Chapter 16: Into The Neverzone

In her castle, Star had just woken up in her bed, looking very confused, "Huh?"

"Oh thank goodness you're finally awake," River said. "Surprised you were asleep though, I thought you were out trying to find your mother."

"Oh, it's you papa. I had quite the wonderful dream. There were unicorns with too many legs, and marshmallows, and mom," Star's eyes widened as she began looking around. "Wait, mom!"

"Oh you found your mother, wonderful!" River said. "Where is she?"

"I don't know, last thing I remember was traveling to other worlds, then a unicorn zapping her away," Star said. "And then...wait, what about the others!?"

"Others? What others?" River asked.

"Willow, Gus and Maddie! They were with me!" Star said.

"Oh them," River gestured to the kids sprawled across the floor. "They're right here, seems they're just as tuckered out as you were."

"Oh man...I had mom, and I let her get away!" Star lamented. "All that work for nothing."

"Now, now dear, it's quite alright, this just means we'll need to keep looking," River said. "On the bright side, Marco and his friends managed to stop Meteora's rampage."

"Wait, they won?" Star asked in near disbelief. "That's...great to hear. I mean, sounds like Marco really pulled off a success."

"Yes, Meteora has been successfully vanquished," River said. "At least that's what Edalyn says."

"Wait, they killed her?" Star asked.

"Oh no, they didn't kill her, Emperor Belos did," River said.

"Wait...Belos!?" Star asked. "As in the Belos from the Boiling Isles!? He killed Meteora!?"

"Oh yes, it's led to quite a tuffle, Eclipsa is not taking this very well I'm afraid," River said.

"I gotta find them!" Star said, running across the floor and immediately tripping over Gus.

"Ow!" Gus shouted, sitting up. "What gives?"

"Come on! All of you!" Star shouted, just as Willow and Maddie also started waking up.

"Ugh, what a nightmare," Maddie said.

"I dreamt of cute Unicorns," Willow said.

"Yeah, me too," Maddie lamented.

"Let's go you two," Gus said. "Something's going on with Star."

Down in the main hall, everyone involved in the battle against Meteora were getting checked for injuries, and readjusting to having their souls stolen.

"How is everyone holding up?" Tom asked.

"I'm fine, still feeling a bit lightheaded," Marco said, the boy still in his Turdina dress.

"Same here," Luz said. "I still can't believe that lady stole my soul."

"Do you remember what it was like?" Anne asked.

"Hard to say, I just felt trapped," Luz said.

"Well, I'm glad you're alright," Anne said. "Seems like everyone's alright."

"Yeah, no thanks to Marco, his stupid plan could have gotten us all killed," Sasha said. "It probably got Kelly's boyfriend killed."

"First off, he's my ex-boyfriend," Kelly said. "Second, he's not gonna die, he's way too stubborn. Third, ease off Marco, his plan did go off well, but Meteora was a bit tougher than we expected."

"It wasn't even hard for her to break out of Marco's trap," Sasha said. "I could have had my soul stolen for good out there."

"You're being too harsh," Tom said. "I mean, yeah the plan didn't work, but that should have been obvious when he named it the 'Doom-Nut'."

"Tom, are you trying to cheer up Marco, or criticize him?" Marcy asked.

"Eh, bit of both," Tom said. "Point is, we don't follow Marco's plans because they're good, we follow them because he's Marco. Even when one lame plan fails, he's always quick to make another, and another, because he's dumb enough to never give up, and that's why we admire him."

"He's not wrong," Hekapoo said.

"Yeah, good point," Kelly said.

"...Still confused on how I should feel," Marco said.

Sasha however looked very bemused, "So, what you're telling me right now is that you intentionally follow his bad plans, because he's too 'dumb' to come up with a decent plan, and that you'd rather take dumb chance after dumb chance for no real reason other than 'just because'. Is that it?"

"It's a Marco thing, you'd need to hang around him long enough to understand," Tom said.

"This is the stupidest shit in the multiverse," Sasha said. "But, since Meteora's dead, I guess all's well that ends well."

"Ahem!" Star said, making her way into the room alongside Willow, Gus and Maddie.

"Star! You're back!" Marco said, running over to the Princess. "How are you feeling? Are you hurt? Did you find your mom?"

"I'm fine Marco, but I couldn't bring my mom home," Star said. "I mean, I almost did but..."

"That place really messed with our minds," Gus said.

"Yeah, that's what I was worried about," Marco said. "Guess something like that can even affect witches, really shows just how powerful-"

"Also, why are you wearing a dress?" Gus asked.

Marco immediately began blushing, realizing how strange this must be for Gus. "Uh...well, you see...I did it to bait Meteora since she's captured princesses before."

"But, wouldn't it have made more sense to use one of the girls to do that?" Gus asked.

"Look, it's a long story, I'll be more than happy to tell you later, but we have bigger issues right now," Marco said.

"Oh yeah, I heard something about Belos destroying Meteora," Star said.

"I kind of had my soul stolen when it happened, so I don't know the exact details," Marco said.

"I can tell you," Anne said, getting Star's attention. "See Eda showed up with Sprig and his friends, and thanks to them, we had regained an advantage over Meteora after she gained the upper hand. Eda was ready to finish her off when Belos showed and used some weird magic and engulfed Meteora in this big batch of white energy."

"Right after that, Meteora was gone, and Belos had escaped," Tom said.

"I was so close to stopping him too," Luz lamented. "Can't believe he'd just show up like this out of the blue."

"I'm just wondering why he would destroy Meteora like that, like what did he have to gain from it?" Amity said. "If he wanted her out of the way, he should have let us keep fighting each other, it would have allowed him to finish off whoever was left. I can't see the tactical advantage of saving us from Meteora."

"It's possible he didn't kill her," Tom said. "For all we know, he captured her to take hostage. That's the only way I can make sense out of this."

"That Ludo guy did say Belos was after Meteora, didn't specify killing her," Anne said. "Of course it doesn't rule it out entirely either."

"He could have wanted her magic," Kelly said.

"If that was the reason, then I don't think any of us who lost our soul would have been brought back," Luz said. "Considering I've been a thorn on Belos's side, he'd probably be more than happy to have me out of the way."

"Great, even when one problem is dealt with, we have a brand new one," Marco said. "We really cannot catch a break."

"Someone should check The Boiling Isles," Luz said. "See if Belos has made a return there."

"Raine's team is on it, they should be back soon to let us know anything," Eda said.

"So what now?" Anne asked. "Do we look for Belos? See why he has Meteora?"

"That is a good start but...I'm more concerned about my mom," Star said. "I still need to find her."

"We'll add that to the To-Do list," Marco said.

"By the way, has Eclipsa shown up at all?" Star asked.

"Last we saw her, she was at the Battlefield, ticked off that her daughter got taken, or killed," Eda said. "Then she flew off, not sure where."

"Globgor! Globgor!" came the voice of Glossaryck. "Globgor!"

"Uh, who or what is that?" Eda asked.

"That's Glossaryck, my magic mentor," Star said. "He lost his mind and has been saying this gibbering for the last several months."

"No Star, it's not gibberish," Glossaryck said, surprising Star and everyone else. "Globgor is the name of Eclipsa's monster lover, she's gone to find him."

"Wait, you can talk?" Star asked. "I thought you lost your mind in that Unicorn dimension?"

"Oh no, I just wanted to say Globgor a lot, it's a funny sounding name," Glossaryck said. "Well anyway, there isn't much you can do at the moment regarding that Belos fellow, I suggest you try finding your mother. Also, make sure to take good care of that Calamity Box, don't want it falling into the wrong hands."

"The Calamity Box?" Marcy recalled one other goal. "That's right, we have to go see King Andrias regarding the Box!"

"Oh yeah, we've been putting that off, huh?" Anne said.

"Well trying to save an empire will do that," Sasha said.

"I hope King Andrias doesn't mind waiting too long," Marcy said. "He was so eager to see it in it's full glory."

"Chill Marcy, King Andrias knows what's been going on here and he'll be understanding," Anne said. "Why don't you just take the box to him, the rest of us need to figure out this Moon Situation."

"Well, I want to but, I really wanted all of us to go as a team," Marcy said. "And I'd like all of our new friends there too."

"We will be," Luz said. "Maybe we should all go now."

"What about my mom though?" Star asked.

"It won't take us long," Sasha said. "We get the Box to King Andrias, then go find your mom. It's not hard."

"Uh...you know what? I'm a bit more worried about your mom," Marcy said. "Andrias can wait a little while longer."

"It's cool Mar-Mar, it shouldn't take that long to just drop a box off to King Andrias," Anne said.

"I know but...I really think we should focus our energy on finding Queen Moon," Marcy said. "That way after we go see King Andrias, he can just send us home."

"But, we really don't need the box to go home," Anne said. "We have the dimensional scissors, the same ones we just used the other day, the ones that took us to Marco's house, which isn't even that far from where we live."

"I know but, it seems special to go back through the Calamity Box, for...sentimental reasons," Marcy said.

"Plus we don't even know where to start looking for Queen Moon," Luz said. "My advice, just drop the box off at the castle. We'll go with you but right now isn't a time to make a grand finale of things, and I don't think you should keep Andrias waiting much longer."

"Well...what's your suggestion Marco?" Marcy asked. "Do you want to take the Box to Andrias now or go look for Queen Moon?"

Marco could tell Marcy was stalling for something, probably because he knew that if she went to Andrias, she'd have to come clean and wasn't ready to do so. "Let's talk about this in the morning, it's been a long day. Andrias can wait a little while longer, that box isn't going anywhere."

"Well, sure, I could use a break," Anne said. "Too much excitement for one day."

"Wait Star, there might be a slight problem," Tom said. "Until your mom comes back, you're still Queen of Mewni, that means you have a lot of Royal Duties to fulfil."

"Ugh, I know," Star lamented. "Now I'm gonna have my hands full with that, maybe I need a council of sorts."

"Uh, that would be us," Hekapoo reminded gesturing to herself, Rhombulus and Omnitrax. "We're your council, the ones you so rudely kicked out of your meeting."

"Also the ones who caused this mess in the first place," Star said. "I have no need for any of you, so why don't you just-"

"Star, be reasonable," Marco said. "I know they did something bad but they're the only ones who know how this Kingdom is run."

"I can get my dad to help me with that," Star said.

"No offense Star, but King River isn't exactly the sharpest sword in the artillery," Hekapoo said.

"I resent that!" River stated.

"Only myself, my bros here and Mina know a thing about how Mewni is run, so like it or not, we're gonna have to work together," Hekapoo said.

Star grumbled in annoyance, realizing her predicament. Much as she hated to admit it, the Magic High Commission were very important to Mewni. "Fine...but we're making changes to how things are done. For starters, no more discrimination towards monsters, it's one of the main reasons Buff Frog left."

"Speaking of whom, wonder how he's doing in Amphibia?" Marco thought aloud. "We should make time to see him."

"Soon, right now I have a lot of construction to oversee," Star said.

"After some rest," Marco said. "It's been a busy day."

"I already got my rest, I need to get stuff done," Star said. "You can rest though since you actually fought today."

"Really bravely too," Tom said. "Amity, your magic was amazing, you make for one intimidating witch! I'm so glad you're on our side."

"Oh, it was nothing," Amity bashfully said.

"Amity is a top student at Hexside for good reason," Luz said. "Actually, she's likely the best one there."

"For now," Maddie said, earning a confused glance.

"Remind me, what is your chosen study at Hexside?" Luz asked.

"I'm in the potions department," Maddie said. "Met a really nice girl there too, her name's Boscha."

"Uh...Boscha and nice is not a compatible sentence," Amity said.

"Wasn't she a friend of yours though?" Gus asked.

"Past tense, I only hung out with her because my mom wanted me to," Amity said. "Maddie, just be sure you keep an eye on Boscha, her kindness might be a ruse."

"I still don't know how you got into Hexside, like I figured it'd be harder," Luz said.

"Someone just found me fascinating, probably because I'm a frog from another dimension," Maddie said.

"Seriously, keep an eye out just in case something shady happens," Amity said.

"Hey if Hexside really is a great enough school to help Amity be a total boss, then it should help Maddie out too," Tom said. "But what also impressed me was Anne and Mary, especially that weird magic you two demonstrated."

"Magic?" Anne asked. "What magic."

"You two gave off this weird radiation and your eyes started glowing," Hunter said.

"My eyes were what?" Anne said, trying to recall. "You know, I do feel this weird boost at times, but at that point, my body just goes into autopilot. Still, have my eyes really been glowing?"

"It might have to do with the magic that transported us to Amphibia in the first place," Marcy said. "Sasha, do you get stuff like that?"

"I think so," Sasha said. "Sometimes when I'm fighting, I feel a strange surge of energy. Even when training with Hekapoo."

"I can vouch for that," Hekapoo said. "It's magic I'm unfamiliar with though."

"Well whatever it is, keep at it," Tom said. "Luz, you did well too, really held your own. Not bad for a human."

"One step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a witch," Luz said.

"Alright Hekapoo, give me a rundown of what my mom was last doing. Rhombulus, go see what needs repairing, and Omnitrax, go see if anyone's hurt."

"What about me? What can I do?" Mina asked.

"Uh...just go patrol or something," Star said.

"Uh, sure..." Mina said, then turned to Sasha. "How's about joining me? Learn more from the best."

"Considering how fast you lost against Meteora, are you really the best?" Sasha asked. "I thought you were this One-Woman Army."

"I am! I just had an off day," Mina said. "How's about giving old Mina a second chance?"

"I guess," Sasha said. "Just try to impress me. Though after spending all that time in the Neverzone, I dare say my sword skills have gotten better."

"Wait, you went to the Neverzone?" Star asked.

"Really helped me prepare for the fight against Meteora," Sasha said. "I spent like sixteen years training with Hekapoo. Time really flies fast in there."

"Yeah, that'll happen," Marco said.

"So if you spent all that time there, have you discovered anything at all about these powers that Tom says we have?" Anne asked.

"Honestly, not really. If I did, I probably don't remember it," Sasha said. "Hekapoo, do you remember anything?"

"You ran off on your own a few times, if you showed this weird power, then I don't think I was around for it," Hekapoo said.

"With luck, it should come back to you," Marco said. "Speaking from experience, the Neverzone is more physical memory, I remember some details but not all of them. Like you said, time just flew by and I didn't even notice it. Anyway, good luck on your patrol."

"Lets go find that Yunan lady, I think she was around here somewhere," Mina said.

"Ugh, really don't want to deal with her," Sasha said.

"Come now Sasha, bonding with Yunan isn't a bad idea," Grime said.

"Pretty sure you don't like Yunan, mainly since she tried to capture us the first time we met her," Sasha said.

"Bygones Sasha," Grime said. "After all, we do want a, Fresh Start, with everyone we can."

"Oh yeah, sure, sounds good," Sasha said. "Hekapoo, I'm going patrolling, catch you later."

"Sure thing," Hekapoo said. "Oh, and Marco?"

"Yeah?" Marco asked, and was then given a pair of scissors.

"Don't lose these," Hekapoo said.

"Wow, thanks for the scissors, really appreciate that," Marco said.

"That's not all," Hekapoo said, then turned to the rest of the girls. "Gotta say, you all fought pretty bravely today, some of you lasted even after I got taken out."

"Told you we had it in us," Anne said.

"Well, here," Hekapoo said, presenting Anne with a pair of scissors. "You only get one, and this is me being generous. One battle isn't quite enough to prove your worth but I'll give you a treat for a job well done."

"Wow, thanks," Anne said, taking the scissors. "I can actually go home. Really makes that Calamity Box feel even more worthless to us."

"...Hekapoo, what more do we have to do to each earn our own pair?" Marcy asked.

"Well there's training, there's battling monsters, though Stars new law might make that part tougher, unless you come to my realm," Hekapoo said. "Just find ways to-"

"Can I train in your realm?" Marcy asked. "I kind of want to get stronger to, so I don't worry about letting anyone down."

"Sorry, but I can't suggest that," Hekapoo said. "My realm is very dangerous and it's very easy to get lost."

"But you let Marco and Sasha train there," Marcy said.

"I didn't let Marco, he followed me when I told him to go home," Hekapoo said. "Sasha I let out of desperation. Even then she ended up losing her soul, and so did I."

"Sasha only lost her soul because she got distracted trying to save me," Marcy said. "That's why I need to get stronger, I can't risk a friend getting hurt again."

"Sorry Marcy, but I cannot condone it," Hekapoo said. "Train out here a bit longer before I consider you for The Neverzone. Maybe if you unlock more of that power of yours, I'll reconsider."

"Right...maybe I should see King Andrias then," Marcy said.

"Marcy," Marco said, getting her attention. "You can do that later, come rest with us."

"Oh, sure Marco," Marcy said. "But um, you will change first, won't you?"

"Huh?" It took Marco a second to remember he was in his Turdina dress. "Oh right."

"Don't get me wrong, you look cute but it's easier if you look like you than like a girl," Marco said.

"I don't know, it's growing on me," Sasha said, rubbing her chin. "I can imagine all kinds of kinky things you can do wearing that dress."

"I am NOT here for your Trap Fetish!" Marco warned.

"Don't worry, I have Anne for that," Sasha said.

"Say what now?" Anne asked, curiously glaring at Sasha.

"Sorry, gotta go patrol, see ya!" Sasha said, making her leave.

"That girl is just so weird at times," Anne said.

"Weird, she spent all that time in the Neverzone, but it's like she barely changed in personality," Luz said. "Marco, don't you mature in there? Like don't you feel older?"

"Not really, I still feel like the same teenage boy I've always felt," Marco said. "I mean, maybe not totally the same but you do gain experience and wisdom, but that doesn't always equal maturity."

"So to be clear, you are technically a teenager right?" Polly asked. "Because, if not then, you dating Marcy might be kind of strange."

"Hey I'm like this in every other dimension, Hekapoo's world is just...different, that's all," Marco insisted. "Look, magic's involved, it doesn't have to make sense."

"Yeah it does," King said. "All magic needs some logic, you can't use magic as an excuse when something's weird."

"Just don't think too hard about it, it's not worth the headache," Marco said.

"But thinking hard is half the fun," Sprig said.

"Since when do you think about stuff?" Polly asked.

"Hey, I use my brain, sometimes," Sprig said. "I'm no genius like Marcy but I'm decently intelligent."

"Exploring the Neverzone would be fun," Gus said. "Not even from that whole age thing, but just about everything else too. Like what their world is like, and how it differs from us."

"Too bad we don't have our own scissors," Willow said.

"Don't sweat it, you can borrow ours," Anne said. "After all, you're part of our team too. Any friend of Luz is a friend of ours."

"That's nice of you Anne," Willow said. "But truth be told, I'd like to visit Amphibia, I'd love to see the plant life there and see how well my magic works."

"Would it even work there?" Gus asked.

"I was able to do magic in Amphibia, and so was Amity," Luz said. "You two can definitely do it there."

"Cool, let's talk it over," Willow said. "To Star's room."

"Actually, I could use a bath first," Amity said.

"Oh, that's a good idea," Anne said.

"I'm not much of a fan of bathing in this world though, the bathrooms feel a bit outdated," Marcy said. "Even King Andrias's castle had decent bathrooms."

"Better than nothing, unless there's a hot spring we can use," Anne said.

"You mean like, go in naked with each other?" Marcy asked, a massive blush appearing on Luz's face.

"I mean we're all girls, it shouldn't matter," Anne said.

"Does that include Marco?" Kelly teased.

"K-kelly, I can't bathe naked with other girls! They might laugh at me," Marco said.

"That's what you're worried about? Not that we'd be naked too?" Anne asked. "Then again, I guess you'd be cool with seeing us girls without clothes."

"I didn't say that," Marco said, the boy now angrily blushing. "I'm just not comfortable showing off my body, I mean you said the same thing yourself once, you should understand."

"We could find a Hot Spring and just go in our bathing suits," Luz said. "But...I don't have my own pair."

"Oh right, I wanted to take Luz shopping for some," Anne said. "Alright, let's nix the idea for now and put up with the showers."

"If we must," Marcy said. "So who goes first?"

The day went on, everyone had bathed, eaten and a few were relaxing in Star's room, but without Star herself.

"What a long day..." Anne said, already in her PJs, as were the others.

"We've had longer," Marcy said. "But yeah, I can't even tell when yesterday started and today began."

"And we might have a few more of those ahead of us, but that's what makes it fun," Luz said.

"Got that right," Anne said. "Also, new PJs?"

"Oh no," Luz said, looking to her shorts. "Well sort of, my longer ones were dirty, Sir Lavabo is washing them, so I'm going short."

"They look cute on you," Anne said, earning Amity's jealousy.

"Thanks, guess we're shorts buddies now," Luz said.

"They really do your legs justice too, way better than the twigs I have," Anne said, gesturing to her own legs. "Plus, your assets below the waist are pretty nice too. Puberty's been nicer to you than it has to me."

"Well I am a year older than you, so you got time," Luz said, sitting next to her friend. "I appreciate your compliments, and don't worry, one day you're gonna have an amazing body. In fact, I can see some development in your chest area, that's definitely ahead of me."

"Really?" Anne asked, grabbing her chest. "I do feel lumps. Well if I got the boobs, and you got the butt, then I guess that makes us even."

"We have our strengths," Luz said.

"So..." Marco said, getting their attention. "How long are you two gonna compliment each other's figures?"

"It's getting kind of old," Amity said.

"Oh it's fine Amity, you look great too, at least your boobs are coming in faster," Anne said.

Amity covered her chest, "I wasn't looking for any input."

"Uh, do the girls talk about this stuff often?" a nearby Gus asked.

"No, well not loudly at least," Kelly said.

"And Marco's sitting there in the middle of it all, by himself," Tom said.

"Well you and Gus are here too," Willow said.

"Yeah but Marco gets pulled into their conversations so much easier, like he has such a unique chemistry when it comes to girls," Tom said.

"That he does, he's got that tough guy thing mixed with some sensitivity." Kelly said. "It makes girls like me feel secure and open."

"Having fun over there?" Marco sarcastically asked.

"Tons of it," Kelly playfully answered.

Marco sighed in annoyance but shrugged it off, "So, none of you think I'm weird for that whole Turdina thing, do you?"

"It's a little unusual, but we're all weird in our own ways," Anne said.

"That honestly was just an infiltration tactic, then it took on a mind of its own," Marco said. "I don't regret it; I helped a lot of girls and it does make me $650 a month in Royalties."

"Plus it was a great way to tick that monster off," Amity said. "Regardless of your choice of dress, what you did today took guts, that deserves nothing but respect."

"Thanks, but we all pulled it off because we worked as a team," Marco said. "I just wish I could have seen more of that magic that Tom mentioned."

"So would I," Tom said.

"Maybe I'd have more time to pull it out, if I could train in that dimension Hekapoo is from," Marcy said.

"Marcy, I wouldn't be too keen in going in, I mean that place put me through a lot," Marco said. "Even if I can't remember it all, I just know it wasn't easy."

"You could always take her," Amity said.

"That might be weird for me since...well," Marco awkwardly rubbed his head. "I turn into an adult and I'd feel weird around the rest of you since you're all teenagers. I mean, I technically am too in this dimension, and every other one, but it'd feel a bit weird."

"Yeah, I get it then," Marcy said. "It's fine, I guess I can find another way to get stronger."

"You don't need to be physically strong," Marco said. "Sometimes its better to work smart than work hard. Focus on your intellect, it's your greatest strength."

"Sure got us through that first temple," Anne said.

"Temple?" Marco asked. "Oh this must be before I met you all."

"You know, I don't think we're all totally clued in on our adventures, we should do that," Anne said. "Good way to pass the time before it's time for us to sleep."

"Before we do, satisfy my curiosity Marco," Marcy said. "What does the Neverzone even look like? I want to see just how dangerous it is."

"What's the point though?" Marco asked.

"Just humor me, please boyfriend?" Marcy said, amping up her cuteness with several blinks.

Marco blushed a bit, giving into his girlfriend's desires, "Alright fine, just a peek. And do not try to rush past me to go inside, because I will stop you. Don't doubt my Red Belt reflexes."

"I won't," Marcy said, eagerly watching on as Marco tore open the dimensional fabric, showing a quick glimpse of the Neverzone. "See? Not really the prettiest place."

"Whoa...so this is where Hekapoo lives," Marcy said. "She must spend years at a time here and back in seconds."

"Probably, I mean she's already like hundreds of years old," Marco said. "Kind of makes it weird when she gets flirty with me."

"She does what now?" a slightly jealous Marcy asked.

"Never mind it," Marco said, closing the portal. "There, happy?"

"Totally, you're the best, Marcy said, bringing Marco in for a quick kiss.

"Sure, no problem," a now flustered Marco said. "Let's get some rest. Hopefully Star does too, and Sasha, don't want them working too hard."

"Kind of worried about Star, she's like what, fifteen and now she's Queen?" Anne asked.

"That happened to her mother too, didn't it?" Luz asked. "I don't think I can handle being Queen of a country at this age."

"Star will be fine, she has us," Marco said, setting out his sleeping bag. "Especially me, I am her squire."

"Well, you do a great job with that role," Anne said, laying down herself.

"You make for a fine leader too, regardless of what anyone says," Luz said.

"Just try to come up with better plan names, Doom-Nut sounded kind of cheesy," Amity said.

"Cheesy is fun though," Marcy said.

"Yeah, cheesy is fun..." A sleepy Marco said, laying down. "Goodnight."

"Guess it's bedtime," Kelly said. "I could hit the sack myself."

"Yeah, another good old-fashioned sleepover," Tom said.

Everyone else began laying down, ready to sleep when Kelly immediately sat up, "By the way, where's Janna?"

"No one cares," Amity said.

"Uh, alright then," Kelly said, going to sleep.

Seconds later, Sprig and his friends walked into the room, seeing everyone out of it. "Guess they went to sleep."

"Bummer, I was hoping for some late night gossip," Polly said.

"Late night? It's the evening...or is it morning?" King asked.

"Don't care, I'm not ready to sleep yet," Ivy said. "Lets go mess around in the halls."

"That sounds fun," Sprig said. "Let's go."

"Wait, should we?" King asked. "I could use a nap myself."

"Too late, you're coming with us," Polly said, taking his hand and leading him away.

"The girlfriend has spoken," Ivy teased.

"Knock it off with that!" King demanded.

A few hours later though, as everyone continued their sleeping cycle, Marcy had woken up, the idea of training in the Neverzone still on her mind. Despite what Marco said, she still wanted to get stronger in the physical sense, and saw her opportunity.

Quietly grabbing the dimensional scissors, Marcy opened the portal leading into the Neverzone.

"Good thing I got Marco to show me, makes this easier," Marcy whispered, sneaking inside and standing in the center of it all. "Whoa...awesome."

She could already spot a few odd creatures, and wondered just what type of anomalies she could find in this dimension.

"I could totally document anything I come across, show it to King Andrias," Marcy said. "Alright, I'm going to spend a few years alone in here, hopefully I don't go nuts from the isolation but Marco and Sasha did say that time kind of flies. For all I know a few weeks just passed from talking to myself, which means I should stop talking to myself and get to training."

"What are you doing!?" the voice of Amity shouted, Marcy freaking out and turning around to see not only the young witch, but also Anne and Luz.

"Huh? What are you girls doing here?" Marcy asked.

"We saw you open that portal, you weren't exactly sneaky about it," Anne said.

"Marcy, didn't Marco tell you this place is dangerous?" Luz reminded.

"Well, yeah..." Marcy admitted. "But I need to work in my battle abilities. I really like Marco and I think we have a good future together, I don't want to not be able to protect him."

"I know Marco's your boyfriend now, but I will say, you're going to extreme lengths for a guy you've only known a few days," Amity said. "I mean, yeah I get that it's possible to immediately click with someone but this is too much."

"Amity does have a point, Mar-Mar," Anne said. "Don't get me wrong, I like Marco, and I like the new friends we made, and I would gladly fight with them, but certain lines do need to be minded."

"You're worried about protecting Marco, but I think he told you 'no' to this place because he wants to protect you," Luz said. "He wants to build a bond with you too."

"Point is, bad idea to go through all this trouble just for a guy, even if that guy's as nice as Marco," Anne said.

"I get it..." Marcy lamented. "But, honestly, it's not just Marco. I want to be able to protect you Anne, remind you that I'm not that clumsy girl you had to always watch over. So far I say I've done a good job at not messing up, aside from Sasha losing her soul because of my carelessness, but I'm getting better. With this place, I can continue to get better."

"Or you could get yourself killed," Amity said, turning around. "Look, let's just get through the portal and-" She saw it was gone. "Oh, it's down. Marcy, open the portal back up."

Marcy briefly glanced at her scissors, then back at Amity, worrying the witch.

"Marcy, I am not playing around, open this portal and take us back to the castle," Amity warned.

Marcy then took a step back, with the others girls now getting worried.

"Marcy, do not do this," Anne said. "Take us back home, right now."

"Seriously, this is not a good place for us," Luz said, awkwardly looking down. "Especially in our PJs."

Marcy seemed to hesitate, though not only were Anne and Luz losing their patience, Amity was already ready to snap at her, and Amity had one mean glare compared to the other girls.

"Marcy Wu, open this portal, right now!" Amity demanded.

Giving in, Marcy decided to step forward, ready to open the portal back to Mewni and placing her plans on hold. But right at the last second, she immediately dashed off, leaving the trio of girls behind, all of them wide eyed and surprised.

"DAMMIT MARCY!" Amity's eyes glowed as she summoned her Abomination. "I am not messing around, get back here right now!"

"I made my choice!" Marcy called as she ran.

Amity leapt on the back of her monster, "I am going to destroy that girl when I find her!"

"Um, Amity, be reasonable," Anne pleaded. "Marcy doesn't mean to be a pain, she's just-"

"Go Abomination, catch that girl!" Amity demanded, the monster following, leaving Anne and Luz behind.

"Ugh, Marcy!" Anne pulled her hair in frustration.

"Well on the bright side, at least we won't be gone long," Luz said. "Since a few minutes here is basically a few seconds out there."

"Let's just go find them," Anne said, taking Luz by the hand and leading her on the chase, the girl blushing a bit from the contact.

Meanwhile outside, as Marco was sleeping comfortably, he felt himself being shaken awake. He opened his eyes to see Polly.

"Sorry to wake you, but do you know where Anne is?" Polly asked. "I kind of have to use the bathroom and I forgot where it was."

"Anne should be right here," Marco said, then noticed she was gone. "Wait, where's Anne? And Luz? Amity? Marcy!?"

"Marco?" Kelly said, waking up. "What's with the shouting."

"Marcy, Amity, Anne and Luz are not here," Marco said.

"They probably woke up and went to eat something," Kelly said.

"They weren't in the dining area," Polly said.

"Then maybe they went outside," Kelly said, laying back down. "Now can it with the volume, I'm still tired."

"Yeah, maybe they just..." Marco noticed something. "Wait, where's the other pair of scissors that was here?"

"Other pair?" Polly asked.

"Yeah, we had two pairs, mine and one that Anne and the other girls were sharing," Marco said, looking around before realization dawned. "Don't tell me."

"What's happening?" Polly asked.

"Polly, wait here, with any luck, this will only take a few minutes, "Marco said, getting his sword and axe, grabbing his scissors as he opened a portal into the Neverzone, the boy immediately taking the form of an adult.

"Whoa! You look like a real man now!" Polly said.

"Ask Kelly to take you to the bathroom, I have some girls to find," Marco said, blowing his whistle as his Dragon Cycle arrived. "Lets ride Nachos!"

The poral closed in front of Polly, the girl still amazed by what she saw, "Wonder if King could ever look like that?"

In the Neverzone, Marco frantically searched around, hoping to find any sign of the girls, "Where could they be? Hopefully they were in here too long."

"Marco!?" Came a familiar voice.

"That sounds like...Anne?" Marco couldn't tell since it was a bit deeper but it sounded like Anne's tone. "Anne!? Is that you!?"

"Marco! Down here!" Anne called.

Settling down near a river, Marco spotted what looked like his friend, "Anne? Is that you?"

Indeed, now all grown up with her hair in a ponytail, wielding a handmade spear, and a different pair of clothes, Anne was waving to get Marco's attention. "Marco! Finally you made it!"

"Anne!" Marco rushed over to hug his friend. "Hey, are you alright?"

"I'm fine...wow, you do have great abs," Anne commented, a devious smile on her face. "Not bad."

"Uh Anne? Focus please," Marco said.

"Oh right...still it's nice to see another familiar face," Anne said.

"Are the other girls here too?" Marco asked.

"Yeah, we all got stuck here together," Anne said.

"How long has it been?" Marco asked.

"I lost track, probably fifteen or twenty years," Anne said. "Time just moves so...weirdly here."

"Yeah, it'll happen," Marco said, checking her body. She seemed to have made an attire out of leaves, bearing her midriff, and no shoes. "You really look different."

"Yeah, I did outgrow my clothes and since then, had to improvise," Anne said. "I mean, I spent months in Amphibia before coming here, so it wasn't hard for me to adapt."

"You look nice though," Marco said, blushing a bit.

"Good to know," Anne said, leaning in and wrapping her arms around Marco. "You're so buff, you know, being away from a decent guy for so long, it really gets my blood pumping to see a friendly face like yours."

"Uh..." Marco felt weird, but he had to admit, adulthood was great to Anne. Not only had her breasts grown out, but she did develop in the leg area. Plus she was a very beautiful woman, but he knew he couldn't do this. "Sorry Anne, but I'm with Marcy, I can't..."

"Yeah, I figured," Anne lamented, pulling back. "Sorry, I know that was weird, I just didn't realize how handsome you were. Plus it's a nice distraction from how tense this world is."

"That's why I didn't want you girls coming here," Marco said. "But don't worry, I'll get you all to safety. Now I take it the other girls aren't around."

"I haven't seen Luz for a couple of years now," Anne said. "I don't really talk to Amity much and Marcy's just...disappeared. I'm worried about her."

"Come on, lets ride on Nachos," Marco said, revving his Dragon Cycle. The two flew off into the sky, looking for any sign of the other girls.

Anne blissfully held onto Marco, not realizing just how great of a guy he was until now.

Marco flew over a more desolated area, keeping a look on the ground below, Anne doing the same.

"There, I see something," Anne said. The two landed near what the swamp girl had spotted, checking the ground. "A Glyph, Luz was here."

"She still uses glyphs?" Marco said. "I figured she'd get better at magic."

"She is, but she got pretty lost without Eda's guidance, plus she and Amity had a bit of a falling out at one point, mostly over me," Anne said.

"Over you?" Marco asked.

"Amity gets jealous when I'm with Luz, she thinks I'm trying to take her away," Anne said. "I do care about Luz, but only as a friend. Luz I think might like me as more than that, and that's why Amity's so upset."

"Have you told Amity that you don't like Luz that way?" Marco asked. "Do you like girls at all that way?"

"I thought I didn't, but I did feel...something for Luz one night," Anne said. "I ended up freaking out a bit and that's probably why Luz left, I might have scared her off. I'm honestly still confused, probably why I flirted with you earlier."

"Well hopefully we can figure this out soon," Marco said. "For now lets-"

"Hey watch out!" Anne shouted, a monster nearly attacking the two.

"Dammit," Marco grabbed his sword and went to do battle. Just before he got close, a huge blast of ice hit the monster, followed by a fire blast. "Huh?"

Nearby Marco could stop a woman in a hooded cloak, leaping in with a staff and sending waves of elemental magic to knock the monster away.

Not wanting to stand around, Marco grabbed his sword and leapt in to attack again, striking the monster with a mighty swing of his sword as the woman quickly created a giant glyph to send one last bit of magic to knock the monster away.

"Whoa, that was close," Marco said, sheathing his sword and turning to the woman. "Wow, you've got some great moves."

The woman pulled her hood back, revealing herself to be Luz, "Marco!?"

"Wow Luz, all grown up huh?" Marco asked.

The look of surprise turned into a look of pure joy, "Marco!" Luz rushed in to hug Marco, the girl feeling teary eyed. "Te extrañé mucho mi amigo."

"Uh, gonna go on a limb and say that you missed me," Marco said.

"Yeah, I did," Luz said, pulling back, rubbing Marco's face. "Wow, you're so handsome Marco."

"You turned out great yourself," Marco said, taking a moment to observe Luz. Under her cloak was a black shirt and some shorts, in addition to her hair being grown out. He also noticed she had some nice hips "Nice clothes."

"Yeah, I was hoping to look more like a witch, but I couldn't find much in this dimension," Luz said, turning around a bit, showing a bit of how plump her butt has gotten, the boy now feeling awkward. Luz then began seductively eyeing Marco. "Still, you look like a total badass. I don't suppose you can show me a different kind of action?"

"Not you too, wasn't it enough that Anne tried flirting with me?" Marco said.

Luz's ears perked up immediately, "Anne?" She turned to see the swamp girl nearby.

"Hey Luz, it's been a while," Anne nervously waved.

"Oh my God...Anne!" Luz rushed over to embrace her. "Sorry I lost track of you for so long, time just got away from me."

"Same, I'm glad you're safe," Anne said, Luz pulling back and gently stroking her face.

"I'm so happy you see you," Luz pressed her forehead against the other girl's. "I know things got awkward once but, I'd rather live with that than without you."

"Yeah, same here," a now flustered Anne said.

"Huh, she moved on from me pretty quickly, starting to wonder if it's just hormones," Marco said. "Anne, Luz, come on, we still need to find Amity and Marcy."

"Ay, Amity," Luz lamented. "More awkwardness to worry about."

"We'll get through it," Anne said.

"Hop on, there should be room for both of you," Marco said.

The boy revved his cycle, Anne behind Marco and Luz behind Anne as they flew off once again.

"Hey Luz, how's your magic been?" Anne asked. "Have you managed to figure anything out on your own?"

"I dabbled with potions a bit, something I did back in Hexside before I managed to get every class," Luz said. "I can do a bit of magic on my own, but I'm just so used to the glyphs since they're more guaranteed to work. What about those powers of yours?"

"If I used them, I don't remember," Anne said. "Like I once said, it's an autopilot thing, and I still haven't gotten proper control."

"Sometimes I wonder if this dimension hampers our skills a bit," Luz said. "A lot of our abilities might be from the environment in addition to our skill."

"That is theoretically possible," Marco said. "It's fine, remember, the moment we step outside this dimension, you girls will be young again, and that gives you more time to hone your skills. Even I had much more to learn after leaving this dimension, especially to accommodate for my body."

"It's gonna be so weird when we get back, I mean we were gone for years here but back home, it's been like what, ten minutes?" Anne asked.

"I think so," Marco said, then noticed a snowy region in the distance. "Crap, that place. Watch out for the wraiths."

"We've been around there," Luz said. "Oh, by the way, we ran into a woman who said she knew you, her name's Brunzetta."

"Oh you met her? That's awesome," Marco said. "She's really cool, isn't she?"

"Very badass, but wow she has muscles," Luz said. "I didn't even know girls could get that muscular."

"I don't think she's human, that's why," Anne said. "Personally I'd rather not look that buff, but that's just my opinion."

"Yeah, leave the buff sexiness to Marco," Luz said.

"I second that," Anne said.

"You girls really are flirty today," Marco said, then noticed someone down below, walking with a monster behind her. "That creature, that's the type Amity summons."

"I think it is her!" Luz said.

Indeed an older Amity was walking along the snow. She wore a dark purple bodysuit with a pink cape behind her and longer hair past her shoulders. Though she didn't have the same dye she had, instead of it covering her whole head, she instead had streaks of pink with her naturally brown hair.

"Amity!" Marco called, the witch's ears perking.

She looked up to find a very familiar face, "Marco?"

"Girls, land Nachos," The boy said, leaping off his dragon cycle.

"Wait, how!?" Anne said, desperately grabbing the horns and trying to drive.

"Amity! It's me Marco!" the boy said, running to the girl.

Amity stared in disbelief, despite the age difference, she could immediately recognize his features, from his hair to his mole. "Marco...it's really you."

"Oh man, am I glad to see you're safe," Marco said, getting closer to the girl.

Suddenly the monster that was following its master stood in Marco's path, about to strike when Amity called to it. "Abomination stop! He's not an enemy."

Cautiously, the creature stood aside, leaving Marco a bit weirded out, "Wow, guess it doesn't remember me, or is it that the creature changes each-"

Suddenly he felt a hug from Amity, taking him by surprise, "It's really you! I knew you'd come to this world one day."

"Yeah, sure is," Marco said. "These girls sure love their hugs."

Amity pulled away, gently stroking Marco's face, "Wow, I can see why Star was infatuated with this...older you. You're a really handsome guy Marco, not that I'm surprised, you were really handsome as a teen too."

"You grew up well yourself," Marco said, noting how decently sized her breasts were and how her suit complimented her hips. "I like your hair, looks like you're trying a different style."

"Oh yeah..." Amity said, puffing her head. "I considered just going all natural but I kind of liked the purple, so I left a little bit in. I did once consider green but...that came with too much emotional baggage."

"Well regardless, you're still a good-looking witch," Marco said. "Hope you don't mind me saying but, you're very pretty."

"I don't mind at all," Amity said. "Believe me, if I were into boys, I'd be all over you. Like really, you look amazing with those abs, I mean you were cute as Turdina but wow."

"Oh, you still remember Turdina?" Marco awkwardly asked.

"It doesn't feel that long ago for some reason," Amity said. "Still, you have me wondering Marco Diaz."

"Eh, you shouldn't, you're better off not being with me, you're way beyond my league," Marco said. "Well so is Marcy and I managed to-"

"Marcy..." Amity said, her fists clenching. "She's the one who got us into this mess! I went chasing after her years ago with Luz and Anne, then...wait, Anne and Luz. I lost contact with them so long ago."

"Don't worry, I found them," Marco reassured. "They should be landing and making their way over any-"

"Marco!" Anne shouted in annoyance and she and Luz angrily stomped toward him. "Are you nuts? I don't know how to drive that thing."

"She has a name, and she can pilot herself if need be," Marco said. "You're fine, aren't you."

"I am but..." Anne then noticed Amity. "Oh...hey Amity."

"Hi Anne..." Amity said, then focused on the girl next to her. "Luz..."

"Amity..." Luz said.

Marco did recall hearing about awkward tensions, mostly due to romance related stuff. "So...I know things were bad but, we do need to work together and get home. We just have to find Marcy."

"She's up there," Amity said, pointing to a mountain peak. "I tracked her down here recently."

"Wait, what's she doing there?" Marco asked.

"I don't know, but I'm going to kick her ass and get those scissors back, and she's not getting away from me this time," Amity said. "Of course, since you're here I guess I don't need the scissors, but I'm still thrashing her."

"Wait, I'd rather you not hurt my girlfriend," Marco said.

"Marco, I respect that she's your girlfriend, and I know that you have to take her side, but she trapped us here for like...sixteen years!" Amity said. "Maybe more, I lost count."

"Yeah, I know she did but...please, let me deal with her," Marco said. "She's my girlfriend, so she's my responsibility."

"Actually, she's mine," Anne said. "I don't know why Marcy did this, she's never this selfish."

"Uh...right," Marco said, remembering that Marcy is the reason Anne and Sasha got trapped in Amphibia.

"But I still need to talk to her," Anne said. "I mean, she probably didn't think it'd be a big deal since once we got back home, it's like none of this happened. But, it did happen. I miss my family more than ever, I miss my friends now, I mean Luz hasn't seen her mother in years now because of this."

"I can't even text her from here," Luz said.

"Marcy does need to face consequences, and while I'd rather Amity not hurt her, I do need to give her a piece of my mind," Anne said.

"Anne, I am going to hurt her, regardless of what you or Marco say," Amity said.

"Well, what about me?" Luz asked.

"What about you? I mean you made it clear that you choose Anne," Amity said.

"Come on Amity, you're starting to sound like Sasha," Anne said. "Luz didn't choose me, she cares about you too. The stress just got to us and I guess we said hurtful things, but I do want to make things right with you."

"Amity, I'm sorry if I hurt you, and I want to make it up to you," Luz said. "Let's go back home and figure this all out."

"I'll gladly go back...after I kick the crap out of Marcy," Amity said, rushing up the mountain.

"Amity! Wait!" Marco said, the girl too determined to quit. "Damn it all."

"Come on, let's hurry," Anne said, rushing up with Luz.

Meanwhile Marcy was resting at the peak of the mountain, the girl having grown decently herself, her hair a bit longer, and now wearing a place of armor around her torso and a pair of shorts. Beside her was a mace as well as a sword.

"Marcy!" Came Amity's voice, the girl turning to find the witch.

"Back for more?" Marcy asked.

"I hope you got some new tricks, because I am out for your blood now," Amity said.

"Heh, you've said that before," Marcy said, standing up and slowly turning around. "But I have always admired your confidence."

"Save the flattery, it's not going to help you," Amity said, readying her magic. "Don't worry, you'll live, but barely."

"I gotta say, I like this side of you," Marcy said, readying for a fight as well. "Shall we?"

Before the showdown could commence, Marco had gotten their attention, "Hey! Wait up!"

"Marco?" Marcy said, looking behind her opponent.

"You're open!" Amity sent her abomination to attack but Marcy was quick to dodge and rushed in with a mace to whack the monster in the face. It reformed and attacked again but Marcy rolled back, using her mace to block any incoming strikes.

Another abomination tried to attack from behind but Marcy used her sword to parry and slice it in half before leaping out the way of a fist slam.

"Gotta do better than that," Marcy said.

"Don't underestimate me!" Amity said, bringing out a staff and lunging at Marcy, trying to strike but Marcy used her mace's handle to block and then kicked Amity back. She rushed in with the handle end to strike but Amity ducked and kicked Marcy in the stomach before sending her abomination magic to knock her over.

"Amity! Cut it out!" Marco called.

"Sorry Marco, I know she's your girlfriend but she needs to answer for what she's done!" Amity shouted, rushing in to attack again, but Marcy leapt over her and used her crossbow to hit a monster in the face and then used her mace to whack the second back.

Amity used a bit of her magic to grab Marcy, pulling her in for a kick to the head, sending Marcy tumbling over, but she rolled through and rushed in, throwing some blows that Amity blocked, until one failed parry that left her open for another attack from Marcy, hitting her square in the jaw.

"Whoa, Marcy's gotten good at fighting," Anne said.

"I gotta break it up," Luz said, readying her magic. "Ice!"

She created an ice wall between the girls, irritating Amity. "Luz!"

"I had to! This fighting needs to stop!" Luz said.

"Just stay out of it!" Amity destroyed the ice, though on the other side was a confidently smirking Marcy, her eyes briefly glowing green as she rushed in with more strikes that Amity did her best to dodge and parry.

More of the abomination magic came but Marcy was quick to dodge, fighting back with her mace and sword, such agility impressing Marco.

"You're not getting one over on me!" Amity shouted, rushing to attack again.

Marcy smirked, rushing in herself, ready to fight when Anne appeared in the middle, grabbing both their fists, stopping the next attack.

"Enough!" Anne shouted, her eyes also glowing a bit.

"Whoa, Anne, nice moves," Marcy said. "Wow, it's been so long, that a new look?"

"Marcy, this isn't a game," Anne said. "You had us chasing you for over ten years now!

"Honestly, it doesn't feel that long," Marcy said. "This world just goes on fast forward at times, seems like yesterday I was in my mid-20s battling against a horde of monsters, with my trusty sword and mace."

"I fought monsters too, Marcy," Anne said. "It really wasn't fun."

"Same," Luz said, walking over herself. "Not ideal for us."

"Hey it's all good, I mean when we get back, it'll be like we never left," Marcy said. "I'll still be the same thirteen-year-old girl while you girls-"

"Marcy! You're not understanding this!" Anne shouted. "I know that we'll be young again, I'm not worried about wasting my life here, I'm upset because I had to endure it in the first place. I felt the trauma of this place, and I want nothing more than to just go back home!"

"Yeah, me too," Luz said. "You had your fun Marcy, can you please come back with us?"

"Honestly, you could have just sent us home if you really wanted to stay," Amity said.

"Hey you're the ones who followed me in here," Marcy said. "I was fine coming in alone."

"Even though I told you not to?" Marco said, making his presence known again.

Marcy's eyes widened in surprise, knowing what she saw earlier wasn't an illusion. This was definitely Marco, and older and much more buff Marco. "Wow..."

"Marcy, you had us worried about you, do you have any idea what this place did to these girls?" Marco asked.

"But, it worked out, I've gotten stronger," Marcy said. "You saw how I kept up with Amity! And she's a powerful witch!"

"Not the point, you could have gotten hurt, or killed," Marco said. "I just got you in my life Marcy, I don't want to lose you. I know we've only dated for a few days but, I still feel something special for you and I want to nurture than, not lose out on it."

Marcy began to feel guilty over this situation, "I'm really sorry Marco. I know this was selfish but, I had to try and get stronger. This way I know I can keep you safe too, and now you know I can take care of myself so you don't need to worry about me."

"I'll always worry, about you, Anne, Luz and Amity," Marco said. "You girls just came into my life but you already mean a lot. I mean, when you fight life or death battles with someone, you grow attached to them pretty quickly."

"That's sweet of you, Marco," Anne said. "Honestly, what got me through this was knowing that even if I couldn't find Marcy, that you would come bring us home."

"Same, you came to our rescue, like a real hero," Luz said.

"And a good friend, anyone who'd go through all this trouble is a keeper as far as friends go," Amtiy said.

"You girls are definitely keepers," Marco said. "Especially you Marcy. Please, just come back with me."

"Yeah, of course," Marcy said.

"Also, you turned into quite the woman," Marco said, eyeing the girl. While she's developed well, it was her face that stood out the most to him. "Like, wow, you're really beautiful."

"Aw, thanks," Marcy said, blushing. "I really like your abs."

"Lots of girls do," Marco said, then felt Marcy wrap her arms around him.

"Your muscles feel so amazing too," Marcy said, then pulled her scissors out. "Here, take these Amity."

"Sure...are you coming though?" Amity asked.

"Give me some time with Marco, there's a lot I want to catch up with him on," Marcy said, leaping and wrapping her legs around him, seductively eyeing him. "I have years of pent up feelings to unleash."

"Uh...right," a now blushing Amity said as she opened the portal back to Mewni. "See you in a few..."

"Try not to have too much fun," Anne said.

"No promises," Marcy said, pulling Marco in for a big kiss, the most fiery and passionate kiss that she's given him since they started dating.

Amity, Luz and Anne stepped back through the portal, back to their original ages, looks and clothes.

"Gonna miss having boobs," Luz said.

"I'm gonna miss having nice legs," Anne said.

"Oh, you're back already?" Polly asked. "That was fast, Marco just left a second ago."

"Yeah, we were in the Neverzone for like, twenty years," Anne said. "Give or take."

"You were!?" Kelly asked, getting up again. "How? When did that happen?"

"We got trapped there looking for Marcy," Anne said.

"Well, do you remember anything?" Kelly asked.

Anne was about to say but she started feeling strange, "No, actually not really. It feels like it happened a long time ago now."

"Same, I don't remember much of it at all," Amity said.

"Me neither," Luz said. "I remember some of the monsters but...it's like Sasha said. It feels like a dream."

"So, you don't remember all the cool stuff you did?" Polly asked.

"I remember fighting Marcy a lot," Amity said.

"I remember having to fight monsters with a handmade spear," Anne said.

"But yeah, we don't remember all the details," Luz said. "The only other thing I have a vague memory of is a fight that Amity and I had."

"Yeah, it's in the back of my head, and for some reason, Anne here just makes me unhappy," Amity said.

"Uh, any chance you can make that memory low priority to remember?" Anne asked.

"I'll give it a shot," Amity said.

"Wait, where's Marco?" Polly asked.

"With Marcy..." Anne said, not wanting to get into any details.

"Well, I need to use the bathroom, and I forgot where it is," Polly said.

"Uh, Polly, there's one right there," Anne said, gesturing to a door. "Star has a private bathroom."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that," Polly said, hopping off. "Well, time to pee."

"We don't need to know what you're doing," Amity said, then looked around. "So...what do you girls wanna do now?"

"I'm hungry, let's go eat some food," Anne said, taking her leave. "For some reason, I'm craving something extra tasty."

"Probably from any junk we had to eat in the Neverzone," Luz said, following Anne. "I can tell it was a nightmare."

"You two are such wusses," Amity said, following the girls.

A minute later, the portal opened again, Marcy being the first to jump through. "We're back!"

"Oh, there you are," Tom said. "You spent some extra time in there, huh?"

"Just another few months," Marcy said, flexing her arms. "Too bad I lost my cool womanly figure, but it's fine, I still Leveled Up."

"Marcy's really improved in there," Marco said. "The two of us had so much fun that well, time got away from us."

"I feel so refreshed, completely reborn! Gone are the days of clumsy Marcy, and now comes the arrival of one of the Neverzone's best warriors, Mar-" Suddenly the girl tripped over a pillow, landing on some blankets. "Dammit..."

"Yeah, you might get nerfed a bit upon returning, at the very least you have the experience, wisdom and muscle memory, but it takes a while to adjust to your new body," Marco said. "Plus, some of the memories you had in there, well expect them to fade away like you just woke up from a dream."

"...Great," Marcy said. "I just hope Hekapoo won't be too mad when she finds out about this."

Meanwhile Star continued her Queenly duties, the pressure piling on the girl as she lamented into the sky. "It's barely been a couple of days and I need a break...Where are you mom?"

The search for Queen Moon would continue, along with getting answers for what Belos did to Meteroa as well as returning the Calamity Box to King Andrias. The problems just don't cease.
