"Breathing technique, huh" Makarov said as he read through the book that Karna just give to him.

"Yeah, I found it at one of my S class missions in an ancient ruins, what do you think about giving it to everyone at the guild. From what I have tested from it, it heavily improves the physic and magic of a person" Karna replied with a smile.

"Did you really get it from a ruin like you said?" Makarov asked suspiciously with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes master, do you really think I am lying?" Karna countered with a look of innocence while the whole time, Makarov's eyes where on the sweat falling from the side of Karna's face when the temperature in the room was fairly cool.

"Cough-cough, Alright." Makarov finally said. "This technique depends on a growing body, and will not be as effective on a body past 45- 50 years" Makarov with his vast amount of knowledge analysed the entire technique while finding out a short coming that was not seen before.

"Though that only happens if you start practicing it at that age, if you manage to start at a younger age, it will still as effective or can increase by a lot when you get old" Makarov sighed "People like me, Cornelia Gildarts or Porlyosika along with a few guildmembers will not be able to use them, while giving it unilaterally to everyone else will be a problem"

Karna nodded as he knew about it as well. It's not about whether the guildmembers were trustworthy or not, it's about the difficulty of the breathing technique itself. The technique alone if practiced to the limits can make a person stronger than your average A class wizard which is highly respectable level. And combining this with magic technique will elevate them to S class level as well. But if it interferes with the growth of wizards already on their own path, it backfired on the idea with which it was given.

"I will give it to the wizards who I feel has hit the bottleneck of their path plus the ones who seems to have good foundation and can afford the addition of another Art" Makarov decided.

"Giving it to the idiots who likes to punch their way through everything would work. The breathing techniques require a lot of physical exertion, so the chances of reduction of destruction of properties by their hot bloodedness is very high"

Makarov's eyes started shining.

He immediately ran out as he knew whom all he should give that art to. Imagining the reduction of compensation and apology letters he has to give has made his energy run high.

"Hehe, I would laugh out loud, but remembering my time as the guild master makes me think that I would have reacted the exact same way" Karna turned his head and found Mavis floating nearby. Her expression morphing from laughter to grimace was funny to watch.

Karna yawned while stretching. The last few days has been extremely taxing for him. He was lucky that his stamina was extremely high due to practicing breathing techniques beforehand. He and Cana had started it seeing that the breathing technique depended on practice, time taken and hard work. For both of them, it enhanced their physical capabilities and magic, even though they do not get tired easily, their mental drain was still there.

Karna had expected increase in his death element but seeing that the element of death does not have the property of breathing, his breathing technique had enhanced his other fundamentals like physical strength, stamina, agility, reaction time and magic level and output. Karna was not that disappointed as he had expected it since his magic other than the death element was attributeless. His arcane magic was dealing with Etherious as a whole while his arrows themselves were the elements which he used. So the breathing techniques enhanced his physical might as a whole.

Karna was not disappointed as his already build foundation which he had created for the future has no need of breathing technique in the beginning. The only thing it can do is give a major boost making it reach a level way earlier than he had ever expected.

Mavis looked at Karna and asked him about something she has doubt about.

"Why did you say, you got it from a ruin, I'm pretty sure you created it by yourself." Mavis said with a questioning expression.

"Well after the last incident where I created the Drakon slayer magic, there has been a lot of attention towards me about magic creation (Karna wanted crawl into a hole with shame when he said this). So to make sure that the attention does not come back, I decided to portray it as if like I got it from a ruin, smart isn't it" Karna replied with a smile earning a sigh from Mavis.

'For all the times you does things that makes us think you are a genius, sometimes you show that dense personality of yours when you deal with people close to you. I hope Cana, Ultear or anyone else does not get too much on their hands in the future' Mavis thought with a sigh and began to talk.

"Karna, don't you think Makarov would consider your rejection as you trying to humble yourself about making an entire branch of magic. Plus I'm sure he will tell everyone that he gives his method to that it was you who created it and because of being shy, you are not revealing it outside.

And knowing the behaviour of our guildmates, by the end of the day, everyone will know about it" Mavis finished with a pitying smile.

"Oh, come on that won't happen" Karna said with a smile. But slowly everything Mavis said began to go through his head. And the conclusion he reached made more and more sweat to form on his back.

He gently opened the door of the guildmaster and went outside.

What he saw was Makarov talking to Erza and Elfman with both of them giving admiring looks to him as they sensed him coming outside the room.

"Damn it, I'm screwed"
