Multiverse selection 1 Fairy Tail Karna

Chapter 165: Chapter 162 Aftermath II

The Council Hallway (Remade after Destruction)

Jura walked towards the meeting hall of the council, as it was his duty to report on the battle that resulted in the defeat of Oración Seis as well as the destruction of Nirvana. As he entered the meeting room, he found that every single member of the council was waiting for him to deliver the report and share his findings. He immediately sat down on the seat designated for him.

He reported the incidents one by one—starting from the alliance members' meeting at the safe house, the first battle with the Oración Seis, the subsequent plan made by Karna, and the final unbelievable sight of Karna dishing out Wizard Saint-level attacks continuously for four hours.

Each part spooked many members of the council, and when the final part—where Karna's abilities were described—was shared, it brought alarming expressions to every single one of them.

"But he was supposed to be an archer."

"Unlike most, with either intellect or ability, he seems to have both—and at a level most people haven't reached."

"He hasn't even reached twenty-five. His potential is horrifying."

"Such a person with abilities like this should not be allowed to remain in that guild filled with troublemakers."

One by one, the councillors began speaking about him. Most were fearful of his potential, and many spoke about his loyalty to Fairy Tail as a threat to the council.

"Silence!! Why are you bickering like children? We are supposed to be the council in charge of overseeing the whole of Fiore!" Councillor Orm, the current leader of the Fiore Council, shouted while using his magic, bringing silence to the chaotic room.

Seeing that everything was in order, he turned towards Jura and asked,

"From your own standpoint, at what level would you place Karna Vermillion when compared to the other members of the Ten Wizard Saints?"

Jura pondered for a few seconds and then came up with an answer.

"I have seen the abilities of every Wizard Saint except for the Four Gods of Ishgar and Makarov Dreyar, the fifth strongest among the Four Wizard Saints," he paused for a moment and continued, "and I can say without any doubt that even if the rest of the five, including myself, battled him at the same time, the result would be our complete defeat."

This answer was met with complete silence from the council. Orm tightened the grip on his staff as he thought about the repercussions of this information.

"This cannot be allowed," he muttered.

At the Headquarters of Tartaros

Mard Geer read the report of what had happened in Nirvana from one of his spies embedded in the council's workforce.

"So there wasn't even a single bit of information about Nirvana's workings left among the rubble?" he asked a video mirror on the side of his office.

"Not at all, my lord. By the time we reached there, all that was left were useless bits of rubble, which we were forced to demolish further later on. I have not been able to access information about the battle itself, as it seems like it is being kept secret by the council members. But I will try my best to get information from the captured criminals, as their numbers are too many and they won't realize it if one or two go missing."

"No need for that. Just try to find any other information that might be useful to us in the future, and if possible, use the fact that Karna Vermillion's power surpasses many S-Class wizards as a problem for the council as a whole. Try to use rumours to our benefit."

"Yes, sir," the spy saluted as Mard Geer shut off the call.

He then tried to keep his temper in check as he felt his anger rise. But soon, he was unable to control himself and threw a ball of dark magic at the wall.

SMASH!!!!!

"WHY THE HELL DO YOU ALWAYS HINDER ME, YOU BRAT!!" he screamed.

Mard Geer already had a few miniature demons spying on Nirvana from a distance while the battle was happening. He had seen the abilities shown by Karna through their eyes.

"Damn it, how can he be that strong even while holding back his powers?" Mard Geer muttered, knowing Karna had not used the power to destroy the Books of Zeref while he smashed Nirvana to pieces with his own hands.

"At the level we are right now, we will lose. I must not let that happen," he muttered as he began making plans for the future.

The Floating Ship of Grimoire Heart

Azuma walked out of a tree situated in one of the rooms of the ship and began walking towards the laboratory of Master Hades. He had used a shifting technique that allowed him to teleport between two different trees, as long as both were created entirely by his own magic.

He knocked on the door of the laboratory.

"Come in," a rough voice from inside greeted him.

As he entered, he looked around the room to see the changes since he had last seen it before leaving on his missions. He was surprised to find the disappearance of the heart that pumped magic to Master Hades, but decided it was wise not to poke his nose into things that did not concern him.

He approached the table where Hades was busy with experiments and placed a recording lacrima on it.

Without even looking away from the experiment, Hades asked,

"Did Oración Seis fall?"

"Yes, they did," Azuma replied.

"Expected, since that boy was part of the team. But what about Nirvana? Did you at least get any information about its workings?"

"No, Master. By the time they were done, the rubble had nothing of value left for us."

"Ha, Fairy Tail at least keeps up with their tradition of destruction. Does the lacrima contain information from Brain's dead body or something?"

"No, sir. Not even a single bit of his body was found. But from what I learned by listening, Karna Vermillion killed him."

"As expected. But then why the lacrima, Azuma?"

"You should watch it, sir. Our earlier expectations were an underestimation of Karna's potential."

At that sentence, Hades raised his eyebrows in surprise as he looked away from his experiment for the first time. He then turned toward the recording lacrima.
