MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM

Chapter 170: A Little Nudge

A Little Nudge

'... Master...' Norn called out softly and Christopher just replied with a soft hum as he decapitated another entity.

Their numbers were staggering, to say the least. By now, there was a mountain of corpses around Christopher. Moreover, the corpses weren't all human as there were other creatures that had turned into entities.

The more Christopher killed, the more he was assured of Norn's theory that the entities were beings that got caught in the blizzard and were erased by it.

He didn't understand how such a thing was possible. After all, if something was erased from existence, then it should be gone, simple as that. Yet these beings had been erased, but somehow were able to exist within the blizzard, while also maintaining their state of inexistence.

It was painful to think about, but Christopher just rolled with it.

'You haven't calmed down...' Norn's usually soft voice was tinged with worry.

Christopher didn't respond, but he knew she was correct. He had been at it for a few hours, but his state of excitement hadn't faded one bit.

This was... concerning.

His anger at the terror tarantula faded when he killed it and all its children, so it had lasted a few minutes at best. But this was significantly longer than that time.

'The excitement came when I encountered the entity. Does that mean it won't vanish unless I kill all of them?' That... was beyond daunting.

Christopher had been keeping track of his movement since he entered the blizzard. He'd gone a few hundred kilometers since he started, which would have been much more if jot for the fact that he was encountering entities left and right.

He did an inward calculation and realized he'd killed about 62,749 entities altogether, and he had been moving in a straight line for 4 hours since he entered the blizzard.

This meant he was killing 15,687 entities an hour, 261 a minute, and 4.36 an hour, which was quite remarkable.

However, at this rate, he wouldn't be able to kill every entity within the blizzard. Not that he intended to. Even if he went all out, he'd be here for a long time before he killed every entity.

But in that case, what could he do? He had two options, and that was to either leave or just pierce through the blizzard, but both options had their problems.

First of all, leaving wasn't viable because he would give up all his progress and Vazar's plan might succeed, which he didn't want.

But on the other hand, piercing through wasn't particularly viable either as the deeper Christopher went, the more entities he would encounter, which would undoubtedly make moving forward more difficult, and more importantly, his excitement would become overwhelming.

Christopher could feel it, his weapons could feel it as well. If he kept going at this pace, he might end up losing himself and cause indiscriminate destruction. If that happened, he wasn't sure he'd be able to solve it.

In that case, what could he do?

It didn't take long for Titus' idea to be implemented in the other fortresses, and soon, each fortress had a bright green barrier that was more durable than it should have been with all the restrictions on it.

As for why the members of Christopher's cohort didn't simply use their higher authority to make use of the better enchantments the fortresses had, well, in the first place, they weren't allowed to interfere with the soldiers and their matters unless they had to.

If Titus hadn't discovered this method, they might have (if they remembered that is, since Aisha isn't the only one who forgot). But since Titus had presented a fairly viable solution, if it worked, then they wouldn't need to step in.

Aisha calmed down and returned her full attention to her work. The Blizzard would reach the fortresses soon, so she started making certain preparations.

Besides being a Seer and Christopher's assistant, she played a similar role to what Christopher did before he assimilated their world into his Dimension. She was manipulating events to lead to an outcome that would benefit them as a whole.

Like him, she was subtle about it, making sure she didn't change anything too big so as to avoid suspicion. From the moment Fate had been restored, she'd been pushing events in a certain direction, and things were about to kick off.

As for what she wanted to do?

Well, not much had been mentioned concerning the lesser clans besides the few vassals that came into contact with the Genesis Corps. What had they been doing?

Well, most of them had been on the outskirts of the hidden realm, quietly collecting rare resources and accumulating things. Some had managed to undergo breakthroughs, and the weaker clans, just like the main ones, focused on strengthening their geniuses as much as possible.

They didn't dare go in deeper as they lacked the manpower to contend with the more powerful beasts, and they didn't want to antagonize any stronger clans for entering their territory.

In short, they were extras.

But with the approach of the blizzard, things were about to change.

It wasn't an exaggeration to say that none of them had any preparations to handle the power of the blizzard. After all, they never planned to go through it, and even if they did, these weaker clans weren't wealthy enough to procure such materials needed to resist the blizzard.

As such, when they discovered it was growing and showed no signs of slowing down, they were panicking.

What did this mean?

Well, Aisha dropped some subtle 'hints'. These hints allowed the weaker clans to realize that there was another force within the hidden realm that they did not know of. One that was unaffiliated with the rest of the clans.

She then somehow made a rumor spread among them that this force had a way of resisting the force of the blizzard, as well as the fact that they weren't aggressive unless attacked first and their approximate locations.

This was all she did, but the seed had been planted.

The clans were between a rock and a hard place. Would they remain steadfast and endure the force of the blizzard which would kill them without an inkling of a doubt? Or would they take their chances and visit this strange force that had popped out of nowhere?

In the end, most made their decision.

Aisha sent a telepathic message to all the members of the Cohort as well as the fortress commanders which went along the lines of this.

'A bunch of weaker clans are gonna converge on your positions seeking refuge. Not all of them will have good intentions, so don't get complacent. But the ones that genuinely seek refuge, take them in and put them to work.' That was all she said.

Now why was she doing this? Their goal was the hidden realm and its resources, why was she trying to save people she didn't know?

The truth was, she didn't want to do this originally. Hell, she didn't give a damn about any of the clans. They could die for all she cared.

However, she recalled how Christopher had extended a hand to the Voidwalkers. They had been his enemies. However, these people weren't his enemies, they were caught in a bad situation.

That didn't mean that they wouldn't take advantage of their group one way or the other if they were weak. But many of the inhabitants would have done the same to Christopher if he had been weak.

In fact, Aisha saw Christopher for his ability to save their world and nothing more. She didn't see him for anything else. And she couldn't be blamed for that. After all, she hadn't met him prior. She didn't know him as a person.

Christopher hadn't issued this order, but he gave her the freedom to do whatever she thought would benefit the Dimension as a whole or satisfy Christopher.

Besides, she was sure that among these people, there would at least be one or two individuals who possessed great talent. If they were taken into the Dimension and enhanced, their powers would increase greatly and they would be great additions to the Dimension and its forces.

She sighed and split a bit of her attention to focus on Christopher to see what he was doing and she froze.

'What is-?!' Before she could finish her sentence, the ground shuddered, and she looked to the side just in time to see a mountain that could easily dwarf a moon get uprooted in the distance and vanish.

She was stunned, and then she quickly focused on Christopher and her eyes widened.

She witnessed Christopher throw down the mountain that had been enhanced by the Dimension thousands of times, making it impossibly dense as well as granting it various strange properties that most people couldn't comprehend. It was enhanced by several magic circles and turned into an apocalyptic meteor.

Then with wide eyes, she saw the meteor hit the ground, and the moment the impact occurred, her connection to fate was cut off
