Mutant Gamer In Marvel

Chapter 78

In the end, I had brought about a change to a stagnating mindset that had caused pain to millions of mutants over hundreds of years, and I had made people see that what they thought was reality was nothing more than a fabricated lie created to instil fear in them towards mutants.

Of course, I had to talk about people like Magneto and his mutants and their way to "protect" mutants, to which I played the survivor of Auschwitz card, after seeing the seeing he had seen, and having the power to bring a change, anyone would feel need to do something, do I like the way he is doing? No, he sees mutants as something above normal humans, and that only mutants should be kept alive, but after seeing the things he saw, anyone would have a distorted point of view.

Talking about Magneto, the expression Mystique makes whenever I ignore one of her questions, she is hidden among the people here, trying to understand my true motives and what pushes me to do what I did. At least she calmed down when I, instead of describing him as a monster, described him as a victim who wishes for revenge, something most humans can relate to.

There were funny moments, sad moments, and some angry moments where people got escorted out without me even having to say anything. I guess Steve truly is a kind soul after all.

" Well, I can say this has been an honour, Adrian. I am sorry for what you had to go through in your whole life, but I am happy for what you are trying to do. As well for explaining things in a way most people, including me, had never known."

" The honour was mine, Steve. Talking about all of these things makes me hope that people will think twice before hating a random kid gaining power because of something out of their control, and if they were to ever fall into anger and try to put such a mutant in danger-"

Silence fell, the calm facade I had kept until that moment crumbling under a show of pure coldness as I looked discreetly at the camera, my eyes glowing because of the pure amount of mana coursing through my body, even people who had never interacted with mana felt something wrong as my silence prolonged, 1 seconds felt like a day, 2 seconds like a months, 3 seconds like a year, and then I spoke.

"-I will know."

Three simple words had turned into a threat that had made every single being shiver, even those not watching felt it, a low growl coming directly from their surroundings as mana felt my anger and became angry on its own, a part of it had been angered, so its whole responded.

The blood of those who had done it turned into ice, the bones of those who ignored it felt like lead, and the mind of the one who ignored it pounded with the worry of being punished.

But then it stopped, a shift, the anger, the fear, the pressure, all disappeared, returning to normal, the same feeling of friendliness radiating from me.

" *Coff, well, that can be called a statement, I hope to meet you again, Adrian."

I simply nodded and then vanished, this time not even using a portal, instead deciding to vanish and only leave behind a trace of blue mana.

" FUCK FUCK FUCK." A tall man with brown hair and glasses wearing a lab coat shouted as he rummaged through papers on his desk, the blood on his face being drained with each passing second, his hands trembling as on the TV played an interview with a very well-known individual.

He had felt it, his eyes had spoken more words than his mouth, he knew, about what he had done, what he had made, the things he had done to discover ways to kill mutants.

An alarm suddenly blasted his ears, and as more fear crept inside his body, he jumped away as he heard the door to his private lab open.

Coming inside is a man wearing black military grade armour with a rifle in his hands, his face is covered by a helmet.

" DOCTOR, WE HAVE TO EVA-"

Before he could finish, the red of the lights got mixed with something else, a much deeper red covered the doctor's body as a hand passed right through the guard's chest, a hand holding his heart and retreating inside the guard's body.

He took a few steps before falling to the ground, revealing the same man who had brought the fear of death to the doctor.

He took a step inside the lab, revealing his body in its full glory, the calmness in his face being out of place inside the chaotic image he had created, the heart in his hand disappearing to who knows where as he stepped over the body before speaking.

" Mana will find a use for your body." His voice felt like poison to the doctor; every single drop of blood on his face was already gone as he peed himself, the only reason he remained standing was because his hands were placed on his desk.

The "hero" then looked at the doctor, even though he had a smile, his eyes betrayed him, and a deep feeling of disgust came out of them as he looked at the doctor.

" Doctor Adam Harkins, I am sorry to say this, but your job in this universe is done."

Before he could even speak, nothing was left of his body; he hadn't been just killed, his blood had turned into mana, muscles had melted, bones were pulverised, soul was captured inside a chaos spell to never be able to go somewhere else.

Now that I had dealt with the first of several nuisances, I teleported back to where the "experiment" had been kept, and after making sure she was alright, I teleported us outside and used almost all of my mana to make the structure crumble on itself, killing everyone inside, the few mutants who were still inside finding the release of death better than any other second on this world.

I ignored the notification and instead looked at the little girl whose hand I had been holding until now.

Her little face showed no emotion, but her eyes betrayed her. A sense of happiness filled her, but she was scared to show it; she had been taught that emotions were a weakness.

" Want some ice cream? My daughter has a hidden reserve she thinks I am not aware of."

She didn't move for a good minute, but then nodded.

" Let's go then."
