Multiversal Wanderer: Starting in Naruto

Chapter 99: Chapter 99: The Prologue Begins

Natasha slowly opened her eyes, tears glistening on her cheeks.

A beautiful dream—just a dream after all.

The past was gone, never to return.

"Thank you, Mr. Su... thank you for letting me dream again," she murmured.

Wiping away her tears, Natasha didn't care that she had just cried in front of a group of strangers. The warmth she felt in the illusion was worth it. Even if she knew it wasn't real, the memories relived were priceless.

"Alright, 10 million. And don't forget Nick Fury's cut," Su Xiuyu interjected, completely ruining the emotional atmosphere.

Natasha blinked at him, speechless.

"I'll transfer it later... Why are you in such a damn hurry?"

It was the first time Nick Fury, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., had ever been asked for money so bluntly.

"You got all that intel. Shouldn't you be thrilled? Don't act like you're being robbed," Su Xiuyu added, clearly amused.

Fury didn't even flinch. As a seasoned director and a pure black man, his poker face was practically impenetrable. Without another word, he left with his agents, burdened with the weight of new intel and a bigger headache than before. The Statue of Liberty incident had finally reached its conclusion.

Uchiha Madara was starting to lose his mind with boredom. Lazy days had turned into lazy years. After learning how to pilot the Skrull spaceship, he couldn't sit still any longer.

"Xiu Yu, I'm taking Izuna to explore the universe. Earth is boring as hell now."

Hearing Madara's complaint, Su Xiuyu could only chuckle awkwardly. He had been slacking lately. No wonder Madara was getting restless.

"You sure you can fly that thing now? Navigation and all?" Su Xiuyu asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I've learned it all. The Skrulls gave me a full crash course. Besides, I've got the portal jutsu. What's the worst that could happen?" Madara answered, confident and cocky as ever.

"Just be careful. There are a lot of monsters out there—plenty stronger than me. Don't mess with Odin, steer clear of the High Evolutionary. If you can't win, run. Don't let your pride get you killed."

Su Xiuyu understood how dangerous the Marvel Universe truly was. Madara, while terrifying on Earth and now just half a step into the Six Paths level, still wasn't invincible. The real big names in this universe were tanky freaks with high durability and even higher bullshit potential. If Madara decided to fight one head-on, he'd be in serious trouble.

"I got it, I got it!" Madara waved him off, clearly not taking the warning too seriously.

And so, Madara and Izuna, along with a handful of their clansmen and some Skrulls, blasted off into space. Before they left, Su Xiuyu privately reminded Izuna to keep an eye on his brother. Izuna might not be as powerful, but at least his IQ was better than Madara's.

---

Ten years passed.

In that time, Su Xiuyu's Otsutsuki bloodline matured further. His chakra reserves surged, his physical body strengthened, and he grew more in tune with his powers. He had also fully explored the depths of his Rinnegan. These weren't transplanted eyes like Nagato's—these were truly his, and that made all the difference.

As for Bobby, his first disciple… well, let's just say the kid had grown a lot.

Bobby would've liked to say he was forced to train so hard, but between the pain and the praise, it was addictively satisfying. The only real downside? His master hadn't aged a day in ten years—and neither had his master's wife.

Only Uchiha Chisato had noticeably grown. She had become a tall, beautiful young woman.

"Long time no see, Sorcerer Supreme."

Su Xiuyu raised his head as Ancient One stepped out from a portal. It had been a decade since her last visit to the Uchiha compound, though they'd stayed in contact through the years.

"Long time no see, Mr. Su." The Ancient One strolled in, calm and collected as always.

"You've grown powerful. I can't even see your future anymore."

"Thanks to you. The magical knowledge from Kamar-Taj helped a lot. Are you sure you don't want to study ninjutsu? Could be fun," Su Xiuyu offered, though he knew the answer.

"I'm no ninja. Learning your art would take far too much time and effort." She declined politely, shaking her head.

"You've got the time though," Su Xiuyu teased, knowing full well she could extend her life using the Dark Dimension's power.

"You truly know everything, don't you? But aren't you afraid of the darkness?"

"As long as I have power, why should I be afraid? Fear only exists when firepower isn't enough. I have what it takes to protect myself and the people I care about."

Su Xiuyu's words rang with a sharpness that even the Ancient One couldn't ignore. He was right—strength changed everything.

"The timeline has gone off-track ever since your arrival," she admitted. "I can sense a storm coming, but I can't see where it leads anymore."

"Isn't that more exciting? The unknown makes life fun." His voice carried the thrill of a true adventurer, and even the Ancient One couldn't help but smile.

"Mr. Su, would you consider becoming the next Sorcerer Supreme?"

"I haven't thought about it," Su Xiuyu replied casually. "Don't you already have a successor in mind?"

She sighed. "I did. But while Strange is talented, he lacks your sheer potential. You're beyond me in magic aptitude. Only your current foundation needs time to catch up."

As for Ned—he was still a kid, not ready for that kind of responsibility.

The Ancient One wasn't sure how Su Xiuyu knew so much—especially since the Eye of Agamotto, the Time Stone itself, was in her possession. And yet… Su seemed to know more futures than even she could grasp.

"If you accept the role, I'll gift you the Eye of Agamotto. It'll be yours, permanently. The next Sorcerer Supreme wouldn't have a claim to it."

It was a tempting offer. Among all the Infinity Stones, the Time Stone was arguably the most beneficial to Su Xiuyu. His spatial techniques were already top-tier thanks to his Otsutsuki heritage, but time manipulation? That was an area he had yet to master.

"Ancient One, do I look like the kind of guy who'd steal your treasure? What kind of person do you take me for?" Su said with a straight face, full of mock righteousness.

The Ancient One just smiled knowingly, as if seeing straight through him.

"…Alright, alright. You got me. I am that kind of guy. I accept—but only when you're ready to retire. I'm not taking the job yet."

"Then it's settled," she said. "I'll hold onto the Eye for now. Since you're too lazy to handle the Sorcerer Supreme duties, you don't get the goodies just yet. But if you ever need it, come find me."

Su Xiuyu watched her leave, scratching the back of his head.

"You really acted like a greedy bastard just now," Uzumaki Mito teased, arms crossed with a smirk on her lips.

"I am a greedy bastard. I never denied it."

"Oh, and don't forget—Chisato's birthday is tomorrow. Take her shopping. I've got plans with Ororo Monroe to get our hair done."

"Yeah, yeah. Got it."

He turned toward the window and looked at the sky.

--------------------------

"Morning."

"Morning."

"You look beautiful today," Su Xiuyu complimented sincerely, without hesitation.

Uchiha Chisato wasn't the young girl she used to be. Whether it was the nourishment of chakra or the magical enhancements from Kamar-Taj, she had matured into a stunning young woman. Though she didn't quite rival the famously voluptuous Samui or Tsunade, Chisato had grown into a graceful beauty—long, straight black hair, an elegant face, long legs, and a figure that turned heads.

Su Xiuyu might've been oblivious at first, but he wasn't an idiot. After all these years, even though Chisato had matured, she still chose to follow him around like a shadow. It didn't take a genius to figure out what that meant.

In fact, over the years, Su Xiuyu and Uzumaki Mito had never really hidden their relationship from Chisato. Quite the opposite—Mito had always included her, even gently pushing her closer to Xiuyu. Today's so-called "birthday celebration" was arranged entirely by Mito, giving Chisato the perfect excuse to spend the day alone with him.

Su Xiuyu, ordered to flirt with another woman by his own fiancée… What more could a man ask for?

The two dressed casually and drove a low-profile BMW 5 Series through the streets of New York, looking just like any ordinary couple out on a date.

New York, the city of money, had everything for sale if you had the cash. Xiuyu picked out a few outfits and jewelry pieces for Chisato. No matter the world or timeline, one thing remained true—women loved to look good, especially for the ones they liked.

Their relationship had finally passed that unspoken boundary. Holding hands, strolling side by side, Chisato blushed furiously but didn't let go. Feeling his warmth, she thought this might be the happiest moment of her life. She'd waited for years, and now she was here—hand in hand with the man she loved.

They passed a high-end lingerie store, its interior radiating a... special kind of atmosphere.

For some reason, Chisato muttered, "We're short on underwear and swimsuits."

Without a word, Xiuyu walked in with her.

The sales associate, seeing a well-dressed couple, rushed over enthusiastically. "Good afternoon! Welcome to Victoria's Secret. How may I assist you today?"

Chisato's face flushed with embarrassment, but she was undeniably pleased. Silently, she thanked Mito for her support.

Though Xiuyu had been to lingerie stores before, he still felt overwhelmed by the choices. Chisato picked out a few pieces with the help of the attendant.

"Xiu Yu, do you prefer this nude one or the black one?" she asked, completely unfazed. She wasn't shy when it came to dressing to please someone she loved.

"I think the black one looks better," Xiuyu answered, slightly embarrassed—but only slightly. Two lifetimes of experience helped.

"What about swimsuits? Which style do you like?"

"This one… this one… and not that one. Pack the rest."

The sales clerk was practically glowing. She hadn't expected a big spender today, but this couple was the real deal.

After paying, the clerk promised to have the items delivered to their address.

Next was a candlelit dinner. After over a decade of companionship, Xiuyu and Chisato already had a natural chemistry. But only now were they officially acknowledging it.

The sunset that evening was breathtaking, the sea breeze gentle, as if the world itself was blessing their union. The shadows of the two stretched close together under the dying light. Chisato leaned her head on Xiuyu's shoulder.

"I love the sunset tonight. I wish I could share every moment of it with you," she whispered.

"We've got a long road ahead of us—one thousand years, two thousand, maybe three. Don't worry, Chisato," he said softly.

"Then I hope this moment lasts forever."

After a long pause, their lips met.

When they finally separated, Chisato pouted.

"Brother Xiuyu, I feel like I've been wronged."

He blinked. "Huh? What do you mean?"

"I heard that in the East, a girl's first kiss is really important. I gave you mine today… but you already gave yours to Mito-nee."

Her playful accusation made Xiuyu break into a cold sweat. Damn, that was embarrassing.

Just then, a red blur flew over their heads with a loud crash, interrupting the moment and saving Xiuyu from answering.

"Out of the way!" someone shouted.

Without thinking, Xiuyu grabbed the red figure mid-air, stopping it in place. He nearly pulled the arm off the red metal suit.

"What the hell?" Tony Stark blinked, shocked. He hadn't expected to be caught—caught—by a civilian.

Lifting his mask, Tony quickly asked, "Are you two alright? You need to get out of here!"

Though confused by the guy's ridiculous strength, his concern was real. Arrogant as he was, Tony didn't like innocent people getting hurt.

Across the street, an explosion erupted from Stark Industries. Flames shot ten meters into the air. Some unknown chemical must've gone off.

"Tony Stark?" Su Xiuyu recognized him instantly. That goatee, that face—he looked exactly like Robert Downey Jr.

And if it looked like Robert Downey Jr., it had to be Iron Man.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm a celebrity. I know. But you really need to run, man! The big guy's still inside, and if he comes out, you'll both be toast!"

Just as Tony said that, a massive figure burst through the flames—a hulking metal suit, even larger than his.

Obadiah Stane had never been this thrilled. Ever since Howard died, Tony had never shown him the respect he thought he deserved. Now was his time to shine.

"Tony Stark! You arrogant brat! This is the day you die! Should've stayed dead in Afghanistan!" he bellowed.

Chisato frowned, irritated. "My first date just got ruined. Am I allowed to be mad, Brother Xiuyu?"

"Sure, but don't kill Tony. He's not the enemy. Handle the big guy."

Tony's jaw dropped. "Wait—what? Are you two insane?!"

Before he could say more, lightning crackled from Chisato's hand.

"Thunder Release: Raikiri!"

A bolt of lightning over twenty meters long shot forth, slicing the Iron Monger clean in half. Obadiah screamed. Pain flared through his legs, and then lightning speared straight into his forehead. Everything went black as his lifeless body slumped forward inside the split armor.

Chisato, still not satisfied, turned her gaze to Tony.

He was just standing there, mouth open.

Wrong move.

She kicked him square in the stomach, sending him flying like a bowling ball into the nearby ruins.

Thankfully, Tony's armor took most of the hit. Still, he threw up on impact.

"Why the hell did you hit me?!" he groaned, doubled over inside the suit.

He knew full well—if that lightning had hit him, he'd be dead. All he could do now was curse in silence.
