" Sol, come." Using my control over air mana, I used it to make my words travel to the little phoenix, who stopped and simply disappeared back inside my mana sea, swimming in my new fire mana section, happy enough with it.

Not wishing to cause damage, I stopped myself from opening a portal and instead just teleported back home, where one of the cutest scenarios I had ever seen in my life unfolded

" Noooo, you have to comb the hair like this, they look cuter," Mary told Laura, the little kid I had saved from the laboratory, while combing Wanda's hair.

They were a disaster, but Wanda seemed happy enough to just be a part of it, so she didn't care, and she could change her hairstyle with just a wave of her hands.

Laura nodded and just as she was about to follow Mary's instruction, she smelled the air and turned towards me, rushing at me like a puppy, and I mean it, she is running with all 4 of her limbs, we are going to have to work on that.

She jumped, and I caught her with telekinesis to lower the impact so she wouldn't have gotten hurt. She is strong, but so is my damage absorption and endurance.

She hugged my torso and didn't let go while Mary also ran towards me, her speed not being even close to Laura's, but the effort wasn't unnoticed. To reward her, I placed her on my shoulders, making her see the world from a height she might not ever experience.

" So you did it?" Agatha asked after appearing from thin air; she had most likely hidden herself from the girls' try at becoming a hairdresser.

To answer her question, my body began emitting heat, the kind that makes muscles relax and your soul heal, not the kind that burns people, which helped considering how the Christmas period was coming closer and closer.

" You are a monster," Agatha said to me when seeing my eyes and hair turn a light shade of red, almost orange.

Laura began growling when she heard the words, but it turned into a purr when I placed my hand on her hand and focused more heat on her, making her relax even more.

" How about you girls go play with Yao? I am sure he'd like to have his hair just like Wanda."

I felt something try to slap my head, but it got stopped by mana. Yao must have felt the threat coming for him.

" Yes, Grandpa will love it."

I placed the two down and saw them run somewhere, Laura leading Mary, thanks to her improved senses.

" So you are going tomorrow?" Wanda asked me, her hair changing with quick use of chaos mana.

" I have pinpointed the location of his dimension, and with my new mana, I can make it rain hell from the sky."

" Are you sure about this? It could be dangerous." Wanda, the apprehensive mother that she is, asked me.

" I have to, you don't know how it feels to see the mana around her try to fit in that body and being unable to, though she might seem fine, her soul is slowly rejecting her body, and I am not sure how long she will last."

" No help needed?" That came from Agatha, which surprised us both.

" Hey, I don't want our source of power to die."

" You care," I say while placing a hand on my heart as a tear comes out of my left eye.

" Fuck off." Agatha showed me the middle finger and then disappeared, though I could still feel her mana signature around, most likely trying to hear our discussion.

" Anyway, no, I most likely won't need help; the hard part will be convincing the other mutants their help is also not required."

" You know that you don't have to do it alone?"

" I do, but I am just used to it, and I am not alone, I will never be." I smiled, the new mana fueling my body, giving a new warmth to my smile that made even the coldest souls flinch.

" Good luck then, Saviour of Mutants."

" You say it as a joke, but I am starting to like the title."

Wanda shook her head and turned around, walking away to search for the two hairdressers.

" And send me a picture of Yao."

And then I was gone, reappearing instead on the island where I had last left Jean and the other mutants.

" Adrian."

I didn't even need to spin to recognise Jean's voice; her presence had grown in power as she became more and more accustomed to the Phoenix powers.

" Will you be ready for the possible arrival of victims?"

" Not even a hi? We couldn't even thank you for what you did."

" There is no need for it, I did what needed to be done for quite some time."

" Still... Yes, we are ready. We were able to build back some of the machines that we had at the mansion to heal injuries... but-"

" No."

" You don't even know what I was about to say."

" You wanted to ask if I was sure I wouldn't require help."

" Are you sure I am the telepath?"

" No telepathy needed when it's the 100th time a question is asked."

" *Sigh, Rogue is still angry at you."

" I am aware, I will try to buy her apology with a diamond from Neptune."

" Wait, what?"

" You want one too?"

"... Where did the weak Adrian go?" She asked jokingly.

" Ask the piece of pizza I threw at a hot redhead."
