. It might be old, but it's still enough to work for a few more months, especially if used by a guy of your level."

Ray's eyes fixed on the gun. It wasn't fancy, but he had a feeling that this isn't a normal gun. Then he asked, "This still works? And what type of bullets does it use?"

"Ah, this doesn't use bullets. It's an air gun; I just want someone to buy it and use it for the last time before it ends up as just a piece of metal," the old man explained.

"You must have tried to sell this to others too, right?" Ray asked with raised eyebrows.

The old man, with a defeated face, spoke, "Indeed, I even gave them 50% off, but no one wanted to buy this masterpiece, created by a high-level forger."

'Masterpiece my ass!' Ray thought. "Old man, you want me to buy an air gun. I asked for a long-range weapon, not for a toy."

"Ignorant youngsters these days don't know what a true masterpiece is," the old man held a proud tone, then flipped the silencer-looking thing in front of the gun.

"Watch closely," His tone serious, as he aimed for a wall and shot.

"Swoooop!"

"BOOM!"

A quick current like a bullet made up of air travelled in front of Ray's eyes and blasted at the wall, making a huge impact. However, there was no damage as the shop was imbued with a formation.

'There is no damage, but...' Ray thought. He knew that the shop was covered in some formation, and if there hadn't been one, then the wall would have blasted into rubble.

He asked, "Can I see it?" hoping the old man would let him examine it, but he was ready for rejection.

To Ray's surprise, the old man, with a smile, handed the gun to him.

[Aerial Gun: Imbued with wind magic array]

[Status: Weak]

[Restoration:] The gun will restore to its original self, a powerful weapon which shoots air imbued with magic. 100% damage to level 5 or below, 70% damage up to level 12, 50% damage up to level 18, and 10% damage for those above 20 and below level 25.

'This is!' Ray was stunned.

He had thought of this, and that's why he asked for the inspection, but he didn't think that the gun could be such a powerful thing in its prime. But the next thing made him even more surprised.

[Modification]

Magic Wind Gun: Upon modification, the Aerial Gun will be modified into a full-fledged Wind magic weapon. (All damages will increase up to level 30. After that, it needs a higher-level wind array for the next modification.)

 Condition: Needs restoration first.

Myriad Gun: The magic gun which can store up to three arrays at once. The recommended arrays are a fire element array and an Ice element array. (Once you have selected this route, you can't redo it.)

 Condition: Needs restoration first.

(Notice: Remember, the gun will be incomplete unless you imbue the three arrays in the Myriad Gun. All damage will be reduced by 5 levels until the completion of the gun.)

The offer was tempting. Not only could he restore the old gun, but he could also have a powerful long-range weapon which could be effective against a level 20 enemy. However, he knew things wouldn't be that simple.

'If having a long-range weapon made one invincible, then everyone would have chosen the same, but I know that unless I have a skill, even a level 5 enemy would be hard to damage.'

He looked at it once more. He needed this, but the problem was now the price. Ray was hoping that the old man would give him a price which wouldn't affect his wallet, but he himself doubted that.

"You seem interested in it. How about making a deal?" The old man broke the silence. In return, Ray asked, "Who created this thing? Do you know where I can find him?"

"So, you aren't interested in the gun but the man who created it?" The old man asked with doubt.

"No, I will buy it, but I just need something from him, unless you have those items with you?" Ray cleared the air; he wanted to buy it, and he'd buy it.

The old man laughed in amusement. "Finally, I can see off my old friend." There were tears in his eyes, but Ray doubted if they were tears of joy of selling the gun or about milking money from him.

"If you buy it, then I will tell you about the creator of the gun." Suddenly, the old man became a serious salesman and made the offer.

Ray answered without arguing, "Give me the price with the discount you promised."

"Sure-Sure, after your 50-no 60% percent discount, you only have to give me XX amount." Old man announced.

Ray began calculating his budget. He had X amount in his account after he bought the game's headset. Then he received XX amount from clearing the first mini-game, and XX from selling the leather armor.

'Even after the 60% discount, why is this thing still so pricey? After this, I'll need some food as well as potions, and after that, I'll be left with 30% of what I earned today.'

Ray still made the transaction and bought the Myriad Gun, but inwardly, he was crying from losing 70% of his income in one day.

"Thank you for your patronage. Now you can ask your questions. I'll answer all of them." With a big smile, the old man waited for Ray's questions.

[XXX amount has been debited from your account]
